Is there trouble shooting for your guys's shitty ass hitboxes?  Pommel strike/Twin Fangs, and other skills that work like this will miss point blank repeatedly, even if your ontop of your enemy.

So please, is there a work around for scrubbish design flaws?

Yea, it's called auto attack.  They've had it in almost every other game they've produced, except this one.

Repost from PC community thread, just so I would know if someone has a solution for this here:

I've started experiencing weird things on my display since the latest patch arrived. The issue is that Some cutscenes are cropped on the sides. The issue also appears on the war room as seen here.

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w3/moonmythology/DAI-displayissue_zpsfe672db0.png[

Here's another instance of it in a cutscene.

solas-cut_zpsba9ff998.jpg

I have adjusted it to my native resolution, and the issue remains. Has anyone else ever experienced this? If so, does anyone know any suitable workaround for this issue?

Every time i purchase the respec necklace, and use it, my game freezes.. If i alt tab out, it goes black until i end task!

Im also noticing that the framerate for the environment is very 'jumpy'.. Meaning it doesnt have smooth movement like my character does, its almost like its skipping frames.. Very small, but very noticable to the point that its now taking away from my experience.. I meet or surpss all the RECOMMENDED requirements.. All my drivers, windows, etc are up to date also..

Another thing ive started to notice is sound.. When in the hinterlands for instance, i get occasional banter, i get wildlife, and even some music.. but when i go near a stream, the sound of water or environment kindve clash with each other.. Its all staticky fighting for which one wants to be playing, and it sounds like speakers crackling almost!

Ive fallen through the floor, into an endless fall in limbo.

The load times are also quite large, and the longer i play, it seems like the longer its taking for areas, or items, even players to show up.. Even rendering as im running.. (side note, bear spawnrates in hinterlands are insane.. They even appear right on top of me quite often.. So much so that ive had 3 at once)

I havent had the bad experiences others hae, but wanted to make sure i posted these ive had that werent posted (that i saw numerously).

The multip[layer was unbarable.. The framerates, the bugs with broken objectives.. Entire maps vanishing, or all enemies disappearing, but stil killing us.. But idc abiout that.. mp has no place in this type of game anyway.. Just fix the  dam game! Im very sick of these games being released in what can only be viewed as beta versions, and im disgusted!

On the ps3 dragon age inquisition, the inquisitor's hair looks terrible if made to be the darkest black
First of all it is not even black but blueish and is way too shiny
I want black hair, but will not have it if it is this bad looking
Will this be patched? If so I can cope up with the shiny bluish black hair until then. and if not i will resort to a dark brown...

They arent even taling about patching game breaking bugs... Multiplayer is also a wreck.. They arent even going to speculate on dlc (aside from multiplayer, where the cash shop is working optimal).. Hair, on last gen, i wouldnt hold my breath.. Bioware is full, 100%, without a doubt EA anymore.. EAoware... Good Riddance!

Furthermore, that they even considered running what should have been, a next gen game on last gen consoles completely gimped it for us all.. I still havent gotten a reason to purchase a PS4.. This PoS game runs like it was started a year ago, and was hyped, packaged, and sold within the same year as conception!

For anyone looking for an easier way to mouselook, there are a few different options. Although the "Improved PC control scheme" script program at Nexus Mods is a wonderful tool for helping to improve DAI flawed UI, some people can't get it to work. Turn out that Windows has a built feature which can, in a way, allow you to turn mouse look on and off fairly easily.

Just go to your mouse properties in control panel and enable "click lock".  This allows you to hold any mouse button for a predefined period of time and have it remain clicked until you click again. It's not a perfect solution, but for those of you with issues running this tool, hopefully this might be a helpful alternative. Just remember to turn off when you exit the game. I had my interval set pretty short and I found myself accident highlighting and dragging anything and everything I clicked.

Also, I tried using mouse keys, but it didn't work as well. Fastest way to try it out is to press "ctrl-alt-num lock" and then click yes. Mousekeys can then be toggled on and off by pressing the num lock key. With Mouse Keys turned on, you can press the numpad 0 button to toggle holding down the mouse button. To hold down the right mouse button, press the numpad minus button and then press numpad 0. It works but just barely, cause it's kind of a pain to have to reach over to the numpad and press 0 every time you want to mouse look... anyway... here's hoping patch 3 will be released soon with some major ui improvements. More than likely though, it will be a while before it's released, at which point we PC players will more than likely be shafted again.

How about some compassion? How do you think this is going to make the Bioware employee who designed the pc ui feel about his work....

