*snip*

I think you underestimate the structural problems this game has for quite some players. So far most people who actually gave reasons for their disapproval had the foremost point that the game simply doesn't work stable.

And that's hardly a thing you can go and research for a game that is just releasing. Same as people are entirely within their right to expect a released game to be stable enough to find out if they like it or not.

That said, I can likewise empathize with your sentiment that some people have outlandish expectations and/or petty reasons to go whining about. I do not agree with your generalisation however.

People posting about graphics while playing on the 360 need to stop and think about the game being designed for graphics on xbox 1, ps4, and PC graphics. And for PC players to have a good system to run it at its highest.

As for the bugs. Bioware is known for patching it's games to ensure playability. I'm playing on PC and the graphics are great. I hit a few bugs here and there, nothing serious, and get a few crashes. Doesn't keep me from playing.

I can run high graphics on everything.
I7 quadcore 2.7ghz
Evga gtx 660 2gb gpu oc'd with precision x
12gb ram

Good game that will be better once the patch goes in to fix some minor issues.

If you guys want awesome graphics I suggest getting a better system or not complaining about them.

I wish I could.. really I do :(

Not everyone can afford to just up and order a new system. I'm upgrading mine enough to play the game (hopefully).

If this is anything like Mass Effect 3, Bioware will do their best to make their unhappy gamers happy. There will be fixes without a doubt.

Not really - they didn't make all of us happy (the "fix" for ME3 is still crap - yes, some people agreed that it made it better, but an equal number still thinks ME3 is crap...not that I am saying DA:I is as bad as ME3...it's better (note: funnily enough, in this game it's the gameplay that sucks, not the story - ME3 was the other way round), but it does have issues it should not have (I am in the process of compiling a list :) )

greetings LAX

To be fair: people not liking a story is not equal to being disappointed because the game is not working. For all I know DAI might also have a story that I may not like. But I don't even have the chance to find out, which is the problem.

I take disagreeing with an artistic vision over a game  crashing on me everytime, all day, every day.

People who bought it directly off Origin can refund the game without hazzle via GGG within 24 hours, or potentionally even later (though obviously the longer you wait, the smaller your chances for a successful refund request go).

People who bought it for PC from a retailer are mostly out of luck though.

No, I could have clarified further, have no problem people being p'd off about crashes and other problems related to actually running the game; if it were me I'd wait for a patch/fix, but to each its own. I was more addressing the countless drones that bash over and over and over...

Fair enough. I'm also pretty annoyed by people just whining around without giving reasons for why they do.

It's hard to make things better if you don't know what they actually want, though in this specific case, there's enough to fix to not be bothered trying to guess for a while. I just hope DAI won't be as fickle as Bf4 is (or BiOWare proves more adapt to patching the game than DICE has been so far, but that's another story for another forum).

Luna to be fair I'm playing on a 5 year old system. Only upgraded graphics card and added some ram. And that was almost 12-16months ago. I wish I could have a better system too. Just saying if your on the 360 don't expect amazing graphics on a system it wasn't planned for outside of to keep a customer base happy.

If you can, do it like me: donate blood plasma. Every month I go to donate blood plasma (not blood, just the plasma, I need my blood!) once or twice and get 20 bucks for each donation. Do that a year, save it and you've got yourself 200-300 bucks. Want latest eyecandy? Bleed for it. Literally B)

It's how I paid for my GTX 660 Ti two years ago, though lately I've fallen prey to my inner glutton and rather spend those twenty bucks on various sweets and pizza. But that's okay too, I bleed for calories then

Nicely enough my refund already shows up as "completed". As soon as they fix a couple major issues I'll purchase it again.

(Really, if they just give us a decent PC controls that will probably be enough to get me to purchase it again).

I'm trying to like it (and it is good on some levels). I typed out all of this other stuff but whats the point? If I am feeling too down on the game I should just move on and come back when its patched.

No, because I have chosen to wait a couple of weeks after release, and then I'll decide if I want to buy it.

The first advantage of doing so has already presented itself - after hearing about PC technical issues, and lower quality graphics on 360/PS 3, I've decided that I'll get it for PS 4 (if I decide to buy it.)

I purchased the Deluxe Edition of DA Inquisition  from Amazon, and I have Windows 7 64 Bits processor with the latest upgrades required to play the game. There are 4 disks and when I put in the first one  in it came up with a clickable option to  CONTINUE. when I clicked it it took me to Origins, where it started a download of the game.  Is this the way the game is loaded, or what? None of my other disks work, and the game keeps downloading stuff from Origin.

Will someone, (preferably a Dev) or someone who had the same problem tell me why my disks won't work... PLEASE!

I've had the pleasure of playing on PS4 and the displeasure of playing on 360.

The ps4 playthrough is phenomenal. This is my favorite game of the year.

Had I stuck with 360, it would've been the biggest disappointment.

I bought the PC Deluxe version from Gamestop.  Obviously I cannot return it now, but given the choice, I would definitely swap it for a PS4 Deluxe version.

Did you redeem your deluxe edition codes? If you didn't then they might let you swap since that means the game is basically unused. Make sure to tell them you didn't redeem the codes if that's the case.

Otherwise, you can turn the game in for 30 dollars and swallow the cost difference for the ps4 game. ::shrug:: Consider it an investment in "learning a lesson". That's what I tell myself when swallowing a cost to make a situation better in the long run.

Got my full refund yesterday.

I was one of the hundreds of people who weren't even able to see the main menu when trying to launch the game.

And only thing EA had to say about this little thing was literally; 'Get a new processor or get a refund.'
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have extra $300 just lying around to buy a new computer to play a game that I should be able to run.

I'm still doubtful about the combat mechanics for PC, and I don't know if I should buy this again someday.
Hopefully there will be a patch for the black screens, and some better mouse and keyboard controls. Otherwise, I'm sorry bioware but you screwed up royally this time.

I think what's happening is that your computer is downloading the "Origin Client Software."

If you've never done so before, it is a DRM system required to play Dragon Age: Inquisition, so the download likely began automatically when it detected that you didn't have Origin on your computer.

I doubt even if BW had intentions to release a more stable game EA would have given them the time.  Yeah, it's a big grand game with a lot of stuff to do.  I have seen far too many people on far too many platforms with far too many issues to justify paying for it.

WE are the reason companies like EA are large and wealthy.  How broken must a game be before we as gamers demand better for our money?

Just curious how many others are so disappointed (doesn't really say it right, more like disappointed and downright furious) that they decided to request a refund?

For those that didn't, and are thinking about it still, I encourage you to do so since it's really the only thing that will make the publishers take notice (although, the user reviews on Metacritic are hilariously negative except those which seem to be basically from "people who don't like RPGs". Maybe EA will notice that too. Wait, who am I kidding, they'll notice money and nothing else...)

If they fix it, whether that's in a few days, or a few months, then I'll purchase it again. Seems like the logical way to send a message about the type of quality control deemed acceptable...

The game is very good,i play on pc , direct to my HD TV with a xbox controller the  experience is  AWESOME.
