There are really way to much bugs for an AAA title launch these times. Video games industry should slow down for a sec, just to fix this ****...

A few things I've noticed:

1) Crafting appears to be broken. Mods for weapons will fail to show up in the list as being available for the weapon, even when you craft them at the same tier using the same materials.

IE: Tier 2 dagger made with all T2 materials, I cannot attach any grips at all, even T2 specific grips made with T2 materials. In this case I crafted a sacrificial dagger, a balanced dual-blade grip, and a firm dual blade grip. Neither of those grips was available for me to use on the dagger. All are T2 schematics, and all were made exclusively with T2 materials.

2) Conversation wheel frequently stays greyed out for as much as 10 seconds before it can be interacted with. In some cases I've had the conversation time out and the NPC continue the dialogue because I was unable to select anything with either the mouse or the keyboard.

3) The quest journal is not keyboard/mouse friendly at all. Trying to open up the individual 'regions' to see what quests are available is extremely klunky and frustrating. More often than not, a completely different set of quests will open, and one of those will automatically select itself as the active quest. Trying to open more than one generally causes the game to lock up completely requiring me to kill it via the task manager.

4) Longsword of the Dragon is listed in the schematics as a Tier 2 axe instead of a sword.

5) Calling mounts always spawns the mount some distance behind the character, rather than in front, even when there is plenty of free space available in front.

6) None of the 'of the Dragon' (Flames of the Inquisition) armor can be modded. Seems a waste to give us this as a 'reward' for having pre-ordered the game, only to make them completely useless by gimping them so they're not even comparable to other gear at the same tier.

7) Character cannot be rotated in the armor crafting UI.

8) 'Hat of the Inquisitor' changes character's hair color to bright white when equipped.

I really am not sure, but are dagger handles seperate from other oner handed weapons? Its conceivable, since 2-handed grips are seperate. Dagger handles may be classed as too small for yer maces and swords and vice versa sword handles too big for daggers.

It has not crashed on me yet, but i do find the arrows to be kinda crap to click on. Same with the character screens in the top right, its a toss up if ill actually go one way or the other. On the journal screen, however, i bumbled with that for a bit and found it sooooo unwieldy that i haven't used it since. And that's sad.

And i can't tell you how many times I've tried to rotate my character in the inventory screens.

I also dont entirely understand the armor restrictions system. Why can ONLY mages wear light armor. That's nonsense. Why are warriors stuck wearing heavy? I guess i wouldnt be bothered by it if they didn't show models for it all in the crafting screen, but reasons. And why call it anything but what its restricted to. I.E. this is warrior armor and that's mage armor ( i know that's piddly butbothersome and will never be modified). Though I'd frankly like to put my mage in full plate. Thats probably why I'm miffed about it. Besides, the way their armor system works, there would be no upside for a warrior to put on light armor ( like higher dps, block%, and/or movement speed due to reduced encumbrance). Or is there? Idk, the stats are so opaque i dont know what's going on with them anyway.

On a note about prepurchase gear, that garbage really put a cramp in the game for me when i played DA2. Most of my characters used the same gear the whole game because it leveled with you. I'd find cool gear, compare it to my living gear, toss the new stuff . . . Every time. So i purposefully didn't get their awesome bonus pack stuff for fear it would be OP and game breaking. That's just me though.

May the devs soon bless us with a patch.

If you are using keyboard - just use A and D keys.

Silly me, i was trying to rotate the character like ya do in creation. I'll try that. Wait i have those mapped as straif buttons. Are you saying use the buttons mapped to rotate?
Cause i don't use those, i hold right mouse button to look and rotate.

That may be the rub. I'll try mapping those to some keys.

Edit: yep that was it.

And another thing, my damn Dragons' Bane Achievement wasn't awarded even though I completed it, the game even acknowledged that I did so but origin didn't award me the achievement.

Not a bug, but a suggestion for improvement:

The "Valuables" tab in the inventory needs to be renamed to something that better fits its use: a place for us to dump the stuff we intend to sell.

And on a related note, any requisition/research items should be placed in a separate tab, and NOT automatically placed in the same tab where we put all of our sell-able loot.

Non-main-character party members can't put down veilfire torches, so if you are not playing a mage you have to beat the dungeon with three characters

My bad, Brosif McBrodan. I was under the impression people were having CTD problems. I wished to juxtapose my game's stability of evidence that it is not an inherent flaw in the game, per se, but perhaps the game's optimization versus his hardware.

But since you have been elected to speak for everyone, I retire my contest.

