Hi all, I've not been able to find a concrete answer to this particular question (I'm trying to avoid spoilers, though, so if it's been answered somewhere else, apologies). What's the respawn like? I find overly-fast respawn rates to be a serious immersion-breaker for me, unless there's a way to "turn it off" in-game - clearing out a nest, destroying a bandit base, etc. Just curious - I'm on the fence about this one, as purchasing it would mean investing in a serious upgrade to my gaming rig. I've almost got it rationalized, just need a little more incentive. Thanks!

I've had a reasonable spawn rate happen for me with bandits, etc.  Like I'll clear out a camp and it was 10 minutes before they repopped.  Pretty much same as an MMO, actually slower than alot of MMO respawn timers.

What has your timer been like?

I notice that when I am in an area that a lot of fighting is going on because of a quest/back-story to it, completing the quest reduces respawn rate.

Not sure if this is always true though.

Hmmm. I can live with that, I suppose. KoA levels of respawn were tolerable, but just barely. I'm just not big on taking a glance around to see the sights and finding that a mob has materialized out of the ether right in front of me.

The only issues I've had with bad respawning is with wildlife.  I was in one area where I got attacked by 3 different bears that appeared from thin air inside of 5 minutes.

Actually, A follow-up question would be: if I'm traversing an area repeatedly, working on/completing a quest or what have you, can respawned mobs be avoided relatively easily? Again, purely personal preference: if I've got a particular goal in mind, I like the option of going around combat that isn't relevant to that goal if I've already explored that area.

Those bears are related to a quest, and I have not complete the quest so I do not know if they will keep spawning at the same rate once I complete the quest.

Yes.  There is a disengage feature that usually works unless you are completely surrounded.  Enemies will stop following you after a short distance.

Thanks everybody, by the way. This will help me make an informed choice. Cheers!
