I sadly didn't write any down, but Varric and Cass actually made me laugh pretty hard sometimes. Also, I nearly lost a fight because I was laughing at Vivienne firmly telling Iron Bull during combat that she was not to be called "Viv" and Iron Bull hastily correcting himself. It was pretty hilarious.
I'm really think Cass's personality is funny and love to hear her banter with Varric...I still just have my original 3, Cass, Varric, and Solas, since I seem to be stuck in the Hinterlands for what seem's like years and haven't picked up any other companions yet. "ping, ping, ping" ![]()
I don't remember the exact transcript, but something between Sera and Vivienne about Sera's ass and Vivienne fainting over it. I had to pause the game for a second I was laughing so hard.
I have a pretty steady party of Blackwall, Cole, and Dorian. I don't remember anything exact off the top of my head, but their conversations make me giggle.
Anyone else having trouble getting banter to fire? I've been wandering around the hinterlands for hours with different parties and nothing's triggering. I heard loads of banter in the beginning (with solas/cass/varric). Maybe it's because I haven't really started doing main story missions yet? I've done a ton of side quests but I haven't actually gone to support either the templars or the mages yet.
With what frequency does banter trigger for you guys?

I just figured it was too big to have as much as we normally hear.
Solas and Iron Bull playing chess in their heads. Hilarious.
Bull giving instructions to Varric on how to describe him in his books. Didn't write it down, but Bull said to use the words "rippling" and "ripped" - referring to his muscles. Varric on the other hand replied with something on the lines of Bull's stomach rippling after every big meal, and his shirt ripping as a result
Also, anything between Varric and Cass ![]()
Love the banters so far! All are funny!
Question though: how do you respond/talk in party banters on PC? I have no idea!
Iron Bull and Dorian have some fantastic dialogue. Their relationship is hilarious. Bull is just doing his thing, but Dorian (being a Tevinter mage) is obviously paranoid and distrustful of a Qunari (who hate Tevinter and mages). There's one scene, I don't have the EXACT dialogue, but it's kind of like this. The whole time, Dorian is obviously angry and ranting, while Iron Bull is just nonchalant, almost bored.
Dorian: So, when are you going to kill me?
Bull: I dunno. Why would I?
Dorian: I know it must kill you to be alongside a Tevinter mage!
Bull: Enh.
Dorian: Would you be more comfortable if I was in chains?
Bull: Only if I buy you dinner first.
Dorian: How long before you're sewing my mouth shut?
Bull: That depends. Will you shut up anytime soon?
Also, Bull and Blackwall have some great moments. ("Do heads count?" lol)
There was this great bit I heard today in Crestwood, between Varric and Cassandra.
I don't remember the exact wording, but it came down to Cassandra wanting Hawke's autograph for her copy of Tales of the Champion.
The same one she threw into Varric's face and put a dagger through in the intro to DA2, as Varric notes.
This started with Varric asking Cass what Hawke could have possibly done if he'd (my current Hawke's a he) been at the Conclave.
(one of the few bits of banter I heard today; I definitely think they either cut down the volume of banter or it only triggers if you're running main or character-specific side quests while exploring, because I should have been inundated by banter with how much I've played in the last three days. If I had to guess, they cut down how often it plays because with how long you can spend running around every area in the game, if it played at fairly regular intervals, they'd run out of new things to say by the time did everything in the Hinterlands).
Sera is...surprisingly nice to Cassandra, or as nice as a full-time troll can be. Something something about punching bears, and Cass finally not disagreeing with her about punching bears. Not at all like the dynamic between Varric and Cass which, while funny, seems like constant passive-aggressive jabs from Varric.
Another one earlier one is Solas and Varric going back and forth about Dwarven and Elven master-race, and petty human problems, before Cass finally interjected with "Are you two gentlemen quite done yet?!" ![]()
I think I remember Bull saying something about Dorian polishing his staff for battle and Dorian went "URgh...."
Also Solas talking in Elven language to Sera and she just blow a raspberry and he's like "What?!!" and she just tell him to use proper words ...I could feel Solas disappointment.
But there wasn't a lot of banter sadly.
Best banter I've heard so far that had me laughing hard was when Blackwall asked Solas about 'special friends' in the fade.
So far my favorites have been Bull and Sera talking about pretty girls, and Bull and Dorian doing some weird yet hilarious passive aggressive flirting. Yeah... Bull's banter with just about anyone makes me chuckle.
