I am hearing only terrible things about the 360 version.  This has me worried.  The plastic beard thing is already going to be a huge annoyance, but there seem to be many, many issues...  Should I brace myself for a Mass Effect 3 level disappointment, or is not that bad?  I've been looking forward to this game for awhile...

Depends on who you ask. To me it is not anything game breakable the stuttering was starting to get annoying so I re-installed the game, Seems to have worked. Granted I am now only a hour and a half in. Had it not worked I could of bit the bullet and played anyway. Bioware is supposed to be looking into things. Over all I am having fun. I can only speak for me though. Also never played Mass Effect 3. So I can't say. If you like Dragon Age and not afraid of trying something new and not DA:O I say it is worth the annoyances, and re-installing if need be. Oh if you re-install don't forget to re-download pre-order or deluxe items you have. I have played worse games where the patches just broke something not broke and weren't even a really good fix for what was broke in the first place. So even pre-patch DA:I is not as bad as some games I played. All I can say is try it and see what you think.

I'm playing on PS4 but my brother got it on 360. Here's what I saw when he played;

Outside of graphics being taking a hit (some characters' faces aren't on par with others & textures on some outfits being a bit weird), sound inconsistencies/lag (doesn't happen too often but it's there). Plastic hair is disappointing but for some reason some colors don't have it. Went with the darker brown and it looks somewhat decent.Loading takes a while. Other than that, the game seems to run properly. Text is annoyingly small too but that properly has more to do with his screen being relatively small.

I'm playing on 360 and have had no major issues. Beards are messed up, so I'm playing my stylish clean shaven noble first. Some hair colors are really shiny, but not all, so think about how much that will bug you while in cc. I had one stuttering issue that was annoying. The text is a little small, so I moved my couch. But, sometimes, Varric does the lollipop guild dance, which is hilarious! A patch to fix some of this would be nice, but you can play it with no problems, or I can anyway.

I'm having a lot of fun. I hope you do too.

Worse graphics small font. Longer loading. Besides that it's a same game and 9 hours in I had no large bugs. :).

It really isn't that bad man, I am enjoying it immensely on 360. I find it strange that people are complaining about loading, it isn''t as long as DA2 and the areas are so massive that you can play for 2 hours and not even run into a loading screen

Hey there, fellow Xbox 360 player here :)

If there's one thing you need to keep in mind, its that you need enough memory with the Xbox 360 hard drive (and memory cards/flash drives don't work). Trust me, I actually had to trade in a previous system and invest in a 250 GB to ensure it installs. So, make sure you have enough memory first and foremost.

As for the game itself, it took some getting used to (you really have to grow into the game, especially if you're used to Origins/DA2). If you enjoyed Dragon's Dogma or Kingdoms of Amalur then DAI will appeal to you gameplay wise. There *is* a lot of collecting and much of the focus is on open world running around.

There are times the graphics will briefly revert to the bare minimum/basics before fleshing out to full capacity. Since I'm not a graphics person it doesn't really bother me, but I know it can be an annoyance to others. Also, be prepared for some dialogue bugs (haven't encountered many aside from Dorian in Skyhold). For the most part, the game works fantastic though. Font *is* small though, and you may want to turn on subtitles since there is a lot of ambient dialogue. Make sure you have a TV with enough space and raise the lighting in options (namely for the character creation process). Colors are lighter in-game than they appear in the cc screen.

(Keep in mind if you have several world states you have to connect to XBL each time to import and that you must connect your gamertag to your Origin account. If it syncs automatically then you're good).

Had little problems with import bugs so far (they got my ruler of Ferelden and Hawke right as well as key decisions. Made a mistake on my Warden's gender but since they don't bring him up, one accidental slip is no biggie to me. To me I take it as a 'lost in translation' where someone assumed the Warden was a woman and got the gender wrong).

Currently loving this game in spite of some of these quips. Addictive really. :lol: .

Okay, those are overall comforting comments.  I just hope I am not one of the unlucky ones with unreadable disks and what not.  I'm used to small text with these games, and I can handle below average graphics (as long as my created character doesn't suffer TOO much for it).

One last question for all of you nice 360 users.  I have a 120GB HDD.  Is that going to be enough?  If not, then I will have to return my copy after it arrives.
