Anyone feel this game is somewhat too "resourceful"? The herbs, aninmal, minerals....all spawn too frequent. This makes some of the perks like giving you more when collecting quite obsolete.

 

I mean, in DAO, a penny is a penny, you have to work very hard to earn a gold soverign. Now in this game, stealing is removed, and gold appears to be insignificant and they come too easy.

 

Not to mention there's currently a serious exploit about randomizing chest contents. This is, if you open  a loot chest without taking all the items. Just save the game and relosd, boom, you got a complete new set of items. Hope this exploit has come to the Dev's attention.

Nothing they can do about the loot chest exploiting. That happens in just about every game with randomized loot: Don't like what you got? Reload your save. That is 100% the PLAYER'S doing.

But the resources are a little too numerous so far. I'm probably only about 25% through the game, but at this point I seem to have more than enough resources that I won't have to collect any except the rare ones for crafting. I'm hoping that the later stages of the game give me a reason to use my 339 Iron and 250-something Elfroot.

As far as the gold goes? Eh, I used to think it was a lot cuz there's nothing worth buying at first. But when you get to the next few areas (as in after The Hinterlands) there are plenty of things worth buying. There's also the merchant who sells a bunch of mounts for like $10k
