For a master race, you do whine a lot.

Dragon Age Inquisition is a game.  Not a PC game, not a console game.  A game.

I've witnessed all types of entitled whiny tween garbage on most game forums that I go to, but i've come to expect a higher level of sophistication from Bioware forums.

For the most part the posters here and polite, intelligent, and respectful.  But there is definitely this strong sense of entitlement coming from the "Master Race" of PC users.

Sorry you're not happy with some of the choices by the development team.  Sorry you felt "lead platform" meant hand-crafted for best experience on PC.

Get over it, and let's get back to talking about the game itself instead of whining about tactical cam, frame rate, and view control.

Take that to feedback/tech support please.

This thread can die, I just wanted to put it out there.

The thing is, the PC version definitely has problems, but some people are using this aspect to just charge at Bioware and claim that the game is worse than just about anything.

Just roll your eyes and move on.

I like the way you think sir.  I've been saying this since the game released.  It's quite sad how much PC snobbery there is regarding this game.  These guys think Bioware went out of their way to make a game that plays better on a console over the PC.

PC users, get over yourselves and wait for the patch.

Whining about people whining is a productive use of time and energy.

Me, I'll continue to hope they make the game playable. And no, I'm not talking about minor control issues.

PC users, get over yourselves and wait for the patch.

This is the reason why PC gamers get irritated. We're expected to get shafted by developers and then wait for patches (which may never address our concerns) for a game we've paid full price for.

There are plenty of developers out there who have developed multi-platform games and have accommodated the *needs* of PC gamers. I emphasis "needs" because, unfortunately, there are some things that really do just make the experience a whole lot better for us. A PC-specific UI is crucial for us to be able to navigate without frustration, for example. Of course, some people adapt and can play without problems, but for a lot of us it's just detrimental to the experience and therefore ruins our enjoyment of an otherwise awesome game.

PC gamers also moan about things such as graphics options, optimization etc because these are constant issues on PC which developers just seem to ignore. I didn't spend £2000 on a PC just so I could have a worse experience than a console. At the very least we expect equal.

I'm on PC and I have no problem with keyboard and mouse controls. I just had to get used to it and rebind some stuff.

I guess I'm just weird or something.

The game is playable for many people including many PC users.  Not everyone has the same PC, software, etc., so not sure what to tell you.

Whoa there bro, nothing to do with racism.

You're either new to internet forums or never seen "PC MASTER RACE" being used contextually in a post.

Ok as a PC player I must first say that NOT everyone has issues. The only issue (if I even want to call it that) is the choppiness during cutscenes, which are no longer an issue after the first two days for me.

I agree there are issues that others have mentioned. I think the "whining" is because for some people the game is unplayable... You have to respect that... and BioWare has. You can't call those guys and gals whiners, they have an unplayable game. Now for people who have an option of connecting a controller complaining that the game doesn't play as well as the console players I might have to agree there is a certain group of whiners that need to pull the undergarments out of their rearparts...  but in the end for some people the controls are an issue and they want it to be solved.

None of those things however negate that the PC is indeed the master race... I mean come on, console players (though they may not want to) don't have an option to play it with mouse and keyboard, however we PC gamers can. Not to mention the level of graphical fidelity we can play it at. I mean common, it's hard to deny lol

Considering you've already told me to "stop whining", in essence, I'd say you have a pretty good idea of what you wanted to tell me.

Generalizations are good.

I will say the game is not playable, or not EASILY playable by a great many people on PC. Bioware apparently forgot to QA test the main menu, of all things. I shouldn't have to whip out Task Manager and do weird stuff like disable/re-enable cores just to get past the main screen.

I'm not a PC gamer, but I do understand that a PC uses a radically different system to input information than a console (unless the PC player uses a controller).  As such, you can't just jerryrig one user interface into another anymore than I could install a car steering wheel in an airplane and expect good results.

I do understand some people are having some major issues due to drivers and compatability.  This comes with the terrain for any experienced PC veteran.  That jazz goes into technical support/feedback, NOT the general discussion section of the board.  This section is for people that want to discuss THE GAME in general.  Not your problems in general lol.

For those of us that can run games on both a console and gaming PC without issue and choose whichever we think will be best for the title at the software purchase level...well, we're truly the master race because we have more options, savvy, and overall choices in software.

