Okay so I just got it. The weird stuff Cole is doing in Skyhold...in order to get an approval from him, you need to overhear gossip about the weird stuff...and then overhear gossip about something positive that comes out of it.

 

Like something silly like putting plum out....in order for spiders to come because healers need them. Or stealing daggers in order to prevent fights.

 

That's all nice and lovely.

 

However there is one that I can't "close" or it doesn't disappear from my wheel. He stole a block of cheese and mint (overheard from the kitchen). Apparently, the cats are happier (overheard from the bar).

 

So I confronted Cole with stealing the cheese...he said, yeah,...so I said, oh okay you're doing it for the cats...he was like, yeah...and then, it was still there and there was no approval gain.

 

Wondering if I'm doing it right.

There is an extra part to that dialogue (another star) if I recall

You need to overhear someone talking about mice as well ...this will allow you to finish the cat and cheese convo with Cole

So there's dialogue that the cats are dancing

 

And dialogue that the chef was so entertained by that that he stopped being so mean.

You need to hear an ambient dialogue about the Cook being happy. I Heard it in the Skyhold kitchens.
