Sera's was hardly freaky/gratuitous (to me) but I guess that depends on what you consider as such.

Anyway, Josephine's scenes are fine, they not changing it, stop necroing the thread, etc.

My question is not really about sex-scene/no-sex-scene, but probably it's connected, so I ask here:

 

- I read very often about Josephine and a "disney'ish" or "fairytale" romance.

Is that connected of the "Just a kiss scene"?

 

I'm asking since for me disney/fairy tale is pretty much... "They finally get together right before the credits roll down", which would mean they actually become a couple pretty much when the game is almost over, and no more romantic feelings after that.

Not to be missunderstand: I like such romances, but at the same time I'm in the trouble of having to choose between Cass and Josie at the moment, since I'm pretty sure I will never play the story more than once (I'm just bad at playing games more than once which are over ~40 hours).

No, you and Josephine can become a couple pretty soon after getting to Skyhold. It's not a 'they aren't together until the end' thing. 

The whole it being a Disney or fairytale type romance is more how the story goes. I don't really want to spoil it for you, but there are themes in it you would see in Disney/fairytale stories.

I personally thought Josephine's romance was refreshing for this specific reason. Sex scenes and the overt sexualised fanservice in Mass Effect had a way of making me feeling slightly uncomfortable having said that it's a personal thing and I'm glad BioWare are being diverse with not only romance it seems but the complexity of their characters and putting consideration into how their romance would play out.

i guess cassandra romance can be benefit from the no sex romance as jose romance. i say this because it would be more yearning and romantic but they add nudity unneccessaaryily. I disagree with the nudity and sex in most occassion.

If I were to be selfish and unrealistic about the amount of time, effort, and resources that would go into such a thing, I would want each romanceable companion to have a romance that didn't include a sex scene as well as one that did and we would be able to direct the preceding conversation (or the entire romance!?!) towards one or the other.  

 

Not that I mind the lack of sex scenes in some of the romances.  I mostly want this so I can see what Blackwall looks like under his coat.
