I had some problems getting a refund, but I finally received it.

I'll check it out later after the bugs and kinks have been worked out and it is on sale for 5 bucks. The button mashing combat is pretty bad, so the game isn't worth more than that IMO.

So apparently I can request a refund within 2 weeks of placing my order.

Yep. Placed my order less than two weeks ago.

Within a week of the game being released.

Again, it was only released in the UK yesterday.

Within 24 hours of first trying to play the game.

Seriously? My first attempt was just under 29 hours ago. Whatever happened to the "within 2 weeks of placing the order" thing?

Well that's £60 I won't be seeing ever again (about $20 more than my Transatlantic friends were paying for a game they got to play 3 days earlier).

Seriously? Ugh.

Try again by contacting Origin's customer service. Just keep on bugging them until you get someone who is competent and can help you, don't forget to mention their "Great Game Gaurantee". That is how I got my money back.

I considered getting a refund from Amazon. The PC controls make the game unplayable for me. However, call me the fool that I am, in my heart I keep hoping that Bioware release a patch offering traditional, point and click, mouse and keyboard commands...

For those who like the control scheme and are enjoying the game; good for you! There is so much pain in the world that it is nice when something works out for someone.

For the rest of us; well, maybe Bioware just doesn't want to make the kind of games we want to play anymore. Sad, but all good things come to an end. We'll just have to see what other developers are offering these days. But I have spent my last dollar with Bioware; unless they fix the controls I will never buy another of their products, regardless of hype.

I requested my refund, and I hope it goes through!

Seriously, I have been waiting for this game for a long time and I am so hugely disappointed. DA: O was awesome, DA: II, while it had its flaws, was still quite good, this game is just plain bad, from controls, to story, to extremely bland characters.

After adapting to the controls I don't think I would go the refund route. I'm 25 hours in and I love the story, war room, characters, graphics, audio, crafting system and just about everything else. Combat is pretty rough, I miss tactics, and the AI is some of the worst in the series and genre. Still the game is a masterpiece. I often forget the internet is filled with negative people who will never be satisfied with anything, especially in the gaming world( no offense to any of you peeps). It's a lot easier to focus on the bad, complain and rant. Fact is, despite the shortcomings of the combat system I really adore this game.

I bought the 360 Deluxe,  If I could have I would have returned it.

On a positive:  I love the Multi-Player, just not enough to justify 70 dollars.

Worth every penny. Though maybe not if you're not running it on on next-gen or a high end PC.

The graphics are worse than gamecube. I was looking forward to it, but Bioware lied to us. False advertising for those of us not on Xbox One. Shame on you.

Are you insane??? The graphics are incredible!!! best grx i have ever seen on PC, and i have been a gamer for over 25 years. I have a gtx780ti and omg.... goty and best graphics on a game ever this size.

You know except for the fact that it isn't false advertising....

Everything they used to promote the game was from next gen consoles, PC, or was enhanced.

Just like every other game that is marketed to the public.

Nope, no refund for me, 17 hours in the game (PC version), love every minute of it, combat took some time to adjust to, but now it seems much more simple to navigate. Minor bugs here and there, but nothing too serious so far. Hope the rest of the game will be just as fun!

It gets better and better and better, each new area the grx are amazing. I too am using a 360 pad and it works and plays a dream. I am loving every min of it and i played all the dragon age games. This is bar far one of the best games ever made. People moaning should using a pad... it works great.

The developers already said they're listening, and working on releasing a patch. What are you actually voting with your wallet again if they're working on fixing the bugs now? Big games like Skyrim or DAI have a lot of glitches due to the vastness of the world. I personally don't have any problem with the game asides from some counterintuitive gameplay on PC.

I'm not getting glitches.  Long load times is not a glitch.  This is the worst looking game I've seen in a long time that is a new title and bad looking graphics is not a glich.  Maybe I made the mistake of getting one last game on the Xbox360 instead of PC.  But I can't stand the PC controls for DA:O and DA2, which was another factor in getting the older gen version.

