it means i can't map the rest of the power to the key binding?
so i waste the skill point ?

More than four powers could give you more flexibility to your power loadout. On the other hand, every additional power is 1-2 skill points that you can't put into useful passives.
To be fair they could just assign the potion quick menu to the left bumper, the current health potion hotkey, and leave left trigger for swapping between ability sets. Since you can map the same ability multiple times I don't see the harm in giving us the option to use more than 4 abilities, especially due to the 20 skill point restriction. This would also make the abilities found early in the trees far more useful and provide the space to use the movement abilities as well. While I could see the 4-ability limitation as forcing difficult choices, only having 20 skill points does that anyway.

i feel the same way, i use xbox controller on PC
why not the same as single play so we can swap the power set , get maximum 8 power
use directional pad (d-pad) to use consumable item like most of the games are
i don't find conversion key on d-pad is useful apart from the waypoint function
but this can be replaced by pressing analog button(hold down)
Even without placing potions on the d-pad you can use the bumper to hotkey health potions (tap) or bring up the quick menu (hold). Still, I think the 4 ability limit is there to make each build unique, not because it would be impossible to implement. It was a design decision, for better or worse.
This is turning me off from multiplayer. I didn't find this out until I had already spent the ability point on an ability I have no room for-- and let's not forget I can't get the point back because you can't ****** re-spec.
Thanks Bioware for putting out a half-assed MP.
Yeah, in ME3 MP the respec wasn't as big of an issue since you could reach the level cap and promote without too much effort or time. For DAMP, this is not the case since it takes considerably longer to reach level 20. While making meaningful decisions is important, the lack of a respec for your characters was a huge oversight. I don't want the drop pool diluted further so I think just making a respec cost a fixed amount of gold would be the best choice (not like cards in ME3 MP). Making it cost 2,000 gold (or 100 gold per skill point) would prevent rampant respecs but still allow players to experiment a bit. In truth, DAMP is an open beta and we are the testers.

I'm not sure if this is the issue you're talking about but - Yes, there are only 4 mappable ability slots in Multiplayer. If you've bought more than 4 abilities in your tree, lets say you bought 6, you can't map all 6 but you can map any combination of those six. To map an ability to your battle menu with a controller highlight the ability in the skill tree and there should be a button callout to map the ability to your battle menu. Its a similar process on PC.
Sadly, they will probably just use respec cards to encourage purchasing chests (and because ME3 did it) even though spending gold or platinum would be far simpler.
