Is there an issue with my game or are the Flames of the Inquisition armor really not upgradable...? And sucks that there were no Qunari Flames of Inquisition helm if you chose Qunari, you would think they would of let you... :(

I do hope it's upgradable at least once because I barely wore for that long till I found a better armor schematic in haven--which also means I basically only wore it in Haven till I made the better armor--since the jump in armor was basically 20 points. :o

Also does anybody know if we could equip our party members with the other Inquisition weapons, if it's even possible? :/

Thanks

I heard that you get schematics once you get Skyhold to craft the Deluxe items, so you can keep the appearance, but with better stats. Can't confirm personally yet though.

Ohh that would be awesome! So much better than wasting it in being able to only wear it in Haven... Lol. By the way not sure if you stayed in haven long enough but around haven there were a couple chests and notes/books that you could of picked up which gave you relatively good gear for a starting level of 3--armor schematic is 86 (I think)--and a dagger for 126 dps. Plus if you're a rogue you can pick the jails at the bottom of the citadel and loot the notes and chest.

the thing is, they are still awesome.

for example, for my mage robes, the materials that go into mage robes (leather/cloth) dont actually generally give magic or willpower or attack (i.e. damage), so if i make a mage robe all the magic/will etc. will have to come from the upgrades, which also don't really use metal much, if at all. The Dragon armor however, always has a standard metal component, which makes sure at every time i'm using it because it gives loads of good stats from the metal. For example right now, i have a whole load of max health on my tier 3 dragon armor which wouldn't be possible on any other mage armor schematics i have.

At certain points in the game you get craftable upgrades for all the dragon armors and weapons.

Don't know if it's level based or story progression based though.

I can confirm that! You get the schematics once the first act ends, you'll be able to chose the stats along side of the colors of the armors and flame weapons.

You get tier 3 schematics of all the Dragon armor/weapons later as well. I'm not sure if it's tied to level 15 or going to Celene's ball (since I hit level 15 at the ball), but they'll be in the delivery chest.

I can confirm that you get 3 upgrades for the gear.

1 - When you complete tutorial - you get tier 1 delivered to you.

2 - When you get Skyhold - you get tier 2 schematics

3 - When you complete a certain quest in Orlais, you get Tier 3.   <-- This tier is what I have at the moment - is there a tier 4?

Combined with the masterwork corrupting rune : I managed to get a Tier 3 Mages Stave that is doing about 170-198 Cold DPS  (Im nearly sure it was 198)

I used it last night to do immense damage to a certain cold vulnerable dragon in Hinterlands and killed the beast- Recorded the death on my PS4 - Will upload later.

No, tier 3 is the max. According to the Codex, blue for T-2 and purple for T-3.

You sure about the timing for Tier 3? I have finished the ball, and am level 18... haven't got Tier 3 yet.

I wonder... maybe you have to complete both of the story quests that are available at the same point before you get T3. Because I have not done the other yet.

I answered my own question; to obtain the 3rd tier schematics, you have to complete BOTH main quests that are available at that point.
