Am I the only one getting my companions to teleport DURING combats sometimes. It's very, very annoying...


Similarly I've maneuvered characters up onto rocks and upon switching to tac cam they rubberband back to the ground. If it's that, then yea. It has to do with the navmesh. The pathing doesnt handle jumps well and may not register the tops of certain objects as a part of the navmesh. So when switching to tac cam, it teleports the character to the nearest point on the nav mesh. It sucks.

I suppose it would take a more complete nav mesh and better code to handle pathong with jumps( which could be disasterous or awesome). Otherwise locking the character in position off mesh while not in direct control would keep that archer up there and sniping . . . Maybe. Another suggestion was just a text flag "path not found". What the devs are.gonna do? Who knows. You're not alone and best of luck to ya.

The messenger with a female voice I saw as well. Considering that each character's lines are probably spoken into a mic, I assumed this was intentional--can't imagine a bug if the lines were correct. When you see him again later he talks in the same voice.


Yep. My question was answered in the next scene. Not all female armor has boobies and shapely hips! Wow, how historically accurate. I accept her androgyny.

Ah! Yea! Same thing happens with the charge attack for warriors. Cas will run half way across the map, hulk smash, then pop back to her origional position. Yea. That ALSO sucks. Buggy.

EXACTLY ! 

 

This is truly ruining immersion when this game has the potential and the qualities to be a ****** monument in its kind... 

 

Along the same issues, sometimes enemies beat a retreat and then disapear while my group follows them.

Armour texture glitch

 

  • Missing texture skin for Superior Vanguard Armor arms. There are two straps on each arm that are white as though there is a texture missing

Adding more detail to the minimap would be a bad idea, assuming "minimap" is that compass thing they've got in the corner. Add enough detail to that, and you'll have people simply stare at that as they trek toward objectives rather than having them keep their eye on the actual terrain. Ruins all the effort they put into desgining the world.

 

Here are the bugs I've encountered so far:

Combat:
- Barrier fails to cast... I haven't noticed this with other AOE abilities.

- If you go oom while channeling Blizzard, the spell shuts down (good) but the toggle-button doesn't revert, meaning you can't use it again until it somehow fixes itself minutes later.

- Ice Wall creates an invisible wall if you shatter it (With Shield Bash, for example) for the controlled character only. Companions walk through it fine, but you manually cannot until the wall dissipates. I have not seen if this affects move orders in Tac Cam.

- Companions occasionally "trip" and take random fall damage, despite not traversing uneven terrain or the controlled character walking across uneven terrain. It happened in a smooth desert once.

 

Dialogue

- I once encountered a hilarious bug where all my companions were fighting with the default model pose (like the Vitruvius man or whatever) it was great. Had to re-load.

- Rather often mousing over an option does not highlight it and you have to use numbers to choose. That's fine I guess, except you can't read the Consequence messages easily.

 

General

- You cannot click on things in the war room, and must rely on the keyboard to select and cancel things.

- Same issue as above, except it applies to the World Map.

- Same issue as above, except it applies to perks. I dunno.

- The game pauses (Although sounds continue) for a second occasionally while in Skyhold or Haven.

- The game occasionally crashes, although I haven't experienced this recently.

- Companions/advisors occasionally disappear from the designated spot, even though they SHOULD be there. Mini-map shows they're "there", and once I even reloaded a save and Cassandra was gone, even though she wasn't before I loaded.

- Elven men are freakishly skinny in their default clothes, so skinny their arms actually shrink. Compare their arms while clothed to while wearing armor that shows their arm; Very different. Please, give them protein shakes and push-ups.

Alright I finally understand, the bug I have when you equip the Deluxe Edition dragon armor and enter the war table everything is fine but after you equip another armor and re-enter the war table you appear as you have no armor equip and this also applies when you are in skyhold.

I hope they do alot of bug squashing besides just framerate and controls. The game is really nice, but im noticing more bugs in my elfs playthrough. Should i call her an elf? Because appearently she is a Human. Clearly some coding issues there. Character Selection (In Load) lists her card as dalish. She is dalish, shes talked to as dalish. Besides two audio tracks going at the same time, shes 'Human trained only'.

I wonder if bioware is acctually looking at all the feedback and bugs we are showing?

i dunno if it was pointed, but some skill/passive don't work or aren't working as noted in the description.

 

- in rogue two of the most important passive simply don't work at intended.

  - "Looked Like it Hurt" it say that whenever you land a critical hit you regenerate 10 stamina, it simply don't work on skill.(meaning if you kill by skill it don't count at all)

  - "Dance of Death" it say that you regain 50 stamina with each kill, don't work on the skill (meaning if you kill by skill it don't count at all), more bad, if you kill by doing a combo of skill (like shatter) it will not be counted like you have kill it.

 

this 2 passive are the one important for regain stamina and chain kill monster, but like they work for now, they only proc on normal attack, skill are often not counted or act weird.

 

-  "Deathblow" when the second blow proc, he drain another 50 stamina, like said before he don't proc the 2 passive, leaving you with 0 stamina for continue to attack.

 

they are hurting a lot the rogue Dual Dagger gameplay, the most sad, it's the rogue in the multiplayer seems to not have this sort of trouble.

I'd like to add some bugs to the pile: 

 

Morrigan thinks my Warden was a guy who loved her, while my Warden actually was a woman who stabbed her and threw her into the Eluvian. The rest of references to my Warden seems to be okay (they refer to her as a woman). 
Sera "Verchiel march" quest - the noble needed for solving the quest was nowhere to be seen. I eventually solved this by taking only Sera for this mission and not an entire party.

