OK I started a new game of Mass Effect 3 today..... I did the two comics at the start to set my decisions but in my game now I have no Jack....

Jack is a free spirit. I don't think it's up to us to decide where she goes.

You're probably gonna want to edit a save from before you play through Grissom Academy, though, cuz Jack doesn't really have a whole lot of content after that anyway, unless you have the citadel DLC.

Since DAI came out a couple of days ago, she decided not to be in ME3 and play DAI. 
She is currently out destroying demons

I know it that AdelaideJohn1967 is a PC player and thus would not be affected by this, but I can tell you that the Gibbed Save Editor definitely works for console as well as PC.
I know because I've used it for both my Xbox 360 and PS3 copies of the game [ME2's gibbed works for Xbox 360 and PS3 as well] 
What I'm not sure about is the Wii U version. I doubt Gibbed would work, but I don't have the "Special" Edition to try it with
Yeah, I was a little disappointed in the outcome of the comic being cut and dried as to who lives and dies with each of the choices. Basically, the only way to do a non-import ME3 game WITH Jack is to make the choices that save everyone.

Pick the options to recruit a lot of people, solve their problems, and ready the crew instead of going to the collector base right away. Jack should now be alive. The only two characters that aren't included in Genesis are Kasumi Goto and Zaeed Massani.
