I'm stuck trying to unlock a landmark door in the Western Approach. Behind it is a quest for Cassandra, Blackwall, and a campsite. It says I need a device to unlock the door. Where do I find the thing to unlock it?

You actually need a quest from later on. It takes you to some ruins in the very north that eventually open up on the other side of the gate. I think the quest pops up after you take the keep, but it might be something else.
