Here's a quicklist of things I've noticed that are or should've been included from ME3MP enhancements and common complaints:
1. The lobby menu navigation is faster in DAMP.
2. The Ready-up timer should have been brought over (one player holding up the entire lobby is bad).
3. Constant server disconnecting was brought over (no it's not my connection).
4. Saving rewards during game play is in DAMP (however XP should be included as well because the constant server disconnects can force you play multiple games and not be able to level).
5. A new player drop-in causes you to become un-ready in DAMP. ME3MP gave new drop-ins 20 secs to ready up if everyone else was already set.
6. Incapacitated/Potion system(?). Bring back the old revive system and allow players to use potions for healing and self-revive.
7. "Shoulder-bumping" still seems to be an issue. Many corridors are too narrow and a single player can block other from passing through. Players should be able pass by without their sprint stopping, targeting being thrown off, or getting stuck behind other players.
8. Why no visible "I7" ranking in lobby? There's pros and cons to not listing the players Prestige, but listing it helps other players gauge their experience.
9. RNG store actually fits this game much better than ME3MP. No complaints... so far. Will it start to lag as more DLCs are released later down the line is the question.
10. Game in session is better. Since players can only drop in during end of a wave (which should've been in ME3MP), there's no lag on drop-ins and lower chance of being thrown into a GIS. The players should be able to select if they want to join a GIS or available lobby though.
11. A button (action button). Everything on the A-button was a problem in ME3MP, especially since you couldn't remap the button behavior. It's not a big as a problem now. Let's hope it stays that way.
12. Sync player action. BioWare fix pls. If one person is reviving or performing an action, other players shouldn't be seeing a prompt to perform it as well.
13. Random map selection is missing in lobby system. Host shouldn't have to change maps if everyone doesn't mind it constantly changing. Is there problem with this and players finding available lobbies?
14. Client predictor - It's terrible. Rubber-banding seems to be a major issue. Even with poor latency I'd expect much better than a pre-2000 performance. Being able to play with people across the world isn't so much fun when we're all lagging. The game needs better latency matching or gives players ability to choose.
15. Not noobie-friendly. For those new to DA there's little instruction on MP gameplay. A tutorial on basic gameplay and weapon/armor crafting for first-time players might be useful. There is more detail in equipment than there was in ME3MP but no good detail on usage.
16. OSD control. There's not a bunch of overlays (challenge updates etc) splashing on your screen that prevents you from viewing the battle appropriately. There should be an option to turn off other players statistics (health etc). Hopefully there won't be any Geth Scanner blinding features (or give players ability to toggle those on/off instead of altering Gamma).
17. Dropping out in the final wave. ARGH!!! Still?! This should a 1% issue, not 10%.
18. Host migration is much better than ME3MP.
19. Constantly changing lobbies (to find a good team) seems to result in game disconnects.
20. No spammy powers that I've noticed... yet. Some powers make it hard for melee kits to see though.
21. Is singleplayer game integrity sacrificed for multiplayer enhancement? That remains to be seen. Anyone reaching the ending yet? ![]()
Overall I'm having fun so far. I'm sure changes in the future will make it more fun.
Edit: Apparently there is a way to tell it's a GIS because all the other players will have a "combat icon" instead of seeing a check-mark next to their name in the banner. If you ready-up in the lobby then you are thrown into the game. Some things you figure out the hard way. lol Throwing up a message in the lobby saying the game is currently in session and including the current round would be a nice touch.
