Why can't you turn off the Origin overlay?

It's not in the list, don't know if it's been mentionned, but any ability or equipment that increases the number of potions you can carry is broken.

Say I can carry 8 potions on Dorian, equipped with a super belt of potions or grenade.  As soon as I fast travel to an area from Skyhold, I'm back to 5.

If I go to a camp then add my potions and travel by horse, I'm back to 5 potions instead of the 8 I can carry.
Only by walking can I keep my potions.

The same happens with Sera when I unlock her ability to carry one more potion/grenade, I'm always back to 3 potions instead of 4.

I havent read all the pages but i see alot of people posting about freezes or the tactical camera etc.

I wish my issue was that simple, I cant even get into a fight cause when i do the camera decides to jump to looking anywhere but where i had it pointed. I attack, then bam, im looking behind me. I adjust the camera, attack, and bam im looking off to the side, or down from above or what have you. It goes anywhere but where i put it. Normal running around the camera is fine, try to fight and its like NOPE!!

Oh and i can add another....

Mouse doesnt seem to work in war council for me. I have to do everything as soon as i enter the room with keyboard. Save for selecting missions. Once i have the mission selected and i want to travel, or choose who to send ot anything like that, i have to use keyboard.

 

Another thing, better descritptions for items would be nice. You have that luxury or whatever item tab, but from what i hear some of those items are used for different things. But youd never know that by playing the game. If i hadnt looked it up and found out i would have been selling them all along only to find out i needed them later.

Hi, I didn't see this problem specifically mentioned in the list or on this thread. This doesn't seem like as wide spread a problem as say the game locking up on quad cores, which is another problem I have, but its extremely annoying and the "fix" that occasionally works is to buy an entirely new card.Wile this is may or may not be a bug it is very annoying and I want to know what to do before I break the bank for this. I'll leave a link to the problem we're having.

Would the good people consider this an auto attack for action cam?

I didnt know about the right click lock on. But the rest of that's stuff i figured out. Honestly, control-wise the game isnt bad, you just have to figure it out and there's no training course or manual for all the stuff. Now actually i bet there is, i just havent looked. Trial and error did the trick. A walk toggle, tech fixes, quest bug fixes, gender swaps, ui bugs, max angle on the tac cam, nav mesh jumping and clipping and fall through, ability bugs, mesh hangups, and a bazillion other things seem more important to me now that I'm over 50 hours in and know how to play the game.

Necromancer skill Walking Bomb does not do any explosive damage.

 

When the spell's explosive effect activates via timer or detonation only the animation is shown but no damage is actually dealt. I have tested this by looking at the health bars of the enemies affected. Damage-over-time works, but explosion only knocks enemies to the ground--not dealing any damage. This is upsetting since it is supposed to be the main appeal to the spell. 600% weapon damage that spreads to other enemies is huge. But, one cannot take out hoards of enemies with a contagious spell if said spell does nothing but knock them down when it should be turning them into pink mist (due to damage and not misleading animation).

 

Note: I have seen this spell work properly on YouTube; but, I wonder if it was on a different platform. Any other PC gamers having this issue?

I noticed in the battle against the Grand Duchess that she tends to stand on stair guardrails, balcony guardrails and garden walls. (about 1m high) When i let Vivienne attack her with Spirit Blade, while the Duchess was standing on a guardrail, no damage was done. Damage could only be done with Spirit Blade while Duchess was fighting on the ground.

As the game goes on I have the 'mouse clicking goes bye bye' issue more and more, particularly in the war room. If I click LMB+RMB (simultaneously) it seems to fix the issue. You may have tried that already - I feel like we're all trying a lot of voodoo to get stuff to work - but I figured I'd throw it out there, because it's not at all intuitive (at least to me).

 

And for the second point... /wipes away tear while looking at requisition for Fereldan medallion of service

Bugs

 

Bugs relating to the Keep

1)  I am on my second character because of a bug I think I found in my import from DA Keep. In that game my world state has Loghain joining the Grey Wardens, Alistair executed, Loghain killing the Archdemon and dying. Two things make me think something went wrong in the import:

  • When talking to Threnne(?), the requisitions officer in Haven she makes no mention of Loghain redeeming himself. I don't know if she would have, but I noticed it. Anora is correctly referred to as queen.
  • When I unlocked "The Fifth Blight, Vol. II" it talked about the Landsmeet and that Loghain was condemned to execution, but nothing about this being converted. Nor does it talk about Alistair at all. I would think this is a good place for both those events to be referenced.

