Hullo,
I love DA:I so far, there's plenty I like a lot, but since Bio says they love customer feedback, let's put some up! I wish a few more of the lessons learned in ME and DA2 would surface here.
I might add more as I progress through the game or if I come across a post with something I missed or haven't encountered yet.
A. UI
1. 2nd quickbar, or some other quick way to select skills - I have much more abilities than I have space to put them and it's very disappointing.
2. Ability to zoom in more - I understand OTS probably takes too much work to add in now, but I'd like to be -somewhat- closer to my character!
3. Get rid of the black loading screen - I already go through the lore-ridden loading screen (not bad), please don't make me spend another 10-20 seconds looking at a black screen!
4. I know it's been said many times before, but I'll add it for the sake of completion - tactics baby!
5. Character Creator - every damn game! I guess I'll put this under UI. It's too dark, I can't see the eyes properly and they turn out very different when the characters are actually in the light.
B. Exploration
1. Please stop hindering my exploration by forcing me to go back and heal every few fights.
2. Ghost world - I gotta mention it. There isn't nearly as much to do in the regions as reviews make it out to be.
C. Skyhold
1. I am 31 odd hours in and I haven't found a single reason to visit the Inquisitor's Quarters, aside from the view. And there isn't even a chamber pot! It takes forever to run downstairs. At this point I'd prefer the fish from my Captain's cabin aboard the Normandy.
2. A few more horses in the stable would be very nice.
3. The garden is filled with statues: silent npc's who don't make ambient noise, just sit there stoically staring in front of them. It's very creepy.
D. Customization
1. Good job on the respec option, now please add another Emporium feature: ability to change appearance in game. It's a long game, sometimes I want to wear my hair differently. Doesn't need to restructure the whole face either. Furthermore there's quite a few people who are either unhappy with their character's appearance and feel forced to start over.
2. Hairstyles, a lot more of them. Please. The female styles are ridiculous!
3. Ability to select different appearances for crafted armor/weapons - some armors look so silly.
4. Ability to remove runes like in DA2 - it's bloody hard to find them so far, and saving them up for good weapons is boring!
5. Different casual/Skyhold outfits - it's very strange that you can customize your bed but not your clothes (or hair).
E. Conversation
1. So far, I'm very disappointed with the character I'm able to give my Inquisitor. The conversation options are lacking, and the opportunities to use them are very limited. In SWTOR I almost instantly fell in love with my Sith, but DAI has me wondering if my character will ever have a ... character. I realize this isn't likely to change, but I feel I must say it. It's all very bland. I have seen 0 motivation for my character to fight (aside from 1 option: oh I don't know how I feel about it), let alone any option for development.
2. Exposition in conversations - very 1995. Nobody's moving around, my Inquisitor Rhaenya just stands still for 10 minutes while Dorian, who's also standing perfectly still for 10 minutes, tries his best to express his feelings about the Imperium. Also see C:3 Statues.
Bonus round:
a. (Facial) animations - honestly, the world is beautiful but looking at a "small studio game" like Enslaved: Journey to the West, DAI is not very next gen. The way characters cross their arms makes me cringe.
b. Hair, it just doesn't look that good even on Ultra.
Bonus bonus round:
Access the war table from tablet/smartphone, that'd be cool. But again, bonus bonus.
