Hi, i'm sorry if this has been answered but after looking around and trying various fixes i still get problems.

So here's the deal.

I set up the world state in dragon age keep with all the right info and exports it following the tutorials given on this forum.

I get the timestamp and when i start my game on my pc through origin and start a new game, i choose import world state from keep.

The timestamp match up and looks good. i'm guessing it's always supposed to say loaded custom world state and not the name i gave the state on the keep.

When i later check the info it seems to have gone back to a default state, female elf warden warrior, no romance and died. and male hawke mage no romance sided with mages.

i have tried multiple times and after going to haven like 5 times to check iv'e started using the playthroughs section in the keep to verify if it worked.

some of the things i tried include making a different world state, export it and then going back to my previous one didn't work.

renamed custom world state to a name and a description. didn't work. logging out and logging back into origin after i syncing the world state; didn't work either.

those who seem to have similar problems have problems due to other origin accounts or consoles not linked properly. I play on a pc and the origin account i use to play and on the keep should be the same since i get the playtrough info back to the keep.

Really hoping to find a solution to this as i already got burned off a 10 hour save with info being botched and want my first playthrough of the game to be the story i had in the other games.

Hey there,

Do you have the Origin client running while you start the game? If not, you should. You can also check our guide to exporting if you haven't yet, especially the 'Setup,' 'PC' and 'Troubleshooting' sections: http://forum.bioware...to-inquisition/

Well the problem is that i followed the page you linked, troubleshooting part as well after it didn't work. and origin is running when i do all this as i checked multiple times to make sure. and it fells like theres something wrong when i get the exact correct timestamp as in the keep for my worldstate but none of the info.

What information appears to be wrong?

Could you tell me the class race combos you are expecting currently for Hawke and warden?

The class combos are pretty much right, although gender, romances and ending is wrong, and when i check te tapestry from playthrough states lots of minor faults.

 the Dedault im getting is

Female elf warrior warden Lyna mahariel, no romance and died killing archdemon.

Male Garrett Hawke mage, no romance and sided with mages.

While the state i am exporting is

Male elf warrior, romanced morrigan and did the ritual to kill the archdemon.

Male Hawke mage, romanced merril and sided with mages.

some parts of the story isn't that important to get right, but companion relationships being wrong and hearing that the warden died when he didn't in my "world" it is really offputting and breaks immersion alot.

Seems to be accurate in the backend, I think you may not be loading up the playstates correctly when you are checking.

Odd, i followed the instructions to the letter and check the states before i export, when i export and get the timestamp and when i import and get the timestamp.

Could there be something wrong with my computer or game that would cause it to perhaps corrupt the state i am importing and so it choses a default one?

I just tried again, and to make it easier to check i made a new state with different race and class for the warden. when i get it back in the playthrough states its back to the same old one again.

Will try reinstalling DAI again, maybe there is something wrong with my game.

Your game uploaded the correct data (male mage hawke, relationship with merril.)

Was there an action in the game that was inconsistent with your save? or just when you loaded the playthrough back into the keep it was incorrect?

when checking now it seems the playthoughs have changed somewhat, but when i got to haven the references from companions didn't match the state i exported from the keep. leliana saying the warden was a woman and died basically.

I have started reinstalling the game through origin, perhaps somehting odd happend during my preload? and since people say The keep works better on google chrome ill sett up my state anew with it just to be safe.

also you last question. when i checked my last playthrough states in Chrome they seem mostly correct, maybe my firefox messed with me loading up my states and showed me the same one for some reason?

got som new hope now that chrome gives me the new info i made.

Will report if it works. Have my fingers crossed :)

That's really bizzare.

Try it with chrome, and fire me a message if things work out. Your case seems really weird to me so I'd like to figure out what happened.

Just so you know, I'm having the same issue. My game said I correctly imported the world state, but I'm getting multiple conversations from NPCs that aren't correct.

Examples:

I had a male warden. When asking Leliana about the warden, she says "I knew her...."

One of the NPCs told me that Merryl (from second game) was alive and keeping her clan away from the Templar/Mage fighting. She is dead on my import.

I also just made it to Redcliffe, and the storyteller says that Connor died. He survived.

So now I'm several hours in and reasonably convinced the import didn't work.

Well, don't know the exact reason why, but after doing a reinstall and making a new worldstate in google Chrome instead of firefox it seems to work as it should. Verified it with the companions in haven. Fnally i can really bite into the story the way it was meant to be played.

Thank you very much to those who helped me solve this problem.

I'm getting issues with my import as well. Going through the Codex it says my male dalish elf warden died, but I imported a female human mage who lived. Some of the conversations with Varric about Hawke sound wrong as well.