Following bugs are from my second character, Daikeer Lavellan

2) 12/9/14 -*snip* Sera’s belt, a Grenades belt, won’t hold the additional grenade. Tried it first on Varric, then Sera. I can fill the belt with 4 grenades, but once I’m out in the field there are only 3. I checked multiple times to make sure I wasn't forgetting to fill it or that I used one without realizing it. Nope. I can fill with 4 but can only use 3.

 

 

Other Bugs or oddities

1)  After the first convo in her tent, I can no longer find Leliana. Since I can routinely talk to the other war table advisers I can only think this is a glitch. Possible fix (worked for me):

*snip* . . . I went to my settings and changed HUD to always be on. Don't know why, but I did. Lo and behold Corporal Vale was visible in the 'flesh' and I could talk to him. Glitch work-around or coincidence? I tested with an earlier save in Haven, Frostback mountains rather, and was able to see and speak with Leliana. FYI, the HUD was on contextual mode before I changed it.

11/26/14 - Even though I switched to HUD 'always on' seeing Leliana in her tent or Cullen in front of the Chantry were tricky. I even had to exit out and/or restart DAI entirely before I could see and interact with them. 'Always off' didn't seem any better than 'contextual' as far as I can tell.

Here's a peculiar bug for you.

 

Cassandra has a problem with arm upgrades to her armour.  Ever since I returned to Haven from Redcliffe (before the patch!) it's like the extra bits that surround her shoulder sockets have gone AWOL. The 'holes' let you see straight though her like clipping through a wall does. I tried a save from earlier in the game and it is now the same then too.  Without arm upgrades or with a 'complete' non-upgradeable set it looks fine.

 

I might try doing a "repair game" to see if that sorts it.

In multiplayer, Keeper's Mins Blast upgrade does not work - it doesn't restore barriers at all. In the campaign, it works fine. Pretty sure it isn't detonating any combos either.

Sometimes in combat while the game is paused, whenever I switch to a character who may be too far away or who's behind a wall (basically whenever the camera switch to another character by fading to black and then back again) the game goes from paused to unpaused.

Also, the most annoying thing is that when a character dies and I want to revive him by walking up to him and pressing the interact button I can't just switch to another character who might be fighting. Try getting Sera (i use her as an example but it doesn't matter who you're controlling) to revive Solas using the tactical camera. If I switch to Cassandra or someone else, then Sera won't finish reviving Solas - she will just continue fighting. So now I have to hold down the revive button while someone else could be dying. I would like to see a patch that makes it so that if someone is ordered to revive a downed character then the revive-action shouldn't stop until the downed character is up and alive again.

Patched yesterday. No real problems from patch other then shiny hair till 10 minutes ago started flickering in the hinterlands. Flickering bad.

Multiplayer

 

There is another problem after the patch 2 - there is no posibility to map the Push to talk to a mouse button. In fact mapping an action to the mouse is not possible in general.

 

There is a visible and annoying difference in how the characters are moving in multiplayer vs the campaign: they are much slower and have that terrible collision issue. It feels like you are playing with a brick shaped turttle and you are bumping all the time to your team mates. In the campaign the characters are moving much more natural and fluid - faster - and there is no collision.

 

I was expecting at least the same level of game play in ME3 multiplayer.

There is character collision in campaign. It's not a bother to me because its realistic, but in campaign i can move all thw characters on my team.

So, what exactly is different about movement from campaign to multi?

Is the movement speed the difference between weapon drawn and weappn holstered?

Im curious now. Maybe I'll try the multiplayer.

You can fix that by Alt Tabbing out and back in to the game. At least, that works for me whenever I get that bug.

Game runs decently for me, its just that it crashes every 10 minutes, without any errors making it completely unplayable. Everything is brand new on my end, built in anticipation of Inquisition. I'm really at my wits end, the game is installed, works but I can't play it. Really hope there's another hotfix soon fixing it, alternatevely we'll have to wait for the patch. Certainly the last time I've given money for a game.