The Mythal rituals couldn't be completed - one of them simply fail to "activate" even though all the tiles were glowing.

General glitchiness when it comes to mouse controls - often in war room the mouse wouldn't react at all, same thing happened a lot with the dialog wheel. 

Don't know if it's a bug (or a feature/ommission) but when using Fire flask ability as a Tempest Rogue, you can spam Rift Marks because your focus is not cancelled. Fun times :D

I don't know if anyone has encountered these bugs.

 

1 - Sometimes you can no longer switch to your companions, whether in tac-cam or regular play, you click on their portrait and nothing happens you stay on the pc. I thought this might be a zonal thing at first, As in some zones might lock out swapping between characters so I reloaded a save with this issue, lo and behold I can swap again so it is just a bug.

 

2 - Also sometimes, you cannot activate a skill even though it is not greyed out, it is off cooldown and you have enough mana/stamina available. Not sure what causes this yet.

 

3 - After using charging bull or fade step, your character no longer responds to input, as in no attacking when you click to attack and not movement when you press the button for movement, to get out of this state you need to jump then suddenly the characters brain switches back on and you can proceed as usual.

 

Bugs number 1 & 2 just cost me a fade rift, so thanks for the fun times Bioware.

Just wabt to say, basalt columns are real . . . And that's really cool. Love the art direction (98%) now just give us those final 10000 touches and we will be satisfied enough to just beg for mods

I have two more problems to add to this list that I forgot to mention in my earlier post on this thread.

 

I do not have the friendly fire box checked, but my Inquisitor and all other party members are still affected by my mages spells, such as catching on fire, freezing, getting slowed in proximity to a frozen enemy, being blown off our feet in a blizzard, etc. This should not be happening. I have tried to switch friendly fire on and see the exact same things happening.

 

Second and more importantly, it wasn't quite as noticeable in the early portions of the game since I rarely ever took control of my companions, but the further I get, the more times I've given them specific orders, which they completely ignore. Not once can I recall giving any of them an order that they have followed, unless I maintain control of them until after I have un-paused. This means I can never give an order to anyone other than the one I happen to be controlling, whether it's the Inquisitor or a companion.

OH and I've gotten the "Betting on the inquisitor" party banter with Varric and Dorian no less than 12 times today.

General
- You cannot click on things in the war room, and must rely on the keyboard to select and cancel things.

A work around for these is if you ALT TAB out and go back to the game again they work :blink:

I've just encountered a very upsetting repeatable crash.  Apologies if anyone has mentioned this already but I have tried fighting the dragon in the Exalted Plains around 10 times now.  Every single time, the game will crash mid-fight.  Not entirely sure what is causing this as no where else in the game have I crashed during a fight before.

South of the hessarian camp there are some dudes standing around a 2 wheeled cart with a dead chick on it. Weierdly, the cart is nose up to the sky and the corpse is balanced on the end. Total glitch. Looks silly. 1 of 1000000000 little things to be fixed way later.

This one happened to me while controlling Solas (my PC an elf rogue)... I thought that the trigger could be the regeneration potion (I had an active one in those circumstances), but it was happening while looting the stuff around though... BTW, anyone has noticed that the extra grenades/potions belt "don't work" mission after mission?, It always goes back to 3 units, although I got it full. (4/5).
 
I've checked that if you add the line to uncap the cinematics framerate (-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+), when starting a new game, and after having created your PC in the CC, you may appear in an empty scenario of the veil.
 
In Therinfal-redoubt, in the last battle (envy demon), most times some characters look like statues (no animations).

Edit: Just out of curiosity I've removed the uncap framerate line and, having reloaded (many times) the Therinfal battle, no more statues. This line (or the cinematics cap) and the mouse losing its focus on the game seem as my main issues atm.

...It happens the other way around too. My female elf's voice changed from American to British.

Here's another one that may or may not already be on the list, the PC version:

 

Party members disappear from Skyhold; they're not where the map says they should be and are nowhere else in the keep. They're just completely absent. If you save and reload while the Inquisitor is standing in *direct line of sight* of where they should be, they appear after the reloading..

It's easier to just leave the room and return. That usually loads the characters for me.

LOL, so I wasn't the only one. That was hilarious but immersion breaking. I couldn't take the game seriously for a while after this.

No version for Mac. :-(((

 

This in conjunction with Windows7 32 bit version not being supported - the game just does not install even if underlying HW is sufficient. I think Win7 is such a recent OS that all versions of it should be considered per default. Patch this please!

 

Also, bit peripheral, maybe, but I do find it feels cheap that there is no printed manual, for a game that fetches ~40 UK sterling.

 

Cannot delve deeper for now, as the thing will not run, and I abhor the thought of messing with my Win7 partition just for this.

In the Emprise du Lions map, the first cave/dungeon entrance about a third of the way through. I think it's the first entrance in the map you come across. There is a wall on the right with no material/texture. It's pure black.  You don't see it going in, but you do see it on the way out.

When giants fight other enemies, like rage demons or broncos (specifically in the Emerald Graves map), they get thrown really high in the air. But their bodies don't react to this movement, they keep their standing stance and bounce up into the air and sometimes get bounced quite far from the engagement. It looks quite silly - like if a child were playing with toy figurines and bouncing them up and down on the carpet with his hand to simulate "battle".

It has happened once in combat with my own character. I killed the giant and it bounced high into the air, and landed several dozens of feet away, where is promptly turned into a tiny bag of loot.