Just saying =)

TotalBiscuit is a major PC only Youtuber and he reviewed the PC port of the game and was generally pleased with it. Maybe he was seeing it through rose colored glasses since the game he reviewed prior was Assassins Creed Unity but the negativity still seems a bit much.

For people who prefer to play on PC it sucks that they get generally poor console ports but from the developer side of things I understand. There was a report out about Assassins Creed Unity sales in the UK and only 2% were on PC. 2%!

Well Im playing on XBOX ONE and have had a problem where it just about destroyed every game save in my xbox. doesnt mean i hate bioware.

I play on console mostly (even though i have a rocking PC) because **** usually just works. no tweaking, dont need to upgrade, it works and its a enclosed system. I like the acheivments and seeing friends play. PC get the sick graphics, usually thats why you pick PC, or Mods. or both..

Tevinter - err.. the PC Master race is not, sadly, what it once was.

In my youth the Magisters were smart, and hungry and capable of fixing problems on their own.  There was innovation and creativity on the part of the PC owner... there is a reason we are better than the console slobs who greedily await their next fix.

Or... there used to be.  Now, developers fix our games and the younger members of the Master race whine like pedantic children.

Our failure was in coddling our young with digital downloads, DLC and modding... Tevinter is a shallow reminded of how far the Magisters - err... PC Master race has fallen into ruin.

PC dai has real and obvious problems. Respect that and stop whining. People expect a good experience on PC tailored to PC as console users expect a good console experience.

grow up. "I play on console and its fine so PC should shut up!"

With that said, I play on PC and don't have that much of an issue- I got used to it. I do wish tac-cam was better though.. controls blow.

I'm glad you brought this up.  Personally, i'm one of those 30+ gamers that remembers the golden age.  The age where we did what we needed to to get things running.  The age in which nothing could stand in the way, including minimum required specs.  We'd find a way, and we'd plod onwards to gaming glory.  We single handedly created the excitement around building rigs and the industry took note.  They began building the rigs for us, oh how glorious that would be to have the research and acquiring of individual parts done for us!  Now we can just buy a box with everything we wanted and begin tweaking from there.

Low and behold the gaming youth began having these items purchased.  Nay did they toil and work in dank basements over optimization, jerry-rigged cooling devices, and overclocking of cpu's.  Blown capacitors and back-up gfx cards were but stories to these newcomers.  Stories in which they took no note and heeded no advice...

This youth is now upon us, in numbers.  They have advanced hardware purchased for them by their patronage, and they do not understand it's power.  They do not understand the responsibility that has been given.

They just want it to work and will cry until it does.

The fall of the master race is upon us...the future is dark, a new hero is needed...

Never said I play on console and it's fine so PC should shut up.

In fact, I said take it to technical support not the general discussion board.

I build gaming PC's and own consoles.  This release was an obvious PS4 buy for me, I simply knew by gameplay vids released it would be better on the console (minus a bit of graphical fidelity mostly particles/lighting).  Low and behold...I'm right =)

Translation: "Help, help, somebody super glued my rose colored glasses to my face!"

The implication that simply because I'm playing on PC means I shouldn't expect a developer to do their job and release a working game is hilarious.

Really not sure what you mean by this.

So as a PC gamer you're not used to driver and compatability issues?  Hot-fixes are an alien concept, and every release is butter smooth?

Either you're not an avid PC gamer or you've erased those memories, because every PC gamer knows this is the norm, not outside the norm.

Sod off you arrogant *****. PC players have every right to complain when something is not working properly and every right to give non-hills are alive with the sound of music feedback when something can be improved. Just like console players have that same right and often make use of it. This thread's only real purpose is for antagonizing others and baiting so in my opinion should be locked.

For the most part, these are legitimate annoyances, but yes a very small minority have crossed from "I have valid concerns" to "I'm an entitled child who is not used to having things go exactly my way".  But it's a very small amount of people who should be ignored.  The problem is not in the complaints, it's in the attitude of certain complainers.  But those have no effect on whether or not I'm enjoying the game, so just ignore em.

You do have every right.  In fact, you have an open invite to such.  They made a sub-forum for those kind of posts.  I'm just saying i'm embarrassed to be part of both PC and console community these days.

Being a gamer used to mean you were smart and a problem-solver.  Today it seems to mean you're entitled and think everything is a conspiracy to get you.
