I told before game release advisers romances will be not even close to companions. All say wait until game release.I don't need wait, I was right. Josephine Disney romance worst in all DA games. :( Short compared to other and boring.

Not all romances have a sex scene. I thank Bioware for that. It shouldn't always be about sex.

Well technically it should be about what your Inquisitor and your potential romance make it about.  Kind of like Shepard and Jack in ME2, you could have the quickie and nothing else, or something more substantial by not making it about the sex right away. But like I said, it should be about what you as the player make it about.

I was actually quite disappointed at the lack of sex scene with Solas. While I felt the concept of the romance was really interesting, for me it lacked cutscenes overall, and yes, it did lack a sex scene and to me that made it feel poorer than others (like Cullen's).

I would be totally okay with an asexual romance, but as Solas' romance is not, so I would like to have that part addressed in a cut scene. And that doesn't mean "it's about the sex".

My human mage Inquisitor bromance was better when Joshephine romance. I hope we can help Solas.

That only works if the other is offering sex. The reason for Jack's "quickie" was because she offered; Josephine, as far as we know, hasn't offered herself to the Inquisitior. Not to mention it is a bit strange to give the player the complete control over what an NPC character says about sex.

That wasn't what I was saying.  I was just saying that there were multiple ways for the relationship to develop and just used that as an example.  That's how all of them should be written if you're going to have romances in the game IMHO.

Having multiple choices on how to develop a relationship is fine. I just don't see the reason why every romance has to have some form of sex in it.

What % of romances in real life have some form of sex in them at some point?

What % of romances involve elves, dwarves, and/or tall people with horns?

Based on the fact that none of these races have died out from lack of procreation my question stands.

You're question was "what % of romances in real life have some form of sex in them" and I essentially responded with "Dragon Age isn't real life."

Besides, just because one couple is having sex doesn't mean every other couple is or even needs to have sex.

Why do players need to see an explicit sex scene? Can you not just infer that the relationship progresses at whatever speed the PC and LI deem appropriate?

The lack of such scenes, in addition to the possibility of turning down sex (Sera/Dorian) while still maintaining the relationship, allow for a more diverse player experience. Not everyone wants to make the romance about sex. Some players want to rp an asexual or chaste romance. Some players want to head canon Josie and Quizzy getting married before finally consummating their love.

If you can't use your imagination to fill in the alleged gaps in your own playthrough, I suggest you find another game, or watch some porn, or maybe get naked with a real person. Lots of options.  :)

But the couples decide, that's my point.  I'll never understand the I don't think it should be that way in my game, so it shouldn't be that way in any game attitude, or the resistance to having options.  If I was saying sex should be forced on everyone in every game, then I could see your point.  But why anyone would have an issue with letting the player have options to take the relationship as far as they would like is mind boggling, honestly.

And Josephine and the Inquisitior either decided to wait or Josephine is both bi and asexual. I don't understand why people feel this need to see nudity or sex in a game for interacting with characters when those interactions should be a reward by itself. I don't need to see Cassandra naked to have enjoyed seeing her as a hopeless romantic that can still kill dragons, giants, and demons in one day.

This is a game with choices, so one approach could have been a dialogue choice:

  • bang
  • cuddle
  • review daily correspondence together and follow-up with filing...

(I am actually fine with the way BW did it, Josie is cute...)

So far I've romanced Cassie and Josie.  I have found both romance scenes very appropriate for each character.  No more, no less than what made them outstanding scenes.  If -all- you're interested in for the romance scenes is some T&A, I suggest maybe looking around the internet.  I hear there is actually porn out there.  Actually, I would also suggest maturing a few years, but that would probably be viewed as insulting, so I won't go there.  Oh... snap.

There's no need to insult people. I agree that people care a little too much for nudity in a game, but please be respectful.

I don't need to see nudity, whether it's Josephine, Liara in ME2 where you stay faithful and get nothing at all, at least until the DLC came out, or nudity, doesn't matter to me.  I'm just saying people should have the option to play their game the way they want to and have the romance progress to the point they want to. Still can't figure out how there is something wrong with a system that allows multiple ways to do something.

You said it would be wierd for the PC to decide what a NPC does, but then you say "And Josephine and the Inquisitor decided to wait", when obviously people are saying their Inquisitor decided no such thing.

I liked Josie's romance just fine?

A sex scene during the cuddle scene would've been awkward.

Plus headcanon beats anything man. She and my quizzy went at it after Cory was dead :P
