What kind of ''built it junk'' could I have ? The PC is two weeks old. I installed CIV, Europa Universalis IV, WOW, Heartstone and Office.
Prebuilt computers often have a lot of unnecessary software on them, put there by the manufacturer. So even a brand new computer can be full of programs the user didn't install and doesn't need.
It's not your fault that you're having these issues.
Companies that make prebuilt gaming computers advertize them as magic wizard boxes that will run every game without problems and without forcing the user to troubleshoot. But troubleshooting is a fact of life with PCs, even custom ones with good components.
If a few crashes put you in fear of damaging your PC, you'll probably be happier with a console. They work well out of the box, with much less troubleshooting.
This isn't a dig at your intelligence - part of the reason I can troubleshoot my PC is because I'm a software engineer. Being good with computers is literally my job. Not everyone has the time to become that specialized, and that's perfectly fine.
