Hi,guys.

received my inquisitors edition yesterday afternoon. keyed in the code for preload  [im in uk by the way].it pre-loaded went to check everything this morning to play but then on close inspection and looking at a couple of unboxings on you tube.ive only been sent the normal version of the game not the deluxe version which should come with this collectors edition.i have sent gamestop  an email and its "being looked into" but it meams I cant really start the game until I get the proper version with the dlc etc..you would think that after paying out £129 for the top version of the game it would come with the proper version inside.

Talk to EA Help; one of their advisors should be able to help you. (They did me.)

contacted them  still no idea... I told the guy that id bought the inquisitors edition. but only received the normal version of the game. I told him I had got 1 code in the main game box  but no dlc codes which you get with the delux version.and that I had got another code in the steel case  which was for multiplayer etc but thats coming up as"unreleased" so I asked him if the problem with the second code was because I only had the normal and not the delux version insatalled? he didn't seem to know???..but told me to wait a couple of hours and try "unreleased"code again...so,he hasrt helped me at all

I will wait and see if no change in next hour I,ll get back to them its ridiculous ive spent a lot of money and only received the normal version of the game

I read that in some countries GameStop didn't send out the Inquisitor's Edition due to the lack of quality...

But I guess they would have informed you beforehand if that was the case?

ive had a ticket lodged with gamestop since early morning 21 November...just looked today if any update on it...as I haven't had any contact at all from them..when I looked at the ticket its now been closed and marked up as  "solved" ????????????

it hasn't been solved no contact with me no deluxe edition or codes  sent  nothing !!

ive lodged another ticket and told them if I don't get anything done in the next day or so im contacting trading standards and looking at legal action..its a lot of money £129 for only half the stuff your supposed to get......for gods sake don't buy from this company

Yup, Gamestop is terrible here. I ordered my inquisitors edition from them, and it arrived in pieces. You'll need to call them up by phone for any success.

Did you check that your IE really comes with all the Deluxe DLCs before you made the purchase/preorder?

Because the original IE concept was you get all the special IE goodies and the deluxe edition of the game, which in turn grants the deluxe DLCs. However the deluxe edition is only available as physical game in NA, so other countries couldn't do the IE as it was conceptionalized because they only had access to the standard game to ship with.

In some countries Gamestop got around that limitation by including the deluxe edition DLCs as additional codes for you to redeem on top of the standard game. In some other countries however that was not the case.

Are you 100% certain that your purchase came with those codes? Did you read the fineprint?

mmmm im sure when I went on there uk site to pre-order it  it had a lot of boxes ticked to say what was included in the ie to the normal and digital ones... but even so, surely they should have got back to me with some sort of reply?..not just close the ticket and mark it up as "solved"

if need be I could put the tarot cards on ebay to sell they are going for silly money:)...id get my money back that way

I had this happen to me too, though Gamestop said they had no codes to give out for IE edition. Speak with an EA agent and explain the situation to them, make sure you have your receipt as proof and they should be able to grant them to you.

Actually they (either gamestop or Bioware) have said the Inquisitor's Edition in other countries (besides the States and Canada) will receive the normal version of the game due to difficulties. So you got the correct copy, the Inquisitors only has the Deluxe stuff in NA. Sucks, but what can you do.

I imagine this is because of exclusivity deals.

GAME have exclusive rights to sell the deluxe edition.

Gamestop on the other hand have exclusive rights to sell the collector's edition (Inquisitor Edition).

Due to the exclusivity held by GAME, it is likely Gamestop weren't allowed to send out the deluxe edition.

This is my theory, however if this is the case, there is one major flaw in that the product description page for the collectors edition on Gamestop explicitly says: "Dragon Age Inquisition Deluxe Edition + Inquisitor Case"

My IE came with the deluxe version from Gamestop. It just depends on the country.

I also ordered the Inquisitors Edition, and the actual game disc box (which is fastened to a plastic sleeve on the outside of the dragon case was clearly marked labeled "Deluxe Edition".  However, the actual code # for the DLC (which is really just some early level armor & weapons, quite good, but early level) was not in that box.  It was however on a small 2"x5" card that was in the metal game case inside the large dragon case.  I went to the bioware site and redeemed the code, and all the appropriate items are in the game available in a chest after the initial starting quest with Cassandra.  Just thought some of you may have missed that.

ronniecross2-  Thank-you for that info, I just "assumed" that the items I got at level 1 were all that I would receive, didn't realize that there would be more later on.  I've been holding on to these level 1 items, thinking they might improve, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  At my current level (7) they are pretty much useless to me.  Do you think it's advisable to hold on to them, or sell them (starting to run out of inventory room frequently)?

just some early level armor & weapons

Actually, this isn't the case. You just haven't got all of it yet. The DLC seems to scale to the player's level, even though the equipment doesn't scale. While trying not to include spoilers, that's all I can say, as cryptic as it is. But it'll make more sense later in the game.

As your level/story progresses, schematic (and 'suberb' quality) versions of the Flames kit will become available. But only when you've reached them, content wise. They don't front-load the content.

Same with mounts. You don't unlock the DLC mounts until you get your first normal mount.
