I hated you.

 

I hated your design.  I hated that condescending smirk when you first showed up in trailers.  I hated that you were so full of yourself, that you immediately put up a magically aura of "F**K Off."  I hated your "Breach" Trailer because it confirmed everything I hated about you.

 

3 days later... 21 game hours later...

 

Now, I love you.

 

I love your design.  I love the way you feel so superior to Solas that you offer your advice to him to be a "better" mage.  I love your voice.  I love how powerful you make me feel when you are in the party.  I love your fashion sense in a time of great upheaval.  I love your advice for Cassandra to "dress the part."  I love you with your "helmet."  I love you without your "helmet."

To you reading, has this happened to you where you had a closed-off view of a character, but after playing did everything click with you about that character?

I said something similar in the Solas thread but basically in the months leading up to Inquistion i didin't really know anything about Solas except that he helps you understand the rifts and that he is a bald elf. I never even once entered the official Solas thread because i simply never cared about him and was sure my mages would be Vivienne and Dorian or myself as the Inquisitor.

 

After the first detailed conversation with him he became my favorite companion and many hours later he is in 1st or 2nd place. Everything he says is interesting.

The fact that he is the dread wolf or Fen'Harel was an awesome twist and makes everything he says throughout the game even cooler.
