No we're still waiting for BioWare to acknowledge her existence but they're supposed to have something real soon. Two weeks ago they said there'd be more DLC in "a couple of weeks" and they confirmed that the Cerberus armor and shotgun were NOT it. At this point two things seem likely.....either Kasumi or the Hammerhead...if we're lucky it'll be both but I doubt it. Still I'm hoping that maybe the two are tied together somehow like maybe we can obtain the Hammerhead from her loyalty mission or something.....unlikely but I can hope.

Zaeed's unique power was awesome to use in big fights, and because I prefer the Infiltration class, I think Kasumi would be a good asset to the team. Her, Legion, and I would be the ultimate team.

Kasumi herself won't appear outside of the suicide mission until BW eventually gets around to either saying she's not going to get here, or give us the DLC for her. When she does however, I'm guessing she'll be in the opposite Observation deck from Samara, since that's the last room on the ship that we can't access.

Who says Kasumi is even a girl? Kasumi could be a placeholder name that Bioware came up with until they reveal the actual character.
where would she stay at in the ship btw?
jacks in the basement
talis in the engine room
samara is in star board observitory
legions in the ai core
miranda is by the fuel pumps
etc etc
i notice theres 10 places for each crew member to have a room

I agree. Honestly, I don't really care about this new character, I just want to see what unique power she has.

Zaeed is in the Port Cargo in Engineering (Deck 4) and the Port Observation is in the Crew Quarters (Deck 3).

One is Shade Strike. She uses the Infiltrator's Tactical Cloak. Once she does this, she is able to sneak behind her opponent and asassinate him from behind, then reappear on Shepard's side of battle.
Her other power is called FlashBang. It sends out flash grenades that immobilize and blind organic enemies and overloads the optics of synthetic enemies.
"A master thief. She is an intelligent and cunning woman who is able to bypass her enemy's defences and kill several opponents without firing a single shot. Her technical skills are a marvel, and she has stolen from Cerberus countless times before. Every time, guards, cameras, turrets, doors and other defences are all bypassed without us knowing how. Allowing Shepard to recruit her may solve two problems at once. Shepard gains a valuable and cunning member to fight the reapers, and we keep her away from our god-damned valuables."
"These people value their light. They don't have god-awful neon everywhere like Illium, or the Citadel."
Her full name is Kasumi Goto. Kasumi meaning "mist" (probably refering to her occupation as a thief) and Goto, being a common japanese surname meaning "Beyond the wysteria" as she prides on being unique. She comments on people who steal, saying that "I do what I do for the love of it. These people do it because... well, they don't know any better."
"You know what I haven't had in ages? Ramen. My grandmother used to make the best ramen, delicious! Come to think of it... I really should have stolen her recipe."
Kasumi uses a specialized rapid-fire silenced machine gun called the "Lotus" that is unlocked during her loyalty mission. Her mission consists of her and Shepard donning disguises and "purchasing" a painting from earth from a corrupt art dealer. The mission ends up with the dealer inviting Shepard and Kasumi to his lavish mansion where a firefight ensues.
"Nice knife... looks really... silent."
This dlc is priced and costs 560 microsoft points. With good reason, this dlc dubbed "Kasumi's Stolen Memories" is priced because it adds a full two hours to the game's gameplay. She is a more developed dlc than Zaeed, so she may be different from his release. Fans have supported Miss Goto's release to the point that Bioware may spend extra funds to create a dialogue tree for Kasumi, resulting in more in-depth conversation. If this happens, game designers say that it would be in the form of a future dlc and would be priced (Due to the funds needed to bring Kasumi's voice actor back into the studio). However, Kasumi does fully interact with other members of the Normandy and is no less a full member of Shepard's Reaper-Fighting repitoire. Sources say no matter what happens to Kasumi's dlc in ME2, she will be a romance option or continue to be a romance option in ME3, assuming things go according to plan production-wise and Kasumi survives the game.
"That's neural decay? Huh. Looks like plain old crazy to me."
The Master Thief will sneak her way into your heart and complete Shepard's dirty dozen on April 6th after the release of the new Firewalker dlc that comes out mid to end March.
"Waiting on you again, Shep. Don't leave me hanging here!"

She doesn't show anywhere else. Even though Chambers talks about her.
Also, don't be disappointed. She her beta looks entirely different than the real one. Her beta has short hair and no hood, as well as different armor. Here is a vid of her actual look.

I'm not so sure about the Kasumi dialogue tree dlc from the said "interview", but I just wanted you to know the possibilities. And that fans support that opportunity. Hudson (a rep of ME2) says that this new dlc doesn't tweak the game engine but allows new styles of design, so I'm hoping that other dlc's might. Kasumi would be a lovely romance option.
