From Answers HQ:

[PC]Saves from the Keep not importing

  • Most likely caused by not being fully signed into Origin or BioWare servers due to anti virus or using VPN to access the game. Try disabling anti-virus software for Origin or logging in with VPN.
  • If you have set up your Keep on the wrong Origin account, learn how to fix it here.

[PC] Black screen interrupts play

  • If you're encountering a black screen issue, you can toggle into windowed mode by hitting Alt+Tab which should let you continue playing.

[PS3/PS4] Platinum Store is empty

  • Resolved: This issue should not be affecting any players anymore.

Deluxe Edition not granting Sound Track

  • We are aware that some users are not able to access the soundtrack online even after redeeming their code through their console. We are looking into this issue and hope to have an update soon. You can assist us by providing your info here.

[PC] Origin not downloading bonus content after installing game

  • Once the game is installed, Origin might not download the deluxe content, even if you force download it. The workaround is to force-quit Origin and relaunch.

[PC] Gender Swapped text

  • A small number of users playing as male are getting female responses and romance options. We are aware of the issue and are looking into it.
  • If you don't want to wait for a fix, restart your character and do the following during character creation: Change your gender a couple of times, e.g. if you want to roll a male, select male then female and back to male, alternatively with female character select female, male, then female.

[PC] AMD Mantle not working due to out-of-date drivers

[PC] DirectX Crashes

  • If you are having DirectX issues with Dragon Age Inquisition and you have an AMD Radeon graphics card, please update to the AMD Catalyst 14.11.2 beta driver.
  • We are aware of issues with certain NVidia graphic cards and we are working with NVIDIA on a solution.
  • If you encounter a crash followed by DirectX errors, please make sure you have up to date drivers and your PC meets minimum spec. We also recommend not using an overclocked GPU.

[PC] Player blocked after character generation & opening cutscene

  • Here a few tips to help circumvent the issue while the Dragon Age team is working on resolving it:

  • Do not alter the command line in the game's properties with any unofficial workarounds. Doing so may prevent the game from performing as it should. Next be sure to download the latest drivers for your graphics card and turn down your graphical settings.

  • If you’re still encountering errors after performing these steps, please post a DXDIAG of your computer to help us diagnose the problem.

Source: http://help.ea.com/e...n-known-issues/

Please note that alterations to the command line, particularly those associated with the "60fps cutscene fix" for PC may be causing other issues for players, such as rubber banding in multiplayer and blocking after the character generator. If you are experiencing these issues, please try undoing the fix.

[PC] Performance issues during gameplay

  • Turn off MSAA
  • Set all graphical settings to low, and then gradually increase them until performance is impacted

Does not work for most of us having a black screen issue, unfortunately :(

I posted this in the Community problems thread as well, but will repeat it here because it might be helpful to some:

To those here with Nvidia cards who are suffering from game crashes during cutscenes and on the war table and then get a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG message on desktop, I had the same but managed to get rid of it by turning off "Origin in-game" (that is how it is called in the Dutch version of the interface, at least). I was suffering crashes in nearly every cutscene and visits to the war table, but since changing that setting in Origin I have had zero crashes while I have been playing many, many hours and have been taking my time during war table visits :)

Get béta driver for AMD cards when having DirectX errors? You are kidding me right? If you don't have an RX 270/290 or later model, you're SOL when it comes to using the beta drivers.

I already have AMD Catalyst 14.11.2 beta driver but still crash the game and gives me a DirectX error message. The problem is not solved to everyone who has AMD video card .

Can you provide me with a bit more information on the set up you are running, as well as when/where you are encountering crashes? Also if you have an approximate consistency rate for how often you encounter crashes, that would help.

How about a fix for 18 FPS on high end hardware or constant crashing without Direct X warnings?...

I have a AMD Radeon HD 6800. My graphic settings are all on Medium , which is only the shadows on Low.
My MSAA is off .
My Ambient Occlusion is off .
I can play normally. Only during cutscenes that the game crashes with DirectX error message . Some cutscenes work and others crash with the error message . It's random .
Please fix this problem . I'm really enjoying the game , the only problem is that DirectX error in cutscenes .

Windows 7 64bit

AMD Radeon HD 6800

I7-2600

3.40GHz

8GB RAM

PS : Sorry for my english . I tried my best .

I'm also having random crashes, just no directx errors or anything , just crashes to the desktop. These have gotten so bad that it makes the game unplayable.

