Ok good things first; I love the game, the story, the environments, most of the characters, but why oh why did they had to mess with the tactics and behavior systems? It was good in DAO and DA2, It can't be because of the console players, those would benifit from it evem more.

Another bug I haven't seen on the list yet, when hail of arrows is active my character disappears into the terrain if I use the jumping shot skill. She jumps backwards and disappears. If I'm not in tactical view I get a dizzying picture of things tumbling in and out of view like it's all in first person. Switching to another character let's me finish the fight and then my character reappears shortly after, but she's gone for the remainder of the fight. It has occurred when standing in open areas as well as next to an obstacle she couldn't jump over or onto, but it's not a consistent bug so I haven't figured out what else is going on that's triggering it. Some play sessions it doesn't happen at all, others it happens every time which discourages me from using the hail of arrows skill.

Has the tactical cam Revive bug (ability just fizzes out) been mentioned?  Works most of the time...but sometimes, nope just fizzes.

 

Also Fortifying Blast does some wonky stuff with the Barriers... also creates a blue mist around the character that doesn't go away (weird).

 

Sound bug seems to be getting better the further I get in... only happens every couple hours now (the one where hitting L1 fixes it).

 

Sometimes respeccing at Harrit's in Haven causes a full game freeze too; requiring a ctrl-alt-del closing of session.

 

 

That's all I got for now.. thanks Bioware for tidying up the Thedas dust - looking forward to the patch bros!

It adds an extra SLOT, meaning you can equip three types of alchemical products instead of 2. It doesn't increase the number of flasks of each type you can carry.

 

I was wondering how to unlock that 3rd spot, thanks!

K.... I read through *most* of *bug* list and something frightened me as soon as i hit the first-line.

 

Many of gamers and the like are using the powerful term, "Bug" too loosely. (I'm not going to post some silly text-book definition since anyone could wiki or webster-dict), but i want to caution against many of the replies/posters that most of the complaints are not bugs, but in actuality they are feedback suggestions/requests for change.

- 30 fps cut scenes need to be uncapped

 

For example, this first item above, is NOT a bug. It was intended (luckily bioware openly explained why this was done,) sometimes devs don't bother offering a suggestion, lol.

 

I think you should separate some of those items out (Bug list / Suggestion List) ...

 

For example the game-breaking bugs, from the sounds of them, sound like actual unintended software hiccups.

In any event, carry-on, folks, as I'd like to see the majority, if not all of these request(s) and bugs, hopefully tended to in future upcoming patches.

On my rig the game runs smoothe as butter . . . At720. Love the game. Looking forward to finding everything. Love the exploration and the big fights. I wish the tac cam coul fly rather than being locked to the ground. I would just love to have MORE camera control. I also wish commands held when switching between tac cam and action . .. althou the only reason i switch in battle is to look up. See the first point. I'd also love to be avle to walk. Shift toggle would be fine, same as the horse. Otherwise ive found a lottle remapping goes a long way. Oh, loot radius and walk to loot if pathable within a few feet would be cool. Again, cool game, looking forward to meeting new characters i can actually put in my party! Oh, also, stealth in tac mode . . . Has that been fixed yet?

"- After cut scene post-character creation, glitch in which character is stuck in cutscene scenario"
Not sure if this is only detailing the immediate cutscene following character creation, but if not, it routinely happens in at least one other place. It's happened consistently to me and another person I know who's gotten that far. The conversation wheel doesn't appear, and the rest of the UI shows up mid-cutscene but is un-interactable. Kinda spoiler-y, so I'm changing the color to match the background(because I don't think there's a spoiler option here?). It's the cutscene directly following jumping through the portal to talk to Alexius(as he drops to his knees due to his failure to erase the PC), during the 'In Hushed Whispers' quest. It's incredibly frustrating to not be able to continue the quest. I've been told mashing space (skip cutscene) before the conversation wheel is supposed to show up fixes it, hasn't yet for me though.

 

And as the thread is pretty long, I'm not gonna look at all of the rest of the pages, but I'll try to address a few of the issues OP has.

