I will keep it (couldn't return it if I wanted too anyway; 3rd party key) but it's still not pulling me in. I find some things are fun and the rest is just off; combat is whack! This may be one of those games I need to put down and come back to in a year. As I was running around in DAI I couldn't help but to think of another game; Ultima 9. That game is 15 years old so some of you here may have not been born yet, lol. Anyway that game was broken from the start and there were many complaints. EA/Origin released 2 patches and said thats it, closed down the forums, Richard Garriott (Lord British) left and Origin closed its doors. This may be an unfair comparision but it's just what I think of when playing DAI.

If I thought I had a chance of a refund I think that I would.  This game so far has no soul, and I cannot find any connection to any of the characters or story.  I already have Skyrim, why would I want another.  This is not Dragon age.

I hope Mass Effect doesn't go down the same road.

Goodbye, BioWare!

You were one of my favorite studios for almost 13 Years...

But the BioWare I knew and loved is gone!

Shameless people have taken over and are shoving console §$!% in our faces!

R.I.P

It's not bad enough to return really. I am just disappointed and need to complain a bit <_< . But, I do find myself not wanting to play it very much either. That's telling me to move on and come back later when hopefully the communities concerns are addressed.

I got my refund after playing 4 hours on the PC.

Combat is not fun at all with the mouse and keyboard.

I really loved DA1 and even DA2 combat.

Combat is a huge leap backwards for PC users. There was so much more control over everything in DA1 and DA2.

So disapointed..maybe they will fix the interface enough to make combat halfway decent.

I guess Dragon Age is another console dumbed down game now.

Unfortunately I just requested my refund.  I was very excited for Inquisitions release and am hugely disappointed now that I've had a chance to play it. I tried very hard to like this game, but there is a problem when you have to actively have to try to have fun in a game.  I feel very disconnected from the world and characters in it.  The combat on PC is terribly clunky, which I chalk up to the poorly implemented control scheme.  Overall I am unimpressed with the design choices in this game and the direction BioWare seems to be trending.

I will simply play DAO once again (I even bought the origin version a few weeks back because I knew DA2 and DAI would never come to steam and wanted to have it all in one place)

The Steam version of Origins comes with a CD key that you can register on Origin. You didn't need to buy it again.

False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising, and misrepresentation of the product at hand, which may negatively affect many stakeholders, especially consumers.

I am very sorry if you feel that you were mislead somehow.

But the fact remains that the material they advertised was CLEARLY either off of the PC or off of next gen consoles.

To expect anything close to what was shown out of a last gen console is just pure ignorance.

Back to Origins I guess and play it again for the thousandth time.  I really can't be bothered playing anymore of this Inquisition tripe.

I never said I wanted something close to what next gen consoles can offer. I said I wanted and expected something equivalent to DA2. And playable.

Well, I never demanded a refund for the abomination that was ME3, so why should I for an excellent game like this?

"'tis most confusing", Morrigan might say ...

Just curious how many others are so disappointed (doesn't really say it right, more like disappointed and downright furious) that they decided to request a refund?

For those that didn't, and are thinking about it still, I encourage you to do so since it's really the only thing that will make the publishers take notice (although, the user reviews on Metacritic are hilariously negative except those which seem to be basically from "people who don't like RPGs". Maybe EA will notice that too. Wait, who am I kidding, they'll notice money and nothing else...)

If they fix it, whether that's in a few days, or a few months, then I'll purchase it again. Seems like the logical way to send a message about the type of quality control deemed acceptable...

Dragon age inquisition is FRIKIN AWESOME

got released in new zealand on friday been playing it ever since, all weekend haven't slept, turned down a fk saturday night to keep playing it

awesome game

Clearly you misunderstand the term. Here, let me paste this for you:

False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising, and misrepresentation of the product at hand, which may negatively affect many stakeholders, especially consumers.

So, they never ever say "Oh, by the way, if you're buying this game on the XBOX 360 it's going to look like a massive pile of sh!t - nothing like these pictures in the slightest" Nope, definitely didn't see them saying that in their trailer. Nor did they say "This game is going to be next to impossible to use because it's full of glitches and bugs. The characters will appear and disappear at random, you won't be able to load saved games and it'll crash frequently" Why? Because if they did nobody would be buying the game on the 360.

What most simply refuse to acknowledge is that I'm not saying the game is rubbish for those of you on the Xbox One or the PS4. You've got a good product and I'm happy for you. You got your money's worth. I didn't. We spent £50 on a game that doesn't function, but that's MY fault apparently, for believing that when you purchase something it should work. I'm the idiot for thinking Bioware would be able to produce at least something of DA:2 quality. This is not.

If you google the differences between Destiny on Xbox One and Xbox 360, you'll see for yourselves that is actually achievable to release a game on both old generation and next generation consoles without completely "scaling it down" or whatever phrase it is that people on here like to use, to where it looks like something from the early 90's.

