Ok i have already pre ordered my version of the collectors edition and done checks on my system to see if it can run it. i am on a laptop with

intel core duo 2.4 ghz processor (i think it is the p8000 model or something)

3 Gb RAM

Nvidia Gforce 9600M GT graphics card (has enough on board memory. easily)

and so im wondering if i will be able to run this game at "playable and enjoyable" settings. i dont need the highest graphics just enough to run at a smooth rate to make the game enjoyable. i have a cooling pad underneath my laptop so i dont need to worry about it heating up too much :)

thanks for your input in advance :) :o

It should definitely be fine on low-mid settings.

I have almost the exact same set-up. I've been playing DA:O on full settings without lag. ME2 shouldn't be a problem, and it will look stunning. Giddyup :)

DAO and ME run different engines...keep in mind that it isn't the best comparison.

Different engines, yes...but in terms of the OP's questions, still related in terms of process power, GPU demands, and expected frame rates.

The game will run fine on the 9600GT, as long as you drop the detail a bit and, if you're not big on the frame rate you've got, maybe drop the resolution.