 

- Loading times are tremendously long

- Game freezing in main menu for some players

- Tactical cam is too zoomed in and controls are flunky
- Ability to re-bind controls to mouse buttons, both left/right as well as additional 4th, 5th, scroll buttons, etc.

- 30 fps cut scenes need to be uncapped

- Sometimes entering online matches causes character to lose all talents on bar (an exit and rejoin fixes this)

All of these are all issues I've had, especially the camera for the Tactical Mode, it's just far too zoomed in and there's not really a good angle you can get for it.

- Sometimes dialogue glitches and you can't select it with your mouse, only numbers

For this, try right clicking. Should fix it. Same for the War Table.

 

- One rift in hinterlands has level 12 mobs spawning (is that normal?)

There's a couple of those, actually. And another whole area in the Hinterlands that's level 12, pretty sure that's how it's supposed to be.

 

- Bron in hinterlands not recognizing quest is done

I thought I had this, but then I realized that you have to complete a task in the War Table to finish his quest. Might try that if you haven't yet.

A few things that has happened to me on the PC!

 

1: I got the DirectX Mantle error screen popup and the game crashed……..  :(

 

Mantle function

"grWsiWinReleaseFullscreenOwnership(displayHandle)" failed with GR_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST. GPU: "AMD Radeon R9 200 Series" (26544) Driver 188743680

 

Is the error I got, two copies of it, probably for both GPU's!  :(

 

2: I’m not so sure if it’s the game, the drivers or my card/s that’s bad or to hot that makes this happen, does anyone know?

3: So I have this little bug, of one off my advisors are missing, Josephine. Her status says busy, but her card aren’t anywhere on the table and it’s soon been 15 hours since I sent her on a mission.

 

Anyone else had this problem? And how do I fix it? The save game since then does not exist anymore and I think it was the Iron bull mission with the dreadnoughts that was the point when she disappeared. I think she was looking into some agents.

I play the PC version so I tried to repair the game trough Origin, figured something went wrong after their servers had problems two days back, still didn’t help!

I've been getting a bug similar to AShadyCharacter (post #361), where initiating a conversation with someone doesn't bring up the dialogue wheel.  They start talking, but I can't interact, and can't begin/complete quests with them.  It looks like restarting the game might solve it, but it's annoying.

  • When running the sound dont follow your character foot step and we ear horse foot step instead. Only Happens after you unlock the horse mount and mount him at least once.
  • At Winterwatch Tower, during the cinemtic, when you visit it the first time, sometime a NPC fly and pass through the closed gate in mid-air in a ridiculous high speed. Happened 3 out of 5.
  • During the fight against the Dragon in the Hinterlands, you can hide behind a rock on the Cliff behind the Dragon original spawn and attack him with Ranged Projectile. The Dragon wont move and only shoot fireball, those fireball will explose on the rock in front of you and it wont do any damage to you. Even the minions he spawn wont come after you, they stay idle in the middle of the field. Didn't try this against other Dragon, im not high level enough.

 

All i found so Far. I didnt List the Crash/Freezing/etc...

Why you can't choose the pathing you want a member to take when moving with the Tactical mode, or their facing after the movement is beyond me. I simply can not comprehend it.

 

 

So during combat my members will randomly choose to take a 3 kilometre walk around to the destination, or simply step through the pool of acid/flames/death in the way because that's trendy. And my tank can't reposition because then she'll be tanking with her back, unless I make her move back and forth annoyingly and through a great deal of unnecessary tedium to sometimes get her to face where I want her to before she gets violated or the whole party has already been turned into pin cushions or incinerated with fireballs because, you know, the person with the huge shield their lives depended on needed 3 million years to just make a 90 degree turn.

 

 

 

Even X-Com 30 years ago got that right.

 

 

 

Sorry if it sounds like I'm frustrated. Probably it is because I am.

Control Scheme Bug:

 

Was using the keyboard/mouse to move around and couldn't use walk for immersion, so I tried an analogue PC controller (not XBOne controller, but with a similar configuration). I activated controller use as my control scheme, and the controller is not recognized, so I couldn't do anything such as navigating the menu. Restarted the game, still nothing. Reinstalled the controller drivers, also nothing. Not so upset about the controller not working, however now I can't switch back to keyboard/mouse because the controller isn't recognized. The game also does not default back to keyboard/mouse if the controller is unplugged and the game restarted. I get to "press start" at the main screen, and can't do anything. I'll probably have to try a reinstall, since the config files come up as gibberish with text editors.

