I have yet to get the game....even though i preordered it on Amazon in June, it wont be shipped until next week Monday.

I have been reading A LOT of pissing and moaning about glitches. I know this is the BSN....so toxic communication is a guarantee..... but are the glitches nearly as bad as the games that Obsidian and Bethesda releases?

Dont tell me how good their games are and yadda yadda....we all know that they are chalk full of glitches at release with most NEVER being fixed.

My drivers keep crashing on the PC version. It's currently unplayable on PC for me due to that.

Using the GeForce 344.75 drivers.

Try this - it fixed the crashing for me:

#5 – Dragon Age Inquisition DirectX Crashes Fix
If your game is randomly crashing to desktop with DirectX related errors, you must download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.

Downloading and installing the update should fix these random crashes.

Most of the glitches I've encountered in the PC version are amusing, with a few that are somewhat irritating.  Nothing game-breaking so far.

I had one area in the Hinterlands that completely lost sound during combat (PS4), but haven't had anything major.

I've been having fun with jumping right in front of NPCs I can initiate dialogue with (talk and jump are the same button), so I can enjoy dat climb animation through the whole conversation.  :P

BioWare has created a pretty solid experience, and I have yet to run into any big issues at all while playing through the game. (17 hours in, PS4 version)  Granted, a lot fo that time has been wandering around the landscape and doing side quests but, in my experience, that is normally the time when little bugs become big issues - such as getting trapped in some poorly designed area, falling through the world (or sinking into it), or breaking a quest because I did something that altered the natural order of the game.

It does seem like the majority of issues being reported are from PC users, and to that I cannot comment.  But, that seems to be largely circumstantial depending on the requirements each user has before starting the game.

I've played for 30 hours on the PC and only encountered minor glitches. One side quest wouldn't advance until I set it as active, and Grappling Hook didn't work until I upgraded it. Someone's arm animation went wonky in the middle of a cutscene and majorly clipped through their head, which was kind of hilarious.

Overall, I really love the game so far.

Approx. 30 hours in on PS3. The game has froze while auto saving several times which requires a restart - however, after the first time I just make sure I manually save often, so it doesn't bother me much when it happens. I've also encountered some other minor glitches along the way - conversation issues, sound issues, some lag and that kind of thing. That being said, I can't wait to come home from school tonight and play some more. I know that I'll be playing this game all the way through a lot more than once, so whatever I miss because of bugs I'll get to see another time, on another play through.

Bugs I've encountered so far:
Minor - The game will pause for a second before resuming (Not in-game pause, I guess "freeze" is a better term)

Major - Running oom while channeling Blizzard will end the blizzard, but the spell's icon remains red (For deactivation) yet you cannot de-activate it. Mana regenerates fine, but you cannot use the ability until the issues resolves itself 10 minutes later. In other words, don't go oom using Blizzard. De-activate manually before then.

Major - All hair becomes plastic/metallic. Black hair looks like shiny and grey, everyother hair colour is shiny and solid looking as plastic. Really, really, really bad. pls halp Edit: Put Mesh quality to Ultra... that seemed to fix it. yay

Minor - I forget what the armor was called, but equipping it on my Qunari warrior had no "real" appearance. I wore the default clothes option while I had it equipped, as if it wasn't intended for a Qunari.

Minor - During cutscenes, sometims people won't move. I just spoke to "M", she wasn't in the camera shot but she was still speaking.

Moderate - Same as the other bug, except worse; Companions were stuck in that default "model" pose, you know where their limbs are stretched out like the Vitruvian man or something. Not only that, but they stayed like that after the cutscene ended: floating around. Attacking caused their arms to twitch, it was hilarious for about 10 seconds... I had to reload a save.

Glitches, yes. Bugs, yes. Bethesda/Obsidian level, not even remotely close. Apart from one or two biggies (the mismatched gender issue comes to mind), I have only encountered minor ones.

High should do. Works for me.

The only glitch I experienced so far are companions and advisors not being in "their place" in your stronghold. Zoning / reloading fixes that.

Bethesda is a completely different league when it comes to bugs.

That has been my experience as well, actually Inquisition falls under probably one of the games released within the last couple of years that I have bought that has been the most bug/glitch free which is impressive to me considering I am pretty certain I would have finished all those other games in less time then what I have in Inquisition.

I still have my Skyrim coaster somewhere around here, lets see if I can find it.

Edit:

Bethesda is known for their bugs, I can't see how anyone would compare Inquisition to Skyrim or Fallout: New Vegas considering the amount of bugs that actually prevented gameplay at the very start of the game at launch.  Skyrim was nearly unplayable for the majority of PS3 players and had major issues on both the PC and 360 and Fallout: New Vegas for the first couple of days you couldn't overwrite a save file because it wouldn't actually overwrite the file so each time you saved it had to be a completely new save file.

I've experienced many ofnthe same bugs as others. Nothing major.

Although when I reached Sky Hold my voice changed. Instead of American it was European. I don't mind it, in fact I like the voice! But this may be an issue with others.

It still sounds like it's probably best to wait a bit before buying this.

In my 14 hours of play time so far I've only had one crash, and aside from a few odd spawn points of my horse (some look really uncomfortable...) it's been all perfectly smooth.

On PS4 I've had no issues worth mentioning. A few bugs here and there but nothing that has forced me to reload.

Sounds like you've got the "Custom Hawke" bug.

People are reporting that using custom Hawke instead of using her default appearance changes their Inquisitor's voice to the other voice option.

My whole romance scene bugged the f out, missing dialogue, long weird pauses between dialogue. Ridiculous.

Yes the game is full of stuff like this.