Specs:

Intel I7-920 OC'd 3.2 Ghz

8gb Ram

AMD HD 6950 2gb (latest beta drivers)

Win7 64 (cleaned and all latest updates)

Crashes are way more frequent the more i progress in the game, used to be around half an hour, now they happen around every 5 minutes.

I played for 8 hours without CTD problems, and then the crashes started at levels with coast and also in the caves/dungeons most of the time..

I have AMD HD7950 3GB VRAM, AMD FX-8350, 8GB DDR3 RAM 1600, and Windows 7 x64 latest updates + AMD 14.11.2 drivers. And it does NOT matter if CPU/GPU is overclocked or not...

Not sure if this will work for anyone else or not but I had the CTD issue a problem along with FPS stuttering and also when characters were talking the first word they said would be repeated. I ran the repair game after the CTD and installed the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 again.  I also remembered that I used to have issues with running MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner when I played ME3 causing a CTD so shut them off and I have not had an issue in over 24 hours no more FPS stuttering CTD or conversation issues. Not positive what was the actual fix but I believe it was MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner that was the culprit.

Tried the gender-swap-bug workaround. It doesn´t  work for me.

Edit: it worked on the 3rd created character. Hope I stay a sir, at least for the first playthrough. Trying to play now.

Does not work for most of us having a black screen issue, unfortunately :(

Doesn't work for me either unless I opened up some kind of tab or window in the background to switch to in case of emergencies (such as a web browser or opening a file or something like that). Skype doesn't seem to count as an escape window. The steam overlay doesn't either.

When the game black screens (as it frequently does) if I don't have a background window open then all I can do is hit the manual reboot button on the front of my pc  :( .

How do I check to see if you GPU is overclocked? If it is overclocked then how do I set it so that it isn't? I want to see if that is what's causing my Directx errors. My drivers are up to date so that might be it.

Edit: I found out it's not overclocked. I might find a replacement fan for my XFX Radeon 6870 2 GB if an update isn't given for the Nvidia cards in the meantime.

An issue I've been having the last few days was that several quests were not triggering properly, specifically quests that required searching for and locating items. After two days of uninstalls and reinstalls I found the issue: the DvD copies are faulty.

After downloading and installing the Origins copy, the issues are completely cleared up. Downside is that means nearly anyone that has purchased a physical copy for the PC now has an unplayable copy, which seems to be the case with this issue as far as I've been able to determine from checking with other DvD purchasers.

For those that have the bandwidth and connecdtion for it, it's a small inconvienience. For those that do not, this is a crippling issue that needs to be looked into and patched ASAP.

I've just found out that when i play in windowed mode (or even better windowed fullscreen) all my crashes are gone, been playing non stop for 4 hours, man do i love the skyhold, i'm gettin major Neverwinter Nights 2 vibes from it. (crossroad keep)

Not even sure why it would make a difference but it sure does work ;)

What about all of us having a PC over the RECOMENDED,  all mentioned ( yes all, stop saying me update this or that ) up to date, and still have CPU usage of 100% even on lowest settings and like 10 fps.... IT'S NOT my pc stop selling me that.

If its something Bioware can't resolve soon they MUST tell us so we can get a refund, i'll buy it later when its actually fixed, if gonna take weeks, please do tell asap.

I am getting the same direct x errors and crashes during cutscenes. I have upgraded to the Catalyst AMD 14.11.2 beta drivers. I am on a Radeon HD 5770 card (old I know but it does meet minimum requirements). I have an Intel i7 930 (not overclocked) and 6 gigs of ram. Running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

*sigh* I wished this worked for me. I too get the random crashes to desktop without any errors whatsoever, so I tried the windowed fullscreen thing. It crashed again after 10 minutes.

And yes, everything is up to date, no programs running in the background, origin overlay is disabled and my PC can run this game on ultra easy peasy. Except for the F**KING CRASHES.

Ugh AC Unity gave me zero problems and now I pay for that luck with this mess.

Same here. Happens primarily during transitions such as passing through a cave to another part of the zone or when a cut scene is starting or ending.

I've fixed the CTD problem, but my game apparently thinks that my Warden died from the Ultimate Sacrifice and that she never romanced Leliana.  Given that the default Warden is male, yes? - it'd be great if there was a checklist of the default that was easily available - it looks like that there's another bug in the Keep.  I'd report it, except there isn't a Report Bug function that is immediately obvious.
