Anyone had Varric plunging into the deeps cause he aint careful bout his ability to jump back???

 

I was doing Valammar which has lots of bridges over a deep dark whole, and the idiot kept jumping back into it!!!

 

First few times were hilarious, i mean the little dwarf kept diving into darkness, just short of screaming Geronimoooo!

 

But the problem is when he does it, he stays stuck under there in some kind of rock in the darkness, and if i switch control to him there is no way to bring him up, and jumping further down will take him back to the same rock. So EVERYTIME he does his trick i have to reload my previous save and hope he is not feeling suicidal.

 

Conclusion: When fighting in high places just disable that ability from the AI, it might save you a lot of time in reloads

If you get far enough away from a stuck companion, I'm fairly sure they will teleport to you.

Ihad something like this on Dragons dogma whith Pawns just litteraly leaping to there deaths whenever i came to a ledge.

Well Valamaar is not that big to have room for that tho didnt try that to be honest, but will do if it happens again.

My point is though is that he won't be permanently stuck down there, so at worst you might just have to deal with being down to three party members for a little while.

Haven't had that glitch but whenever I speak with Varric in Haven he always starts sinking into the ground only to pop up again. It looks like he's standing in quick sand.

Try controlling him while you cross the bridge. Then you can change back your normal character after.
