^^ I think the camera system needs to be totally revamped.

And I haven't even started playing yet.

The only issue I have is with performance. Right not the game is not running my CPU at even half capacity and my GPU doesn't get above the low 80's (i.e. 80-83%) in load. My rig can run BF4 with Ultra Settings @ 1080p no problem - on DAI I have to use Medium. Now, I accept that there is significantly more to be rendered withe the much greater depth of view than you get in a first-person shooter, so even if I had to run it on High instead of Ultra I would be perfectly happy. But when you see quite clearly that the game itself is not making use of the available hardware this is a significant problem.

To sum up:

Not all CPU cores are being used, nearly half the logical cores are at 0% load.

Of the logical cores that are being used, they are mostly under 50% load.

The GPU load hovers around 80% load.

The resulting poor framerates is all to predictable.

Specs:

i7-3930k @ 4.33Ghz (OC)

16GB RAM

GTX770 OC 4GB VRAM

Win 7 x64

That said, however, I'm loving the game and I can see what an amazing effort it has been. I don't have any buyers remorse, I just expect the correct performance out of the game which is a perfectly reasonable assumption as a customer.

If anyone requires more specific info including screencaps, reports, logging, etc, please ask.

PRAISE THE MAKER I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE?

I cranked my settings to Ultra assuming my PC could handle it (I've done it on several other games before without issue though it's technically not the norm for me, but DA: I looked so pretty I wanted the full promised experience) and was disappointed when right out of the gate the loading screens and character select menu were lags more pretentious brother-in-law with about a 1 second delay when I tried to choose my preferred race, etc.

I lowered them to High, but now that I'm in more populated area's the lag is hitting me hard and it's a shame because this game is amazing so far! I love the characters and the storyline, and even at high the graphics and quality holds up better than I ever expected. I'll just be disappointed if I have to turn everything down to Medium! It sucks, but I guess I'm glad that I'm not alone in this? (Sad, too, for everyone who's frustrated over all of this, but at least we're a potential angry mob together?)

Oh thank goodness, I thought it was just me and I was being judge-y or something. I don't mind how it zooms in on characters when you talk to them, but please correct my camera once the conversation is done? No one wants to adjust that every time they have to talk to someone with a floating icon over their heads.

Farmland Security Quest. In the Hinterlands: Subquest of the Horsemaster. I set up all the watch towers and got the indication to return back to Bron, but there was no indication of Bron on the map. Found him after searching for about 10 mins, but he would not recognize that the quest is down. Now I after the countless hours I spent completely all the other quest to raise my Inquisition Rep I have little too show for it.

This is a very tiny bug but worth putting on the list nonetheless; I thought it was to do with my software, but then I watched a friend's twitch stream and she had the same issue:

On PCs using a controller to play, occasionally the D-pad stops working to change characters. If you go into the menus, it still works, but it refuses to change characters. It's a quick fix--simply saving, exiting, and starting up again seems to work, but it's a problem when you enter a big battle and suddenly you can't issue orders or manually make a party member use a potion.

DA:I feels like an MMO with terrible console controlls and annoying camera and bad NPC AI.

Only it is not massively, nor online, nor console (PC) and... well, no words for camera or NPCs.

On the plus side, it's Dragon Age! More story! Almost an RPG!

I am not sure, whether to endure the crashes, freezes and language changes via Outcome/file modifications... Or just Play Far Cry 4, untill DA gets patched a bit? :o

Go with Far Cry4

From the looks of it, it's going to be difficult for just 1 patch to cover everything that needs to be fixed.

I know I'm waiting.  Not gonna ruin my experience.

Could we please add the melee/hitbox issue to the list, too?

I've been experiencing some really bad audio lag between the dialogue and the lip sync with the characters.  It's only by a few seconds, but it's very noticeable.  It breaks immersion and distracting during cutscenes.

I'm also having such an issue. I don't know whether it's because I have everything on High and setting it to Medium would even-out the playing field (not that we should HAVE to do this, but it may be a temporary fix to a hopefully temporary issue) but it can be annoying when you see their lips moving 1-3 seconds behind/ahead of what the characters are saying. Sometimes it's spot on, but most times it's an issue that needs to be looked at.

