So any relationship that doesn't have people having sex within the first few months of knowing each other let alone being a couple is childish to you? Especially since they can be that intimate if the player wishes but it just doesn't show anything?
that is called head canon, the game gives no implication of intimacy. So no, you cannot say there is anything intimate except buddies sitting by the fire.
My comment was in response to the assertion that all female LI's were in some way "dark" like Morrigan or Isabela. Amoral or deeply flawed characters. I was citing several examples of female love interests that fit the "good girl" trope. More like Josephine.
And further down the page I did note that they did have sex, even mentioning that Aeirie could have a child. Though there was no cinematic scene for it. No pixel boobies that seem to define what a "true" romanceis now.
Good enough, though one could argue that BG did not have sexual content because of the game´s build of that time. Had it been done now I would claim that it would have been included.
Context you need it or not

I don't know if this means anything but I just have to comment.. this thread has totally won in lurker status it's got like 23k views for like 100 responses or something...
I don't know what that means anyway... maybe a lot of people were really curious if there was a sex scene with Josephine...

Red Ending — No lovemaking with Josephine.
Green Ending — Lovemaking with Josephine.
Blue Ending — You may or may not have lovemaking with Josephine. It depends on the DLC.
*cough*
Well playedInquisitor had not completed all the necessary paperwork.
That's the problem with forms, it's easy to miss a box...
They- they can't do this! I would lose hours of my life filing paperwork with JosieThis is a game with choices, so one approach could have been a dialogue choice:
(I am actually fine with the way BW did it, Josie is cute...)
- bang
- cuddle
- review daily correspondence together and follow-up with filing...
First off, I've been a Bioware fan for as long as they have existed, and I certainly don't think they've lost their niche. You're entitled to your opinion, but that's all it is.
Secondly, I'd love to see a DLC filled with musical numbers. In fact, I bet the writers at Bioware could write a fantastic musical if they were given the chance. Just think of how much more epic the ending would have been if it had played out in a musical number.
If any writer at Bioware reads this: song and dance DLC. Make it so!
Do you often lay your head lovingly on your buddies shoulder with your hand on their chest? To me, that's pretty intimate.that is called head canon, the game gives no implication of intimacy. So no, you cannot say there is anything intimate except buddies sitting by the fire..
1) This isn't Witcher. This is Dragon Age. As I bought Dragon Age and not Witcher, I couldn't give two spits for what some other game (in this case, this Witcher game) does. Why bother buying Dragon Age if you expect it to be something else? Just go buy the something else.
2) They're romance scenes, not sex scenes. If the only thing that will satisfy you is pixelated T&A, I am sure you can find that in other corners of the internet. Knock yourself out. Cassie's has some nudity, Josie's does not, and I thought each was done quite nicely for the character being romanced.
You do realize you sound like a five year old right? xD
What is the thread about? Sex scenes. What am I talking about? Sex scenes. How am I doing it? By making comparisons with another game I like. I loved Inquisition, but it's true that there are no good sex scenes in it. And I don't really care about it, but since this is the topic I merely gave my opinion.
Grow a little before posting on the internet, my friend.
wow calm down I was already wondering where the anti witcher people would be
He just said that TW has better sex scenes and why shouldn't he buy the game? we are only talking about sex scenes here definitely not a deal breaker don't get so defensive
And since when can't games borrow ideas from others? Hell DA:I did it (Skyrim especially)
This \o/
There are reasonable people.
Jeez.
No, her romance is the Disney romance you may have read about under that moniker.
There's a heavily implied scene, but apparently nothing explicit.
Most of the "fanservice" is apparently designed more for female and LBGT players. (Nothing wrong with that necessarily, just an observation)
Actually yes, there are a lot of things wrong with that, as shown by the miles of complaints (some of them by me) in this forum and outside of it: youtube, twitter, etc. Is like if Inquisition is developed with the goal in mind of focusing more on female heterosexual, male and female homosexual and bisexual players than male heterosexual players, and one of the indicatives is the POOR in caps romances that male heterosexual players get, with the two ugliest women of the game (on of them resembling more a man than a woman) and one of them being a Disney romance about blue princes, duels for love, disney kiss and eternal love, more suitable for a female audience than a male one.
I don´t have any problem with EA trying to clear their deserved "Worst Company of the World" image with, amongs other things, a good approach to LBGT players and female players because, you know, that´s cool. My problem is with EA basically screwing male heterosexual players in a lot of design decisions in this game.
I've look at my character's romance with Josephine the same way my Shepherd romanced Tali in Mass Effect. More emotional connection rather than physical (maybe an expansion will handle that who knows?) I'm also only about half way through the game so there may be something else.
I did enjoy the relationship story though, especially duelling an antivan noble for her honour/right to her affection. Then her public outburst in the middle of Val Royeaux - completely unashamed to be breaking so many 'rules' of Orlesian nobility etc.
I haven't experienced any other romances so I can't comment on whether it's "as good" or not. But I haven't felt like I've missed out by not having a sex scene just yet. It feels more like an epic romance tale from the medieval times (fitting considering who she and and what her personality is like).
Tali's romance was way more emotional than physical if you played as Femshep.
Do you often lay your head lovingly on your buddies shoulder with your hand on their chest? To me, that's pretty intimate.
Do you slow dance with them?
Do you kiss them?
Ymmv
The slow dance and kiss are actually more intimate than the fireplace scene. The whole Josephine "romance" is even more broken than Kelly Chambers which actually felt like one compared to this disney love in a supposedly mature game.
This pisses me off! There are no good characters for flirt with or have sex with, no Isabella or Morrigan, or even Leliana (in a pinch), and the only character you can have sex with who isn't Dogeared fugly doesn't even have a sex scene?! Sorry, but when you are saving the world, you expect a little more than that! Storywise, this game sucks!!!!!
'I find some characters ugly and think that women are the only romance options n the game' = 'The game has a bad story'
ok
Guest_Donkson_*
I don't see what the big deal is, personally...
If the romance options appeared "ugly" to me, I'd just play single or pick one for the sake of getting the trophy, even if they weren't attractive to me...
In fact, this is what my plan was until I met Sera. ![]()

The story sucks because you don't get thirty seconds of Josephine's boobs?
If it's really that important to you, I'd suggest playing a female PC and romancing Sera.

Or a female npc romancing blackwall, and probably others.

Maybe the reason you desire to see her breasts over the others is precisely because she possesses the ability to keep her clothes on?
I think the issue here is not the lack of sex scene, but the lack of wardrobe. Maker, that dress....
Josephine's dress > Inquisitor pajamas
On a more serious note I liked Josephine's character design. She looks appropriately 'old world,' which fits the setting. It looks like it was based on stuff like this:

Admittedly...
I think the dress is what put me off. ![]()

Alternatively, take the names of the RGB endings from ME3 and give them a new twist;
Destroy - Destructo-Nookie with Josephine, order new bed afterwards.
Synthesis - Make love like this was an adult Disney movie, afterwards wonder where the flowers and singing birds came from?
Control - Take some Sub-Dom tips from Iron Bull, the safe word is "Madrigal".
