You know love there is site called "RedTube" and thing called "Real Life" for all your sexual desires and needs ;)

Wait almost forgot...you have plenty of hentai games as well so pick one you like and trust me women in all hentai games are exaggerated(huge b@@bs,big butts, sexy clothes and etc.)because if "who can I bang in game" is your only problem and concern then RPG games ain't your thing...hentai games are.

It's not right to call for a thread to be locked because you disagree with it.

It's not about my disagreeing with the sentiment. I realize not every thread has to agree with me. It's the mode of expressing it.

To go from, "I'm really not feeling this character's appearance and personality" to "This character's appearance and personality is so irrefutably unappealing that it must be a sign that that Bioware is a heteronormative, anti-woman, anti-lesbian, hypocrisy machine is an irresponsible way to express those feelings.

Now we have a whole thread based off of that particular mode of expressing it. Good for us.

You know what's actually terrible? You don't get a mabari. What a horrible game, 0/10, Bioware has gone too far.

THESE THREADS NEED TO STOP.

You not liking the options does not equal "the options are terrible on an objective level", and it for sure isn't a reason to call out Bioware for "hatred" toward women.

This thread should be locked.

This is absolutely 100% true. There is a major difference between the two. One is subjective. I like Sera's personality, and I also like Cassandra's personality. Will be playing a female elf 2h Champion warrior romancing Sera, but still. I personally would be glad to simply be her best friend, as I am a straight male.

I'm very disappointed with the lesbian romance options in this game. You have either Joffrey from Game of Thrones or a boring politician with the personality of a wet mop.  Is this what Bioware thinks of lesbians? They're ugly and butch or if they're pretty they have no personality. I thought Bioware prided itself on equality instead of the cliche lesbian tropes that we're offered.

And while we're on the subject of women, why are all the women dressed like they're ready for a convent.  There's nothing wrong with a strong beautiful woman who's not afraid to show she's also sexy. There is definitely a strong gender bias, misrepresentation and hatred towards women in this game, lesbians especially. I expected better from a company that claims to care about equality.

Careful... The feminists will have your head if you want lady characters to show too much skin... or too little skin.. or landing a probe in an asteroid comet and dressing up in a shirt thats full of women..

argh, you know what?? I dunno whats with the gender equality blah blah these days, just play the game and ask modders to make a nude mod. LOL!!

Romance is a huge factor in Bioware games and a big selling point.

I have to agree as far back as the Boo and Minsc romance or the hardcore skull-f'king of Planescape. Yeah. Those were edgy barrier-breaking Bioware days. Now Bioware is just a shell of its former self. sad. [sniffle. sob]  Where is my role-playing going....

I will never understand why people think it's a game designer's job to fulfill their sexual desires.

I am not prejudiced. It doesn't have to be a game designer. I just wish someone would....

oh my dear god, is there really 5-pages on this?

Wait. Are you the same people worried about Qunari hair?

This is a game, an artefact of entertainment representative of its societal time/age; not a manifesto or sensitivity training. I am more upset about the UI failure for PC Kb+M players. But I realise now that this stems from my understanding that this is a game and is supposed to be a game and none of it is real or meant to be real.

Except dragons. (They're real, I have known a few.) I just wish they would be dealt with with more sensitivity and realistically depicted, you know. Why are they always the cliched villians? And where are their romance options? Is this game not entitled Dragon Age?

I want my Qunari liberty spikes.

Do not judge me. Obviously my desires ought to be catered to, no matter how ridiculous. I will make a dozen threads until they hear me.

Hair: Bioware have never really nailed this one. Qunari do need better hair options.

(Though I almost gave human female inquisitor the mullet with the slightly receding hairline look cause it was very funny.)

I need to check my privilege before speaking but I think the options are great.

I like that they are a bit different and not classically stunning. None of them are unattractive but all have their flaws and imperfections. It's great. None of them appear to be tropes or cliches (well not due to their sexuality at least!).

At least they didn't go down the route of ME3, which femme'd up every female character and gave them a generous boob job (Ash - kick **** marine to fembot saving the world in a e-cup (plus), silky smooth hair and heels wasn't the worst thing done to the game, but in the top five!).

Re hair: yeah.

Re: ME3... well, we can debate for hours if it's worse to make *everyone* hot or *everyone* plain. I'd wish for choice more than anything... but back to ME3: I'd argue that what they did to Ash's personality did far more damage than any physical change they could, should, or might have done. That was a clear case (again, just speaking for myself) where a romance was killed because of non-physical aspects. She was still an ass-kicking marine and spectre though, why can't you kick ass and still look good? I'll never get that logic. (Granted, I did have a moment of WTF when I saw her for the first time in ME3 -- not because of how she looked, but because how different she looked. Didn't care much for the sort-a-high-heels and boobs, but I'll definitely say that I liked her hair better.)

