Playing on pc I was looking forward to multiplayer, but I was afraid the same connectivity problems from mass effect 3 would carry over into dragon age.

I was wrong ... it's even worse.

9 out of 10 times, I get disconnected if I try to join a quick match.

If I actually make it through, I will see nothing for five minutes while the rest of the party proceeds with the level. When the level finally appears, I get disconnected ten seconds later.

What the hell is this?

Haven't had the last part you describe but finding a stable lobby - yea, that's pretty much what I experience. I get "joining the match" and then a disconnect, when I hit the PuG - button.

And getting a game started as host is about as likely as finding snow in the Sahara desert.

I wondered about that - I stuck to a lobby a couple of times when two bailed out. I bailed, too, after 5 mins of waiting for new meat to join in.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe wait a few days and try again? I had a few rough times but nothing major like that.

BW has notoriously struggled with net code. It took a while for them to get the ME3MP running well, and even now its still far from perfect.

I'll try to find out what ports DAIMP uses, people may need to port forward to get the games working correctly.

also check to make sure you have firewall and anti-virus permissions set correctly. the could be causing the issues.

In my experience, time of day matters a LOT. If you try to play in the morning (US time zones) you'll struggle to get a group, but in the evening I have no trouble.

My favorite is after 20-30 minutes of hard work, getting none of the xp because it can't synch to server.

Either that or getting stuck on "joining the lobby" for 15 minutes with no timeout or way to cancel without alt-f4'ing the game.

One of those is definitely my favorite part of multiplayer.

Having to hard boot when getting the join stuck has made my vocal chords hoarse from yelling at the TV.

That @#&^!@ needs a fix, right @#&^% now.

From the sounds of it, the DAMP PC crowd is experiencing what the PS3 crowd experienced for ME3MP

My wife is like "you play games for fun, so if you're not having fun playing this game you should stop playing it"

It makes sense, but I'm so frustrated i just start flailing around like an ape pounding my keyboard and screaming, my dog head tilting at me wondering wtf is wrong with me, at which point she calls me a child.  And she's right.

DAMP is ruining my marriage!
