They never said it was a return to DA:O gameplay.  They said they brought back tactical view for Origins fans; don't extrapolate on what you read.  I've watched all the Twitch video, and they said exactly what I'm telling you.

Now, if it is broken or bugged; that can be fixed later on.  But playing Origins prior to this release to keep me waiting; the only diff between Origins and 2 is that the camera pans.  The rest is the same. (not talking about presentation or abilities, but the format)

dont want to go into a "they said this" interpretation fight, so Ill just say it can be clearly understood from reading the Dragon age Fans, myself among them, that complain on these threads, that many of them got the impression that the strategy/tactical nature was going to be worked on and the game was going to be challenging from a strategical-rpg dragon age standard.

can you honestly say that wasn't said or that was what was done in Inquisition? can you honestly say that so many dragon age fans simply read too much into what was being said or misinterpreted?

I used to be a PC gamer, decided to go and stick with consoles.  I'm not a fanboy, it's just a personal preference.  I don't think developers should treat ANY of their customers as "second rate/class".  If you build it for a platform, it should be optimized for it.

Everyone paid for their copy, everyone deserves the best their platform can do.  Blizzard has always been a PC developer but when they made a console version of Diablo III it was done right.  I didn't feel like an afterthought when I paid for my copy.

Yeah, I played about 5-6 hours today, and quite frankly, it just wasn't fun at all. It was painful. I got my refund. Kudos to them for that policy...

Honeslty it looks like a ton of ponential, but in the end, the actual game play was just horrid (to me). I didn't like DA2 at all, but it may have been a bit better, at least as far as real-time gameplay went.

may revisit down the road, if they do some major patching (doubtful) or when I can get it for $30 instead of $70.

I don't know what's so game breaking about this game. I occasionally running into bugs, but it only happens twice during my 50 hours gameplay. This game is everything I ask for with deep customization, decisions, storyline, and big open world that can be plays for more than 100 hours. I don't know about you, but most game nowadays only last for 5-30 hours. I already got my money worth out of it. Up to you, I guess.

It's game breaking on Pc and deluxe digital copy...if it won't let you enter the game due to the bug that keeps asking for direct x 10 when your puter stats are within mid-range and you have direct x 11 on your machine.   It let me in ONCE for an hour....now its back to babbling about direct x 10 again.

Have refund and return policies gotten so bad that if a product is not "as described" you are stuck with it? Try looking into your states' specific laws on that. Most of the time if you press for a refund you will get one. Even from brick and morter stores.

Amazon has very good return policies. If the game is not working, and you bought it from them, send it back. Code or no code. If it doesn't work and you can't play it, you can demand a refund. Write a letter if you have to. It's old school and all but at least you have it in writing then with a date on it.

Lmao at people who bought a next gen game on a last gen console.

Do you not take your gaming enthusiasm seriously?

All I know is game is great on ps4.

Hmmm, some people can't afford a PS4? I did (for this game precisely, bought it in September figuring I'd play NHL in the meantime), and up until this game, it was a waste of money.

I think they should have left last gen behind, but since they didn't, they need to address issues the game is having.  Your post is pointless and uncalled for.  They paid the same price we did for their copy.

Yep I requested a refund. I'm waiting until I can afford a PS4 to get it instead.

You won't regret it; PS4 version has very few bugs, and looks/plays great.

Pfft. Its a new game, a big open world game. Those are always buggy (Skyrim) so chill out. They'll fix bugs soon enough, like every game does after release.

Has anyone had success returning a physical copy to a retail store? I'd be happy exchanging DA:I for a finished game of equal value

Hi!

Thanks to some helpful gents on the forums whom pointed out to me that you could still get a refund even after the so called "24hr window" had passed by contacting them directly.

I did and got my refund!

If your not happy with the game, get a refund by giving them a call, it was quick and easy. :)

Doesn't have to be a call. I had gotten a refund past the GGG time window by simply accessing the EA live support chat and politely asked for.

So if you don't to call EA by phone (or can't), try the support chat.

Hi!

That should work too. :)

Although they call you quicker than the wait through the chat (I was impatient), both should work fine.

Thanks for pointing out that the chat method is viable as well.

After loving DA1, hating DA2 and putting 55 hours in DA3 I am loving the game. It has its glitches and bugs but the game play is fun and the story is interesting. But they do need to hop on fixing the game ASAP.

I wish I did at this point. I don't think a lot of these problems are going to get the proper attention they need to be fully fixed to be honest. A lot of issues seem like fundamental design flaws and I duno if they can fix them with patches....

Ugh man. This game makes me want to play dragon age origins again just to experience something that isn't terrible.

I think it's graphic incompatible. My PC has that at first, but the I realize the game run on a weaker card, so I switch to a different card and the game works out great. Not sure, but the game run smoothly for me. I have Radeon though instead of Nvidia.

I just started playing it on PS4... Wow. WHAT a sacrifice they made for last gen. Needless to say, I'm loving it. At last
