Depends on what you define as 'religious' and since it's fictional, how could it have any ties to Christ?

If by Christianity, you mean Catholicism, and by Catholicism, you mean a mythical Bioware version of it where God apparently thinks that humanity sucks and is unworthy of his attention except for Andraste, then yes.
The Chantry might be styled after the Catholic church as far as structure and political influence, but for anyone familiar with anything about the teachings of it, you'd know they are VASTLY different religions.
And yes, the Chantry is a huge part of the game, just like it was in the previous 2 games. That being said, I would say the game is much more about politics than religion, but the Chantry is pretty much integral to everything in Thedas.

Does fictional religion trouble you? If so, this game is likely not a good fit. I have Christian friends who do not mind stuff like this, and others who would not touch a Dragon Age game with a ten foot pole for this very reason.
Have you played the other two games? Did they make you uncomfortable with regard to this issue?
Ultimately, only you know whether this game will be a good fit for you or not. I wish you the best of luck in reaching your decision.

No, it does not have strong ties to Christianity nor does this game comes off as very religius. Yes, there are religious persons in this game e.g. more in the Chantry (in the game) than in other places. But you, as the Inquisitor, the main character does not have to religious (as I understand it). You can even (i think?) say to the persons you meet during your travels (in the gameworld) that you don't believe in the maker....or that you're not very religious....
edit:
If the story is very religious, I really can't answer since U have yet to play the game. But you have a main character, (your character) which, together with some friends, inquire as to what or who was behind or responsible for the big bad breach in the sky. During your travels you will meet religious people, semi-religious and people who do not believe in the Maker at all (e.g. dwarfs and Dalish elves and of course, the qunari....)
Who the antagonist is, I don't know as of yet....

Not ten in and they will not stop beating me about the head with their nonsense...."Andraste" this, "Herald" that, The Maker hit me with a wiffle ball bat....
I wonder if there's a way to kill a priestess with their own hat.

Actually it is drawn from Christiantiy, since Gaider stated he drew from the Catholics veiws to create the religion. I would say it's verily similar to the ways it was before Maritan Luther's famous nailing of his views on why the church need to reform on his local church's door. Please don't compare this game religion to Christianity.

Intresting that majority seems to think Catholism = Christianity since in my country Catholism doesn't really exist. In other hand Lutheranism = Christianity at least here. Chantry isn't very close to that.

Well it has religions, faiths but, nothing real world, it's Thedas, not earth afterall. Sure there are zealots, devoutly faithful and, doubters, those of no faith, some have one diety some a pantheon, some worship nature, just a variety, like life, ony Thedas style.

I would say religion is a massive part of this game (er, for the first 20 or so hours I've played it
); it does get tedious, but that is just a fundamental part of the lore of this world. If you do not want to engage with a story that deals with religious/political conflict, this is not the narrative for you.

If you were to draw parallels to Christianity and this game, what or whi would Corypheus be in christian mythology? I mean who is similar/his equal in christianity?

Corypheus would be a false prophet I suppose. As to which...well take your pick.
I am an Romanian Orthodox Christian. I find it rather interesting that DA:I instead of ***** footing around issues of faith, belief, non-belief and so on dove head on into those debates. There's a lot of allegory to real life religion and besides you lead an organization called the Inquisition. What do you think they stand for?

Doesn't help that when it comes to media and pop culture, Christianity is either linked exclusively with Catholicism or Hardcore Right-Wing Politics.

Does he qualify as a little more than a fallen prophet with his power and all?