And I'd just like to point out that I don't read reviews pre-game purchase because I don't like it to cloud my judgement of a game. I try to avoid negatives because I want to form my own opinions. If I'd read the reviews of ME3 before I bought it, I would have seen a lot of angry and damning things being said which I found to be completely untrue. This game was released yesterday in the UK, so my husband surprised me with it thinking it'd be alright. I didn't care much for DA2, but I wanted to be open minded about this. And here we are now. It's aggravating.

They've said they are releasing patches for it and I really hope that's the case. I want to give this game a fair crack, but right now I can't do much with it at all.

Here, this might evidence your argument: http://www.videogame...nquisition.html

I just feel like I'm being treated like a criminal for buying the game.

or for asking for a refund - as I read the reactions from some on the forum here.

Twitter or who Mike Laidlaw is? From the Wiki; "Mike Laidlaw is the Lead Designer of the Dragon Age series. Prior to his work on Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, Mike played a key role in the development of other BioWare titles, such as Jade Empire, Mass Effect, and Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood" So, Pen was suggesting if you got a complaint why not take it to the source?

DA:I so far feels more epic than DA:O and DA2 combined.

The only issue I have is that the controls are so obviously made for console controllers. Other than that, great game, good story, nice characters (though I prefer the NPC's from DA2).

-Terrible terrible Frame drops (getting better over time for some reason)

- Being forced to use a Gamepad just to have direct control on my Character(Can be solved by linking the camera similar to most MMOs,

An Example would be Tera online a great example of Action-Hotkey Combat)

-Sound cuts off for some reason during combat which makes everything strange.

-Complete lack of hair

-Complete lack of variety in outfits (when your party has 3 or more of the same outfit it should be a given. even the same outfit with

different style of wearing it adds variety)

-Multiplayer does not verify Syncing during or before match start.

But i still stick with it because The game Overall is a good game. Just some choices are bad and the game was released way to early and should have been delayed for big fixing.

Also it seems strange but as a play it more, Slower i can raise the Graphics higher fitting my computer specs (Max settings) but ambient occlusion seems to cause massive issue but only were the effect is strongly present. Bioware may want to look at the Lighting in case its causing issues.

Yes, i`ve requested my refund.

It is a good game overall, better than DA2. (And i loved the DA:O)

But i TOTALLY can`t stand the PC controls, they are made of 100% pure frustration.

I would love to repurchase the game but ONLY as soon as Bioware fixes the PC controls:

* Tactical camera is too zoomed-in. What is the purpose of the tactical cam if you can`t see both your character(s) and the enemies on a single screen 80% of the time. Also sometimes in small areas the cam can`t just zoom out at all and shows me the head of my character. The camera angle is bad too. It shouldn`t be that top-down. Some DA:O angle is appreciated, thank you.

* Switching to tactical camera must visually remove some objects from the screen that block vision for the player. (like tree leaves, building roofs, etc).

* Tac camera must not move to other characters when i switch them using the portraits.

* You must be able to freely move Tac camera around by moving the mouse to the edge of the screen. Without getting stuck in terrain. And get rid of the consolish cursor in the middle of my screen.

* Click to move, click to move and interact, click to move and autoattack. These DEFINITELY should be present in both Tac cam and Normal cam.

* An option to switch the mouse 1 and 2 buttons in Tac-cam only AND leave them as they are in normal cam. Why would i want to use different mouse buttons to attack in two different camera modes? Why??

* Character should be more responsive to player`s commands. Character often utilize long shiny animations just to show off how cool they are, and you cant interrupt that animations to make the characters react to some event in combat. I.e. if you started swinging your magical staff with all that cool-stylish-mage animations, you can`t cancel the attack to move if that`s necessary. Well, you can actually interrupt the animations by jumping, but that`s stupid.

* Command buffer is too annoying. When you press and hold the left mouse button to attack and then release the button, the character sometimes attacks one or two more times than i wanted him to. Regardless of me pressing some of the WASD buttons to move him. This is especially frustrating with 2 handed weapons when a single swing with a huge hammer takes a lot of time.

Because you are not on xbox 360. Go look at an xbox 360 version and then try telling me they are "incredible"

Why would you play on a 360? might as well play on a calculator.

Requested a refund from Amazon for my Xbox 360 Deluxe Edition; all I have to do is mail it back. I'm pretty sure I mentioned before that I was just getting this to tide me over until I could afford a PS4. I had no problem re-buying the game for a next-gen console and I still don't. I just didn't expect the 360 version to be damn near unplayable (and actually unplayable from what I'm reading in some posts). The game I got just wasn't worth the $60 I paid for it. I'll be more than happy to buy it again later for another system.

No, starting to wish I had though. The freezing during the main menu and conversations is making playing the game a nightmare. I've got 16 hours in game and haven't even been able to finish the Hinterlands because of it and I'm generally a fast player =/

I was hoping they would get this problem sorted out quickly but I guess I was wrong.

I'll buy it for the PC if and when the controls improve to my satisfaction. In the meantime, I'll be repurchasing the game for PS4 on December 1st. I'm still really looking forward to playing it.
