So my problem and this, then I click on start origin plays on the image of DA: inquisition, then after a while you open the window and I see a green logo on the bottom right ... after be about 15 minutes then the logo of bioware that I sometimes stutters and disappears after which I get a black screen and a background in music that lasts for 2 minutes, and then stops and the game crashed me without making me access the main menu.

I note that my and a "Notebook PC" with this configuration:

PC: Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: AMD E-350 processor 1.60 GHz
Memory (RAM): 4 GB
System: 64bit
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics

And I have revised type 6 times the minimum and maximum of the game and I in the least (apart 2core who apparently works on some PCs) within us very well! then for what kinda problem does not work not only to me but also to other game?

I'm sorry to say, but your PC just doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

The minimum requirements is as followed:

CPU: AMD Quad Core @ 2.5GHz

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 4870

Your CPU is a dual-core, not a quad core, and it's running at 1GHz below the minimum specs.

The GPU is integrated, the core clock is a mere 500MHz and it only got 80 shader cores.

The minimum required GPU got 10 times as many shader cores and clocked at 750MHz.

Your PC just won't be able to run this game. It's too far below the minimum requirements.. I'm sorry

OK, my final post on the subject. After hours and hours of continuous playing I can confirm the following workaround works:

1. Disable origin in game

2. Go offline

3. kill any nonsense apps running in the right hand tray

4. startup DAI, alt-TAB out, open taskmanager and end 'explorer.exe' process.

5. close taskmanager (you should automatically return to game)

Done

Before the fix: constant dx crashes

After: 0 so far (about 30+hrs playing in Hinterlands and loads of cutscenes)

applied on Win7 64bit, gtx760, 8g RAM

Do what u want with this info, i'm heading back to Thedas :)

I'm having severe framedrops both during gameplay and during cutscenes. My pc specs are:

AMD Phenom II X6

8 GB Ram

650 GTX TI -Driver up to date: 344.75

I can't play the game like this, so I will wait until you have fixed it. I'm really looking forward to it

Try rolling your drivers back to the 344.65 drivers. It made things a bit better for me.

Your 650 card is just not up for the task of running the game smoothly.

I have a gtx970 card with an i5 cpu 8gb ram and game on ssd and it still dips under 60fps with this setup.

I cant i magine how bad fps it must have with only a 650TI card.

For me the game is impossible to play at the moment because every time i start the game it freezes at some point between "click to connect to bioware servers" and the actual menu.

I also have an AMD Graphics card and updated to 14.11.2 beta drivers

Pardon me if this is a repeat, there are so many topics to follow R's easy to get lost.

While at launch, the game refused to even perform until I lowered all of the graphics, I then found I didn't get the newest beta driver for AMD and that solved the stuttering and slow lag.

What I would like to know is the answer to the Fast Travel crashes I continue to get. I can run smoothly when playing in a given area as much as I please but if I'm in longer than say 20min +, my game will not only lock up during the load wait period, it will completely shut off my PC and everything. I then have to re-power up my rig and start over into origins. This happens consistently.

It happens so regular, I know I'll need to save before attempting to say, go back to Haven from the Storm Coast. It will not crash if I'm less than 20 min on a given area and will smoothly transition to the next place but afterwards, when playing more than 20+, any attempt to fast travel ends up crashing.

Is there something I can do? Has anyone else had this issue?

Rig - AMD Black 8 Core 4.0, Raedon 7850HD, 8 Gig Ram.

INTEL CORE I7 3770K IVY BRIDGE 3.50GHZ 8MB 95W LGA1155
GeForce GTX 680

12GB triple channel memory

I got minor stutters in Redcliffe and VR,

Spoiler

Now I am in Skyhold and I am really feeling the issues, lots of little things like sound issues and NPC's disappearing but the worst is the huge FPS drop, feels like my character is wading through waist-deep mud.

I have ordered a GTX 980 to "power through" the FPS issues till this is patched, should give me enough frames to play with now the vsync issue has been patched by Nvidia.

I feel like game stability is degrading over time, on release I played multiplayer for over 8 hours straight with zero issues. Now with roughly 90 hours logged I can barely even launch the game without it freezing or crashing. Single player suffers from cutscenes locking up with a white screen and the game simply shutting down, with no crash report or error. Multiplayer suffers from horrendous rubberbanding of the characters. Ive checked and updated drivers, but nothing seems to help.

i5-4690 @ 3.50 GHz

GeForce GTX 660

8 gigs of ram

Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

Edit: its to be noted that when the game runs it runs beautifully with all setting on high at a steady 54 fps give or take a few in combat.

I managed to fix some of my crashing problems and I am holding out until the fan for my radeon graphics card comes because my current one is not support by nvidia anymore. My radeon card will be able to handle it just fine though. I managed to make the game run at least 50 minutes without crashing, but today its acting as if what I did to keep it from crashing so soon didn't happen at all. The fan was supposed to come tomorrow, but I was told they only started shipping it today... I am in one of the final quests of the game and they do this.

I'm playing on a 2-year old MSi GT70 with an Intel i7 and a Geforce GTX 675M with 4GB RAM. I've had trouble getting the game started. At first, it would load and then I would get a green Fade environment with no character and the character screen wouldn't load the character at all.