I have both PC and Xbox360 copies for DA:O and DA2 and the ME trilogy. I dislike the controls so much I've never finished a play through on PC for either DA title.

If BW attempts to fix the issues, I might consider buy any DLC they release in the future, but if not, they'll never get another dime of my money for this title.

The game gets better once u get used to the 'awful controls', 'tactical camera' and "<60 fps stability". And believe me, most people get used to these things once they are able to immerse in the story.

people who don't try to and just 'losers' and give up rather easily and think they are self-entitled. then again, it is not wrong really but people should play this game after Hinderlands quest and see for themselves.

That they are. Texture quality is very high practically everywhere (and the game is absolutely massive), facial animations are very solid as well, wet surfaces look absolutely amazing and so does the lighting. Shadow quality is good, but not amazing and the foliage looks fantastic.

It was a mistake for EA to release it on old consoles - they don't have the kind of hardware necessary to run the game of this graphical fidelity and scope.

I can't judge the game as a whole unless I've finished it.

I may be the only person troll enough to point this out but: That shows a lack of wisdom on your part, not intelligence.

Being unable to make a decision before the time to make a decision is past may actually be a problem with the development of this game.

Just saying.

I suppose the vote is: not good enough.  Would that make sense? Your vote would then be good enough.

Once those votes are tallied, then a message will be received.

But I certainly want more of this to happen in the future,

and the cost and scope of something like this means only the very large and very wealthy companies can ever afford to do it.

That would be your vote. Others might not want to give the same impression by simply posting locked threads on the Internet.

As for the second part:

https://www.kickstar...ome-deliverance

You are wrong.

It seems odd to me that some people hate this game so much.  0o   I mean, hey, if you don't enjoy it you're welcome to do whatever you want with it.

I'll admit I'm rather confused by some of these reactions though; mainly because I actually love the game.  Sure it's buggy at times, but none of the bugs (save for the specialization quest - if it is actually a bug) so far have really hampered anything.  Most of them (especially the specialization quests) I'm sure will be patched rather soon.  Since none of them are game-breaking I don't really mind.  I actually find some of the graphical glitches amusing at times - and leaping shot sending me flying around every now and then hasn't done too much other than disorient me for a second or two.

As for the game itself - so far the story seems great, the dialogue choices are fantastic, choices from previous games are handled extremely well, and the game is expansive and easy to get lost in for a long time.  Hell, I'm over 50 hours in and I'm still only level 11; working on getting my specialization.  I just keep picking up sidequests, exploring, and it's apparent by my quest journal and maps, I've only *barely* started to scratch the surface of the game.

Only real gripes I have with the game are the lack of AI customization for party members (which we've known about), and how there isn't a physical or in-game manual.  And all of that is rather irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

If you don't like the game that's cool - we all have our own tastes and opinions.  Personally, I have no intention of returning this.  Ever.  :)

Luckily I have had later release living in Europe so after reading how the game has multiple bugs and issues on PS3 I cancelled my preorder. I will buy the game later on, when it actually has been patched in playable state and when price has dropped. No reason to buy it right now without even knowing if you can get past title screen.

Yup, got my refund. As a lover of DAO and as a PC Gamer this was just way too much to just swallow down. The bugs (like for instance the game randomly switching fullscreen and windowed mode or my character deciding he is transgender and rather be referred to by female personal pronouns) are to be expected however annoying.

But the bad game design (no click to walk, slow and clunky looting, stupid loot scanning which already sucked in witcher 2, no tactics, no tactical mode worth the name, no autoattack, no way to control the party as a whole, no way to import my DAO and DA2 saves, the hilariously unusable inventory and so on and so on) are just unbelievable. It's like they looked at every complaint people had with DA2 and were like "how can we make it even worse for them this time around? let's royally screw them just for laughs". I understand the focus for development has shifted towards consoles but a consistent Mouse + Keyboard control cannot be too much to ask. If it is too much to ask then my money will stay in my pocket and rightly so.