 

Point form:

 

- Changing control scheme to game controller instead of keyboard and mouse locks out all controls if the game does not recognize the controller, or if there is no controller present.

 

Request:

- Walk toggle

  • Currently (some people, includeing myself) cannot equip certian items that they 'should' be able to equip.  I.E My (Mage) Dalish Elf Inquisitor cannot equip a Keeper Robe. Nor can she wear the Warrior version when the restriction for class is removed.
  • I tried to repair my game from Origin, with no luck. I know when i was in exalted plains, and got the Keeper Robe from one of the quests, and the one at the store in the dalish encampment, it lists the requirement 'Elf Trained Only' red. I thought 'odd' and never thought past it. Now that i can make the robe, i cannot wear it.

Playing DA: I on PC.


Maybe some of the flags determining characters race/class are not fully set.

 

I would clearly love to be able to wear Keeper armor without having to reset a 100 hour playthrough.

Constant tweaky running and scattering/strafing by party members while the controlled character is not doing these things. Hard to describe but it kind of looks like the way herds of animals scatter when a plane flies over them. It is bothersome immersion wise especially with the sound of sudden scattering footsteps alerting me as if something is going on nearby that might require my attention.

 

More troublesome is the fact that it also causes them to collide with the controlled character, resulting in a nudge that causes the controlled character to move a few steps which can knock the controlled character off of a ledge. Note: mounts also do this tweaky scattering when summoned and have to be chased to highlight the mount button.

 

I like that it is realistic to have some one get nudged when another character runs into them but not realistic to have party members constantly scattering and strafing from a walking or standing position when not directed to.

 

Party members getting stuck behind obstructed entrances in dungeons and indoor or enclosed battle areas. Because they can see through the entrance but not go through it and it happens to be at a shorter distance to the enemy, they will gather there instead of entering the area to fight with the controlled character. This makes it impossible to get the whole party in the same room for a battle, leaving the controlled character to fight alone. Mouse draw lasso to select all characters DA:2 style and also point click to run would help but it is an AI routing bug that we should not have to have tools to correct.

 

 

- Wider sonar range for loot.

- Option to disable or change loot/select sonar sound.

 

- Choices of what loot/select to highlight: example: loot of enemies vs craft supplies or quest points or doors or items. I often think I have loot to find when it is simply the sonar highlighting the Requisition's table in camp or a door nearby.

 

- Adjustable loot/select highlight color/brightness

 

- DA:2 style auto-loot/select highlight option that negates constant need for pressing of loot button every few steps. It would be nice if we had a choice to turn it on or off and make it possible to sustain the highlight if we choose to.

 

- Click to loot or auto loot/select: we shouldn't have to be right on top of loot and need to angle the camera just to highlight loot button.

 

- Looting and exploring should be convenient to do at the same time but it is tedious having to walk in tiny increments in order to avoid missing a loot point that is outside of sonar range.

 

- Mouse run/walk toggle options, It should be as easy to walk slowly or walk in general with a mouse as it is with controller.

 

- Mouse controlled run: It is amazing to see how life-like the controller walk/climb/ butt slide to descend inclines options are and I wish we had this flexibility for mouse/kb.

 

- Click to run/move.

 

- Remappable mouse functions and of the mouse wheel.

 

- Need farther zoom in and out generally but especially in tactical.

 

- Would like it if Kb/mouse not disabled while controller is in use and vice verse.

As you can even see on your own screenshots, those ARE hats, not hair. 

That's a shortcut they took. Added a white cap under the hat to cover everything up. Lazy work, not a bug at all though.

New bug to add if not added already:

 

My friend's Inquisitor, American Voice -  Human Male, changed to a British voice when he tried to customize Hawke.

The game crashed when he selected default Hawke.

 

FIX. THIS. GAME.