I had the same thing.

Had to lower some of the settings down and disabled AA entirely.

Now it doesn't happen, AA works really bad with this game, because I didn't see a drastic difference between "no" and 4xMSAA.

I'm not sure if this is PC only, but I'm playing a Knight-Enchanter and I'm encountering this visual bug where the spirit blade isn't materializing when the spell is used, like it should.

It only happened halfway. Initially the blade appeared, but now it just looks like I'm slashing with an invisible sword. Reloading to an earlier save that didn't have that issue just seemed to carry the problem over.

Try different Post-Effect options (medium, high, ultra) maybe it's tied to that?

The fact that there isn't even a run/walk toggle says it all. I am def holding on with buying this game until there has been a patch

Wow, it's weird you have performance problems with rig of such class. I'm still trying to get the optimum/balance  with my rig:

i5-3550, 3,30 GHz

8 GB RAM

Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC 2GB, slightly oc-ed

Win 7 x64

Actually I'm able to get pretty good performance on ultra settings with 2x MSAA during gameplay. However, the game seems to have performance problems during cut scenes. Lowering settings doesn't help too much (in some cases it even....lowers performance), so I guess that's a question of optimization. It just looks like- as you said- the game doesn't use full potential of our hardware.  As for my rig- I don't know the display difference between BF3 and BF4, but  my PC was running BF3  smoooothly with game settings totally maxed out.

I know that's completely off-top but perhaps that's the case in newest EA-distributed games? Low fps syndrome was typical of Fifa 15 right after release date- but only during replays, not in the whole gameplay... Of course I'm not comparing the complexity of these 2 games in terms of how much our GPU needs to render. Just saying ;-)

I know it's obvious- but are you completely sure you have newest drivers? I updated mine right before playing, I was surprised to see my GPU being recognized as a card of R9 series power - but it seems it paid off ;-)

I have average 41fps on ultra+1080p, and I mean really ultra settings (you can set even higher settings than ultra by selecting custom and then all on ultra/max)

And I have fx-8350@4.3GHz, 8GB RAM 1720mhz, hd7950 boost 3gb vram, and all of that with dx11, will try mantle soon...

But the bugs.. I'm just waiting for the patch, I don't want to ruin my experience with DA right now, and I have plenty of other games to play already..

The difficulty system is buggy.

Even in casual most of the rifts are too powerfull to survive even the frist wave.

btw. how to close a rift is explained at the beginning.

No demons nearby and go for it.

Why could there be waves? Wave one defeated and directly then thre should be the close rift option.

Instead a rift has some kind of health bar going down for every wave defeated and onyl when last last one is done you can close it.

So what sense is in "disturbing the rift"? None. Next wave comes when the one before is done. Not earlier. This option makes no sense.

Disturbing the rift does pretty sizable damage (at least at low levels, not sure how it scales) to all demons around and stuns them for a while. Pretty nifty as it both protects you and damages the baddies!

i7-4790k @ 4(4.4 turbo)

16GB RAM @ 1600mhz

Asus GTX 780 DCII-OC 3GB VRAM(Build this machine about 2 months ago, really wish I had known about GTX 980 coming out as I could have afforded it back then, damn my research into this computer not hitting upon that(And damn the website I ordered the parts from not telling me))

Win 7 Ultimate x64

I am running on ultra, though going custom with everything on highest is not a good idea.(Ultra apparently is not maxed out settings)

However I do notice lag from time to time, where my FPS drops from 40-50 to 30-35 and the lag is definitely visible then, though not game breakingly.

Will be reformatting the list later today, to keep only bugs posted in single player, MP and general categories and adding an Community Opinion section for the opinions being posted by many!

This should make it easier for the devs to distinguish the bugs on PC and what opinions would only improve this game for the community (example: the keyboard and mouse controls or tac camera rehaul)

Thread name slightly changed to make more sense :)