True. It did just bug me that's all. I thought she looked good in ME and in her ME2 cameo. In the art book for the collectors edition they said they wanted her to have sex appeal. I didn't get it. It just seemed to mean - long hair, big boobs, heels = sex appeal.

It can but it doesn't have too!

Just look at Cass in DAI - I think she looks great!

But then again, Leliana does too (who is more designed to be more classically feminine (if still kick arse) and attractive).

This has nothing to do with having an "hive mind" or not. Men usually don't go around dissing games and the like for "making men look like objects". You obviously don't know too much about the Sarkaasian issue and the huge fuss it created. Go look it around and you will see why it is so damn idiotic and why feminists are insane.

As for women not knowing what they want, that's easily proven. If you ask a girl to give you advices on how to seduce another woman you will never be able to do it. They simply don't know what they want. A man usually know (maybe it's simpler for them, sure, but anyway the hints that women give to men for seduction are completely obnoxious).

Okay, so I'm not one of those weird SJW people or whatever, but I honestly don't understand how you can say something like that and think you're speaking objectively. Yeah, men don't go around dissing games for "making men look like objects" because largely it mostly happens to women. Can you really not see that? Don't take a radical stance on a social issue and apply it to the world at large, that's stupid.

How does gender make someone "know what they want or not"? Jesus Christ. I don't even know where to begin for that. If you have problems seducing someone, maybe you should realize that...gasp...it's your problem!

How about finding out if a girl likes you or not by actually asking them? Can't get any more clearer than that.

No, romance is not a huge factor, and if that were ever true, I would weep for the future of gaming.  It is a fun side plot at the most.  People buy the game for the actual game itself.  If DA:I,s combat was terrible, or the voice acting was bland and monotonous, or the skill progression was boring, or if there were a lot of game breaking bugs, or if the game world was just plain ugly and boring to explore...those would detract sales.

Taking the romance options out of the game would affect sales so minutely, that they wouldn't even notice.  Anyone, and I mean anyone, who buys a freaking game so that they can romanticly pursue one of these characters, rather than as something to do to pass the time when not killing dragons, needs to get a life.  Seriously.

I hate saying something so harsh, but it's true.

I agree and disagree

Obviously everone plays games for different reasons, gameplay, progression,

However you have to factor that many players factor in Role playing into their experience. Bioware Games (Dragon age especially) is one of the best games where you can role play a character a certain way and the game actually gives you the tools to do so.

An example, i want to play a Dalish Elf who, loves the Dalish and wants to see a postive future in the dalish. Through dialogue.. i can do that. Romances add the emersion to be part of the world, though they are optional. Would there be little backlash from no romances? Hard to say, i feel the community is huge on them. I feel Dragon age would lose a part of what makes Dragon age.. well Dragon age.

An example

Skyrim is like a blank Canvas, youre given the paint to draw, however whoever you want paint the image is all in your imagination.

You define how you want to replay through imagination and elements not programed into the game. You want to be a Azura worshipper? You have to define that yourself by adapting and/or restricting your own gameplay. You want to be a High elf that hates Nords? You have to actively have to "kill" the nords or whatever.

Dragon age (and its previous games) are like a set of pictures that are already defined but YOU have to do the colouring between the black lines. After you colour the first image the way you want, you receive a second picture (which changes based on how your first picture was colored), you paint it the way you want, then the cycle continues.

to put simply

Dragon Age is a Role Playing that is focused on defining your character.

Skyrim is a playground where you have to use your imagination to get the most of of the role playing experience.

Be right back.  Getting more popcorn.

Some one bring back the "you can't get laid in real life" comments.  Those are freakin' hi`larious!

====

FWIW

Ask about her.

Ask follow up questions

Compliment her style (her choices), not her looks (genetics)

Never say anything negative!

Be confident in yourself

And be sincere.  Sincerity is key; once you can fake that you're golden.  -- It may be a joke, but I'm serious. fake it till you make.  Act like a confident woman (or man) with a positive attitude until you are.

And finally, the key point is: Seducing people is easy.  Seducing a specific person is never in anyone's best interest.

========

I really tried not to like her because of how she roughed up my favorite DA2 companion but I still want to ride a horse behind Cassandra

Sera apparently isnt a fan of humand a dwarves, (so its harder) Elves are easier unless you act "elfy" (shucks) and Quanari apparently her perefrence
