Unfortunately, Im experiencing the same problems I had with Battlefield 4.

The first version of the game run perfect.

After "fixes", mostly the last patch, it get worse.

Now the game is laggy, and graphics bugs everywhere.

The worst is to have a new computer especially for this game, now ruined because the whiners with potato computers.

Bioware, really, no need to pay attention to people (children), who know little or nothing.

Undo the "fixes", the game is well with computers for with it was made.

The criticism that come to me now, bounce me...the truth is that, this generation of "gamers", there is nothing that suits them, and end up ruining everything.

The same goes for me. I never had any problem playing DA:I before the last patch.

I cant 'play the game because there are lags every time

The worst part is I didn't want to download the patch but origin refused to launch the game without it -_-

At least I hope this new patch help more people than it cursed others

Dang man, you shoulda tried playing with Outcome or Origin offline, to play w/o patching. And the same seems to go for lots of people. My first PT was on a low spec PC, the settings on low (REALLY low), but the game was playable, had banter, no game crashing glitches, etc. New PC, high specs, second PT, the game starts to get some bugs, less banter, no music. SHAIT. Third PT, new patch... I´m reinstalling the game, that should tell you how that 3rd PT went.

It certainly looks that the more hours you play, the more it breaks, crash-s, buges, glitch... ****. Coryphanus.

I have yet to successfully enable origin in game with ANY games run through origin. I go through the motions, click the click but when i go back and try to do what made that pop-up to enable origin in game to show, it STILL does. No idea why. It's worse with crapcity errrr simcity 5 in that regard. It's why people worldwide are getting pissed off with game companies forcing always online garbage on us(though you can certainly play some games offline). After buying inquisition, I couldn't help wonder just how much of the actual game was on my effing disc and how much was online waiting for the activation key to download the rest of the game. I pity gamers as a whole if some of these game platforms(origin/uplay/arc/steam/battle.net etc etc) ever go by way of the dodo. What will happen to all our games? Scary thought of the day.

I totally fubarred my post so I'm editing. My brain must have been in a dyslexic state that day. I didn't mean to disable origin in game, I often get the message to "ENABLE" it for content downloads and crap like that and no matter what I do, it never works and the same pop-up always shows up.

Disabling Origin in game does not mean you don't need Origin to launch the game, just means you don't get the notices for who's online and such in game. I find I have to disable it in the game info tab and in general Origin settings to get it to stay gone. Otherwise it seems to enable itself every time I exit and restart Origin.

I use an amd 270x, and had consistent ctd. I it finally stopped when I changed to full screen instead of windowed no border. Using newest omega drivers, mantle and dx11 would crash until I changed this.

Have you checked for audio driver updates and, a BIOS update? Those two are often overlooked.

yep ur right these DirectX-Error sucks really, after i was done with my first character about 2 Months ago, i hoped it was fixed with the last patches and i wanted to play a new character.. without having to face those DX-Errors while on Cinematic-Conversations. But after so long time there´s still no fix for NVidia-Users. (Yes i have the newest driver"s" also for all of my hardware) NVidia Patchnotes dont even mention DragonAge DirectX issue so did they already do something about it or did they forgot about it after they mentioned it at first-post? Actually i doubt there will be an fix in the future...it took already to long same as with BF4 there is still the same issue.

If they dont do anything there is no way around it u have to buy an card which officially works without this problem. (also an really expensive one)

im really disappointed, such a nice game with Bioware but..hmm i think u know what i mean

They probably have hard time reproducing the bug since not every configuration have that problem. I had DirectX error once and no more again through my 60+h of game so far and I have gtx 780 factory overclocked+extra overclocked:). Actually Inquisition is the first game in my 10 years gaming experience that suprised me with this error o_O

Exactly. I'm playing on a Windows 8.1 laptop with an i5-4210U processor and GeForce 820M GPU on factory settings and I have virtually zero problems. No DirectX crashes, only a handful of CTDs (and only on loading), no party banter issues, etc. Plain vanilla install as well.

I run on Dual Nvidia Titans, no DX crash and, my grandaughter is on a 760 no crash (and that is one of the ones known to crash) Neither of us run Nvidia Experience. Could that be the problem? It was causing crashes in another game I play so, I don't have it installed for that reason (also and EA title) so, it may be the issue here as well and, a simple uninstall will fix the problem for many people.

Nvidia Experience is NOT mandatory so, it's worth a shot.

I had an interesting experience lately. I used Nvidia GTX770 and had no problems so far. On the weekend this card got broken and I put in my good old AMD HD6850. Really slow, had to turn down graphic settings from High to Mid and even then all was stuttering. Better than nothing till my new card will arrive. As soon as the AMD card was in my rig, DA:I crashed very often. Sometimes right after startup, sometimes after an hour or so. I had some CTD, some full freezes of my rig and one DX crash. The whole bunch of errors you can get. Now I got my new GTX980 card and I played for hours without any problem in Ultra settings.

Please don't get me wrong. I don't want to say, it's all AMD's fault. I think there is more to this than only the graphics card and it's drivers. Motherboard, CPU, Bridge, Bios, Drivers you name it. And there are people in the forums that have problems with Nvidia and no problems with AMD. It's all crazy. Sometimes I think it's just luck. You have to live with it that on your rig some games behave strange.

I didn't install Nvidia Experience or Nvidia Audio or what not, just the driver and PhysX. I have MSI Afterburner on most times to cast screenshots or videos. So I can't say that Afterburner is destabilizing anything.

Nvidia used to be notorious for having to manually uninstall drivers before updating to a new one. I still do that out of habit. Perhaps that is part of why I don't have problems.

I do agree that Afterburner is not a problem, I use it as well and, it isn't destabilizing anything.

As I said, if it is Nvidia Experience causing the trouble, it is not the first game to CTD because of it, not even the first EA game to do it.

The same can be said about Raptr from ATI/AMD. When it's enabled, I have had crashes when the game jumps from action to cutscene. I disabled it as a part of the clean boot process and didn't have that problem again. I updated the drivers and Raptr was re-enabled. I'm not sure it was the driver or Raptr, but I disabled Raptr and once again the game is running fine.

^ Strange, I do use Raptr and even Sweet FX but I don't have CTDs, but after latest DA: I patches performance is a little down...

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place and/or a stupid question, but how do I know if the latest patch has been added to my game? I can't find it anywhere to download, so does it just update itself through Origin? I bought the game on disc and it loads through Origin and when I click "Check For Updates" it tells me my game is up to date. Anyway, I ask because I have the bug with Dorian's mission where nothing happens and I see in the patch notes that Dorian's mission was one of the things fixed, so I just want to make sure I have the latest version of the latest patch. Can someone help me figure it out?

Yeah, the patch loads through Origin- automatically if you haven't switched off auto updates manually. If you have an update waiting there is an orange icon in the top right corner of your game tile in 'My Games'.

Sounds like you are up to date to me. :)

There's a book just around the corner in the tavern It's to the right as you walk in, if the tavern is empty, just read the book then exit and re- enter.

Just did it an hour ago myself. ;)
