I've explored the entire hinterlands and cleared everything aside from the level 12 stuff. I have no idea where I am supposed to go. I can't take on this level 12 stuff on nightmare at level 8, I'll get wrecked.
where do you go at level 8?

At this point you should advance the story a bit. Recruit Sera, Vivienne and Blackwall. They all are recruitable once you head over to Val Royeaux in Orlais. After that it's all a matter of looking around to see what you can do at your current level

Im kind of in the same boat, i have recruited all those people mentioned but i want to advance teh story by going to meet with the mages but you cant seem to get passed that damn dragon blocking the way.
