So many have brought this up, most in a jokingly way. And even more don't care. But there is some that really seems to take offence. I wonder, have they ever thought that hey, maybe this is a bit like being a female player, that are so incredibly bored with the gaming worlds obsession with male leads.
Reminds me of Saints Row 3 and in a few cases even if you choose to play as female some npcs took you for a dude. I even brought it up once and was quickly shot down, I mean how dare I? Children in poor counties are starving, and here I am whining about some gender mismatch. Oh, I also should know that gender does not really matter, unless this happens to dudes of course.
Nobody said anything about having an issue with playing a female. The issue is a male character being referred to as female.
When I read your comment I couldn't help but laugh. Take advantage of this and romance Sera or Culllen. JK I accidentally flirted with Cullen with my Qunari male because I didn't see that it was a flirt options since I pressed the number key. His awkward response was priceless.
You can flirt with everyone it doesn't matter if you can romance them or no.

You in a cave? ![]()
It was a joke, man. Everyone else seemed to understand that. You can settle down. Really now.
Remember when sarcasm was done properly? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Sounds more like you're backpedaling to me, but that's none of my business...
I'm playing with the gender bug now. I have no plans to start over.
If I get to romance the wrong people, I'll let BSN know.

Tbh the OP was clearly sarcasm and everyone else seemed to have got it, so instead of blaming him maybe just accept that you interpreted it wrong.
This has nothing to do with BW "pandering" to anyone. BW has had male/female options for a long time. This is just a bug, albeit a very annoying one.

Nah, you just didn't understand the sarcasm.
Seriously, why does it happen to everyone but not to me? I want to romance Cullen. ![]()

Nope, it's definitely a case of you not bothering to properly read a topic before attempting to respond to it! If you read the second paragraph in my opening post, it's quite clear that I acknowledge this situation as being a bug in the game and not intentional design. Well, you failed to save face this time, but don't let that get you down, slugger! There's always next season!
That is obviously a bug, but I still can't figure out if Iron Bull's lieutennant is supposed to be a man or a woman.

Reading is a skill. So why bother when I can assign opinions to people?
On a side note, we've seen Bioware's pandering before so it it's not out of the question, really.
Just to be clear: people are having success preventing this bug by switching between the male and female options at the character selection cards, then selecting their desired gender.
Aye, that usually works. Note that you'll be addressed by gender near the start of the game (the interrogation scene), good way to make sure you're character's not bugged before you go any further.
