Why? Why the gigantic hat? Why the stupid hair? Why the overly weird voice acting and dialogue?

 

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but this guy looks like Final Fantasy 14 just vomited somebody's secondary character they don't play that much (cause they were just goofing around with the character creation settings) onto Dragon Age.

 

He's a spirit, fine. But DA has always been grounded in realism, more Martin than Japanese Tolkien. Is he good on missions? Does his character develop well?

Cole's personal quest and his cut scenes were really hard hitting in the emotional department for me, but then again I loved him in Asunder and so it's really easy for me to see how much he grows from them (And dear goodness Solas and Varric helping him is awesome).  Doing the Rhys and Evangine operations also adds some stuff for him since he writes at the bottom of their reports.