I updated all my drivers resulting in the game opening a black window and then close it again.

I had to install the latest version of GeForce Experience (found here http://www.geforce.c...rce-experience)and once that was installed, install from it the latest driver it provided. After that, the game ran until the latest Origin update after which it wouldn't load at all. So in Origins I searched for updates for the game (right-click on the game title and then updates) but it didn't find any. After that I let Origin repair the game files which took a while but then the game could be started again. I hope this helps someone who's having the same issues I had.

So far I've only had 1 or 2 crashes when loading the character record, or rather, the game froze and had to be closed via task manager. No crashes during cut scenes or war room table. I'm running most settings on ultra with no effect on performance worth mentioning.

Is there any workaround for the voice-changing-after-meeting-a-special-person-problem?

NO, I don't want to choose the

Spoiler

Any console command like "change the fn PC voice to that I have chosen, when I made this fn character in the beginning of this damn broken game"??

Yeah, don't laugh, I tried this. I'm angry like hell, though I am sad at the same time. No more Bioware games for me.

Thanks EA for this mess. No more EA games, too!

I have another gameplay relate bug, the mage Dorian has a cool ability that turns defeted enemy on ghost that figth for you. But in kill quests can lead to a bug that forcé you to reload the map. The bug triggers if you left an enemy in a kill quest "alive" being a ghost and then fast travel to another location, this render the enemy unkillable and friendly untill you reload the map, and the quest can be complete untill like i say you reload the map.

Most of the problems i see posted here i think are windows or hardware related, i have a good clean habit on my PC no spywares, no p2p programs, unistall something and i clean the registry, defrag etc.

Most people need to try in a clean install, the devs also notice that overclocks are no recomended to this game.

Also if you PC is doing weird things like shutting itself off you should check for hardware problems

Getting random crashes to desktop but I don't get an error report, no pop up saying what went wrong.  Sometimes I can play for 4 hours without getting a crash, other times it's less then 20 minutes and once the game has crashed once it will keep happening, I can start the game again play for like 5-10 minutes and it will crash, time and time again.  I've checked my temperatures and my CPU doesn't get above 60°C, my GPU doesn't get above 65°C so no overheating issue.

The fact that you don't get an error report or popup is so frustrating because you have no idea what went wrong.

I have just received today the hard copy version Deluxe Edition of Dragon Age Inquistion.

Which incidentally I had to order from Amazon.com in the U.S. because there were no retailers in the UK that sold the hard copy. The Deluxe Edition is only available here in the UK as a digital download.

As I have both Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Awakening in hard copy, I wanted  Inquisition in that format too.

Anyway it has meant that I have had to wait with greater anticipation the extra week to get my hands on the game.

Guess what folks?? The game won't run!!

I got it installed at 11am this morning and I have spent the whole day (it is now 9pm) trying to get the ****** thing to run without success.

I get as far as the opening scene with the soldiers and enchanters walking down the road and the 'Press any Key' and it freezes.

A couple of times I got to the game menu and options screen (whooppee!) - then it hangs :(( :((

I have run the game as Aministrator

I have re-installed DirectX (correction - I tried to but was told I had the newest version already installed)

I have re-installed Microsoft Visual C+

I have re-installed .Net Framework 4.5

I have checked that I have the latest Nvidia drivers

I deleted and re-installed Origins

I disabled Origins In Game

I have re-installed Dragon Age Inquistion

I have run Repair Game and file check within Origin

Disabled any overlays

Run the game as Aministrator (several times!)

My system specification is as follows: Intel Core Extreme CPU X9650 3.00Ghz Quad Core, 8.00Gb DDR3 memory, Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti, with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Which I think most would agree satisfies at least the minimum requirements for the game.

Can ANYONE tell me why this game I paid £66.00 for will not run??

Invisman (VERY annoyed and disappointed)

I have gtx 780 ti, 16 gigs of ram, i7 4770k and I find the game unplayable even on High settings. Not good, not good. Even Unity doesn't run so bad.

Nvidia has a hotfix driver that replaces the 344.75 ..new one is 344.80.    I have other issues so that one isn't going to work for me right now, til I find out what else is wrong.

http://nvidia.custhe...x-driver-344.80

And sorry in advance  if this has already been posted.

GeForce Hotfix driver 344.80

This is a beta driver that addresses the following issues:

  • GeForce GTX 980 displays texture shimmering when Texture Filtering Quality set to High Quality.
  • GPU outputs fuzzy lines over DisplayPort after a period of time following driver updates.
  • System hang up and black screen after power on with some monitors (DP1.2 & 4K/60Hz) + GTX980

How about missing NPCs in the game, missing stores? Like Belle in Val Roueax (Barter By Belle)

Also have the direct x hung device error, my machine is brand new top of the line way over speccs and still cant run the game properly. Why did I preorder and play from start, should have learned my lesson by now, AAA titles are full of crap untill six months and if you are smart you wait untill the GOTY version comes out. Biggest disappointment from Bioware that I have experienced, I thought you were better than this!
