What is wrong with the member(s) of the development team in regards to the person(s) in charge of facial hair...it is worse than DA2 in terms of quality. I had hoped they would of been more competent this time around especially with a much more powerful engine to work with and avoided all (non stubble) beards and mustaches looking like Mr Potato Head but it is worse than before. So bad in fact that it is not even attached to the face along the cheekbones, you can see a large gap between cheek and start of beard, not to mention how looks so incredibly bad in general. I remember Mike Laidlaw saying it looked bad before in earlier screenshots because they had problem with textures in the early builds but that the final game would fix this...it's not fixed, it's freaking awful.

Secondly the cutscene framerate is not good at all, even with high end machine and high end GPU (4GB OC GTX 770) there is a slight visible stutter, on top of this if take a screenshot while during a cutscene it freezes the scene for a couple seconds and on some occasions this leads to overlapping VO and breaks lip sync when freeze ends and overlaps for the remainder of that part of the cutscene. These sort of issues should not be present in the final build and leads me to think Bioware rushed it out the door without sufficient QA testing, this is further backed up by both Nvidia and AMD GPU problems being reported on a large scale. These problems alone I have noticed within 5 minutes of starting the game for first time, I hate to think how many more areas of the game you have messed up on technical aspects plus potential lack of competence or effort put into quality.

I guess I will find out as continue but seriously I expected Bioware to learn from their previous mistakes instead of repeating them...especially given the engine cannot be blamed this time around in terms of facial hair (other games using this engine have not been seen to have such awful facial hair), that is a lack of effort from the developers themselves. The technical problems should not be on such a large scale, QA feels like was rushed and people are now going to have to wait for a multitude of patches that fix issues that should not of occurred. Seems like did not run any compatibility tests on either AMD or Nvidia cards.

/sigh...I am very disappointed in Bioware already so early on in the game and I can only hope these issues are the worst I will come across, perhaps will be lucky and will have no more glaring lack of effort shown in the rest of the game but time will tell as I continue it. Not a great start Bioware though, not a great start at all and I hope those patches this game requires comes sooner rather than later.

Its facial hair man...get yourself a razor.

And about frame rate...well, that does suck. But it has being said that they are working on a solution to it, cause it is some kind of engine problem.

Can't believe people are so taken aback by the facial hair. Such a huge, great game.. and they're just stuck on that.

Hey, some people like facial hair. Whenever I create a male character in anything they have to have face fuzz cuz, well they just look boring and empty without it. I'm more concerned with the graphics that PS3 has currently. They look like the lowest graphic settings you could possibly get on PC, which is something i wouldnt expect from any PS3/360 system

The specs on PS3 and Xbox aren't even close to scratching the game's *minimum* requirements on PC - it was probably a mistake to release them at all, honestly.

I'm a little upset at the quality of the facial hair too - half of them clip through the features of the dwarf I made (this is PC, on high).

I'm not necessarily lumping the OP into this group, but there are many who find one or two (seemingly minor) things that bother them about a game which somehow make the game a completely unplayable 0/10 pile of garbage.