Exactly the way the man should feel.. Like a complete sellout! A lazy, useless, ass! i would like to pin it directly on him, but in truth, the entire game was rushed, and poorly designed.. I wonder if the "raving reviews" would sing the same praise, if the game didnt look so amazing? Highly doubt it!

If the game was indeed rushed and put out before it was really ready, I bet it was pressure from EA. There was no way EA would let Bioware delay the game during the holiday season, no freaking way. But then again Bioware had a lot of time developing this game and still release a game that kinda feels it's 90% complete and still in beta testing; broken quests, performance issues, etc etc etc.

Surprised in not seeing more links to the various DAI mods available.

Though I guess it would be a little embarrassing, especially for things like the Walk mod after Bioware recently stated they had issues making that work...

I also saw a fella made a proper view for the tactical camera.. Now if only there was a way to mod the actual behavior, so we could get atleast some resemblance to Dragon Age!

I guess our only real option is to continue playing what remains to be crpg glory days, and stick with whats already on my game shelf.. Very little today is being made, that doesnt have a huge watering down effect, intended to please as large a portion of the ausience as possible.. Remember when developers made what  THEY thought was best, rather than everyone? Man those were some epic games..

PS: Divinity:Original Sin was AMAZING for anyone missing that old school feel.. Not perfect, but very close to an old school rpg!

I really hope Witcher, and CDProjektRed continue to deliver.. They deserve much praise!

In fairness, we are about to see (whenever the patch info is released) if indeed there was somebody inside Bioware who knew there was a problem with DAI for pc and was able to get something accomplished between release and now.  We have no idea to what extent that something may be, or how effective those efforts were to actually manifest the kinds of fixes we all want, but there is still some degree of hope.

But again, it's a slim chance until we see the patch notes.

Your mistake is thinking bioware games as rpgs. They are not they had already told is a lot earlier, they want accessible action adventure games and not rpgs. People will find their products decent if they accept this fact and play it for what it is.,

Is there a workaround for this?

gBJger.jpg

I had that too with my Nvidia 347.09 (latest) driver i rolled back too 344.75 and that disappeared, so did the DXhung issues i was getting. i also disabled SSAO or similar in the options.

I'm running a ASUS GTX 770 2GB

I am still getting really choppy gameplay and cutscenes and  the FPS fixes only made things worse but at least i can play.. sort of.

It's just a shame Bioware refuse to get back on track with games such as BG-NWN-DAO-ME, but times change and the market dictates easy access console garbage for fast sales.

All i want, and was hoping for a good 3d high quality DnD style ruleset based party rpg. That is all i was ever looking for. I would kill for a complex ruleset game on frostbite 3.

Oh well one can dream atleast.

So I discovered by chance that part of my problems with the game are due to a controller being plugged in.

If I start the game without a controller (I have a Gamestop xbox 360 controller installed on my pc) the game runs fine. If I use the controller, the game stutters.

This did not happen before patches 2 and 3. I don't know what changed, but I hate playing without a controller. What can I do?

So I currently cannot play the game after Patch 3. I'm not sure if it is caused by Patch 3 though.

There are two different instances: creating a character and playing a load game.

Creating a New Character:

Everything goes well up until your new character is supposed to stagger up from the ground.

No character shown getting up, just green fog. Then it skips to the 5 face choices but doesn't show any faces.

All that shows is a green background and flashes of yellow light.

Loading Saved Game:

The entire screen is all rainbow flashes, no matter which way I turn the camera. Occaisonally I'll see a flash of door or wall, but it's extremely disorienting and really not at all playable.

I've checked for updates and repaired the game through Origin. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.

*Note: The main menu, options screen, and loading screens are perfect.

I do not know if this is the proper thread for this topic, but I have been searching throughout the boards and haven't found something like it other than on old websites from December. I pre-ordered DAI via Origin and have been playing it since the hour it first came out in the United States with no problems, everything ran like a charm. I stopped playing for a couple of weeks and since seeing the patch notes, I decided to try playing it tonight. So I log into Origin with no problems and hit play on my DAI icon and now I get this message: "We could not activate Dragon Age ™: Inquisition Digital Deluxe on this computer using the Origin Account you provided. Please locate your product key to activate the game using your Origin Account". Below this is a button which says "Enter Product Key". First off, the Product Key is built into Origin's program. I can read it, I can copy and paste it, but somehow that Key is not being validated. Secondly, when I press the button which says "Enter Product Key" nothing happens. The button "depresses" and then ... nothing. I double checked to make certain that my possible son in law didn't log into his Origin account and the system was simply logging me into his account, but Nope, I am logged into My own account which is the correct account that purchased DAI.

Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

Nevermind: EA Origin Servers are down, hence no validation.  Wow.
