Hello, everyone! New to the forums here. I hope I'm posting in the right spot. Forgive me if I'm wrong.
To start off, I'm extremely late on the ME trilogy. I just played all three games this year, and I must say, they are absolutely amazing. I remember starting the first game. I picked up Wrex and Garrus and those two immediately became my best buddies throughout the whole trilogy. I took them on every mission I could, unless a specific squad mate was absolutely needed or was much more optimized than those two. If I had the option to blow through the enemy's front lines with these two, you better believe that I didn't even hesitate to take it up. Then.. Ashley. Yes, I decided to romance Ashley. I thought she was an alright gal. This lead to me choosing Ashley over Kaiden. I'm sorry Kaiden. You are gone, but not forgotten. Great start to a trilogy in my opinion.
I loved the first game so I decided to follow up and get the second game in the series. It was great seeing everyone again. The moment I was informed that Archangel was a turian causing trouble on Omega, I knew exactly who he was and rushed to save him. I was legitimately worried for a fictional character when he was mortally wounded. I kid you not. I then met up with one of my other good friends on Tuchanka, Wrex. He didn't join my team but it was completely understandable as to why he couldn't. In his stead, I found Legion. He didn't replace Wrex, but he was one hell of a sharpshooter. Then I met up with Ashley on Horizon. Sadly, she didn't want to join my cause, but I wasn't mad. The came Jack. Yes, I romanced Jack in ME2. She was crazy on the outside but she was normal on the inside. Then the suicide mission. I replayed saves over and over just to make sure everyone made it out alive. Great continuation of the game.
Again, loved ME2 so I said,"F it! Let's get the third!" Again, loved how BioWare progressed all the original characters to doing their own thing. I found Garrus as a general, Wrex leading his planet, and Legion.. Well he wasn't doing so well, but I took care of that. I was sad that I didn't have the whole crew on my ship as I thought I would, but that's alright. Everyone was off doing their own thing. We had our ups and our downs in ME3. I lost quite a few people along the way, but they are not forgotten. Towards the end.. I decided to give up my own life and destroy the reapers once and for all. I don't know if somebody found me through all that rubble in time or not (perfect ending where Shepard "survives"), but I died happily knowing I saved my friends and the whole galaxy. At least I got to hang out with them one last time and get into all kinds of trouble in the Citadel DLC. Not all stories have happy endings. Shepard may no longer be with us, but he is immortalized through all the fans of the first Mass Effect trilogy.
Great game, BioWare! Great story, great character development and amazing gameplay. I look forward to the next Mass Effect trilogy. Forgive me for my wall of text. I just had to get this off my chest. Thanks for taking the time to read! ![]()