I will simply play DAO once again (I even bought the origin version a few weeks back because I knew DA2 and DAI would never come to steam and wanted to have it all in one place) because even after having invested upwards of 500 hours on it over my steam and origin versions it's still SO much better. I will start to accept that I will never, ever get a game that good again. Not from bioware or any other game developer. It's just literally game over for anyone who liked the tactical play of DAO.

I will keep it (couldn't return it if I wanted too anyway; 3rd party key) but it's still not pulling me in. I find some things are fun and the rest is just off; combat is whack! This may be one of those games I need to put down and come back to in a year. As I was running around in DAI I couldn't help but to think of another game; Ultima 9. That game is 15 years old so some of you here may have not been born yet, lol. Anyway that game was broken from the start and there were many complaints. EA/Origin released 2 patches and said thats it, closed down the forums, Richard Garriott (Lord British) left and Origin closed its doors. This may be an unfair comparision but it's just what I think of when playing DAI.

You know except for the fact that it isn't false advertising....

Everything they used to promote the game was from next gen consoles, PC, or was enhanced.

Just like every other game that is marketed to the public.

Clearly you misunderstand the term. Here, let me paste this for you:

False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising, and misrepresentation of the product at hand, which may negatively affect many stakeholders, especially consumers.

So, they never ever say "Oh, by the way, if you're buying this game on the XBOX 360 it's going to look like a massive pile of sh!t - nothing like these pictures in the slightest" Nope, definitely didn't see them saying that in their trailer. Nor did they say "This game is going to be next to impossible to use because it's full of glitches and bugs. The characters will appear and disappear at random, you won't be able to load saved games and it'll crash frequently" Why? Because if they did nobody would be buying the game on the 360.

What most simply refuse to acknowledge is that I'm not saying the game is rubbish for those of you on the Xbox One or the PS4. You've got a good product and I'm happy for you. You got your money's worth. I didn't. We spent £50 on a game that doesn't function, but that's MY fault apparently, for believing that when you purchase something it should work. I'm the idiot for thinking Bioware would be able to produce at least something of DA:2 quality. This is not.

If you google the differences between Destiny on Xbox One and Xbox 360, you'll see for yourselves that is actually achievable to release a game on both old generation and next generation consoles without completely "scaling it down" or whatever phrase it is that people on here like to use, to where it looks like something from the early 90's.

And I'd just like to point out that I don't read reviews pre-game purchase because I don't like it to cloud my judgement of a game. I try to avoid negatives because I want to form my own opinions. If I'd read the reviews of ME3 before I bought it, I would have seen a lot of angry and damning things being said which I found to be completely untrue. This game was released yesterday in the UK, so my husband surprised me with it thinking it'd be alright. I didn't care much for DA2, but I wanted to be open minded about this. And here we are now. It's aggravating.

They've said they are releasing patches for it and I really hope that's the case. I want to give this game a fair crack, but right now I can't do much with it at all.

Finally got my refund in, First things first, I loved Dragon Age: Inquistaiton. The biggest downfall of the game was it's use of the denuvo DRM system. We know the facts but still the feeling that the guys behind SecuROM just made me feel uncomftable with having the game installed. It feels as if EA believes i'm going to tamper or damage the exeucatable file.

I just feel like I'm being treated like a criminal for buying the game.

I plan on buying this game over the next few months (hopefully after all this hype has died down and the first patches have come out). I'm curious to know if it's possible to buy a used version of the game or once a key is used, that's it, it can no longer be resold?

I can't play more that 10 minutes without the game crashing to my desktop for no reason. Still, I've enjoyed it from what I've played and I'm going to stick around until they fix all the bugs so I can play without worrying that I'll crash.
