I'm sure there are already a couple of hundreds post, but I'd just like to share my personal wishlist/feedback regarding PC controls.
Long story short, so far I couldn't stomach playing anything else than a ranged character, even that still feels clunky after a dozen hours or so. Here it goes...
- Tactical view. Aw man Bioware, why do you constantly have to fix things that weren't broken? This horrible mess might make sense on consoles, but on the PC.... why not just back to the good old Origins style?
- Please get rid of the constant "1 click too much" in menues. It's simply annoying, one mouse click would do
- Rebinding to a mouse key - I'm quite annoyed by the constant v-spamming for searching, I'd like to have that on my middle mouse/scroll wheel button for convenience, but can't bind it to that. Any chance?
- Speaking of mouse... I'm probably way too old and lazy, but I actually like.. no... love! mouse movement (point&click). Can't we just have the Origins-style right-click to move back? I just hate WASD, I'd rather have that hand for coffee/smokes/food/stuff.
- constant r holding to attack. Yes I'm lazy, but I'd really love an option for an auto base attack (Guild Wars 2-style?)
- 2 weapon sets! Please please please bring back fast switching between two sets... I hate being mobbed as an archer in melee and would love to bring out my daggers quick!
- Looting, reading, etc: I feel like I have to get much too close to things. Best solution would be the right-click to walk there solution, but at least a slightly larger interaction... area? My english leaves me here.
- Take All-Shortcut. This is probably the most annoying "one click too much". Either just loot all in the first place or press F again to loot all.
Long story short, I guess I still think Origins had the best/only real PC controls and yes, I'd love to have them back because for me they worked best for keyboard and mouse. And to me it feels like most of the points above could be solved and made optional for those who prefer it.
As for the menues, I'm not going into it, that's another topic. Short version: Don't like, but probably too much to fix.