I run the game with all settings at maximum with very few CTDs on both rogue and warrior.  After some testing I have discovered that the issue seems to be related to the lightning tree. Mages without any lightning skills CTD only as frequently as any other class.  It is an inherent flaw in either the effects or the skills themselves.  And as far as specs go...

Hello, so, on a 4960x 4.5ghz system with 970 SLi (32gb 2.4ghz quad channel ram) I had massive issues with animation stuttering mostly on cutscenes, and even on regular gameplay even tho the framerate stayed mostly at 30/60 respectively. Framerate drops were frequent enough to make me think anything besides staring at the sky created performance issues and instability. That was on Windows 7.

A friend of mine mentioned (he's a Dice games player, I'm not) that frosbite is apparently notorious for not performing as well on w7,

Installing Windows 8.1 was a revelation. Not sure if this is dx 11.1 or 11.2 related (7 is directX 11.0 only) though I'm almost certain it is, I went from having to use terrain quality and shadows on high (rest maxed+fade textures) no MSAA with High FXAA, to running everything on maximum including 4x MSAA with buttery smooth animations, noticeably better, near perfectly stable, frame pacing and I didn't even turn on the 2nd gtx 970. I'm starting to think Biowares Devs worked on windows 8.1 on this PC release. Performance on 7 was abysmal. Just by switching OS the game now performs the way I'd expect after waiting for a year to play a fully patched version of the game with several driver updates.

Now If you'll excuse me, after wasting a week on this game with terrible performance and contemplating asking for a refund, I can finally go back to just playing with virtually 0 performance issues like it should have been even on windows 7.

@DragonAgent

Interesting.  Thanks for that.  I have been contemplating an upgrade.  I think I'm going to wait for 10.  But it's still good to know.

np. Im not sure if it'll fix other issues people are having, but after my friends tried it and confirmed it.. I was still somewhat dubious but like I said, the difference was huge for me once I made the transition my self. My friends have one of them 980, the other 780ti's SLi, and me on 970 SLi. I cannot speak for other cards, but so far on at least those 3 high end cards the windows 8 "trick" has worked beyond "just" well.

Late edit. Also check it on the interwebs, but I believe those who have bought 8.1 will get windows 10 upgrade for free. Something to consider given your predicament.

You could just order them to attack.

I found a floating tree just west of the valammar waterfall. Yay. I bet there's a bazillion of those. I ignore floating grass.

Also as an aside, i ignored the "fast travel" doors in orlea for the longest time because i didn't realoze the meant to lable them "stairs" and just messed up. Silly level designers. I looked at those and thought "wow, there sure are a lot of ways out of here".

So yea, upper means 2nd floor, not northern region.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but when you have an enemy you kill explode it will leave the loot behind, and then its body will re-spawn back in only to do the fading out effect even though they already exploded...

Ughh..  it's getting harder and harder to quick-skim these for fear of spoilers before I start my first playthrough.

You guys are more thorough than my last sigmoidascope.

Doesn't work for me. Works fine in the stores or in the inventory UI, but nothing works at all if I'm in the crafting UI.

I'm going to try to edit the keybinds though. I was a bit tired when I wrote that list last night, and I never thought to try that to see if it would correct things.

One would assume that the mods for daggers are the ones you can create when you click on the daggers icon at the top of the screen to filter out everything else. A 'dual blade' grip implies daggers rather than swords, etc...

So far, the only grips I've been able to use on daggers have either been given as mission rewards, found as loot, or stripped out of weapons I've found. None of the crafted dagger grips have worked.

I made a couple of bows for Sera, and a sword for Cassandra, and the mods for those worked as they should have, so it could just be an issues specific to the daggers.

Yep. Cullen is gone. The icon is on the map. You can run into his invisible body but he is not there nor can you speak with ghost cullen. Has anyone seen a fix to this. This was the first place I read others even ran into this problem... :( .... He'll show up later right?

I am using dalish elf mage and I selected male but toon is female

Also the dalish elf mages deer thing on the war room table doesnt appear

With windows 8.1 I had to run the game in windows campability mode win7 also if you put it on full screen you get a black screen of death. Ive seen many others with this same issue and all had to run in windowed max to get almost full screen.

There a few more that I cant remember at the moment cause there are so many bugs almost like it was rushed out to meet deadlines.

And for PC users I would highly suggest getting an xbox 360 game pad cause it makes every function of the game run more seamless as though they made PC WSAD functions an after thought.

So another bug….

This time I got an invisible vendor that sells nothing at Skyhold!

Youtube link below, recorded with my cellphone, still it does show the problem, have fun, I couldn’t do anything else than laugh at this, it’s not even worth getting irritated over this game anymore.
