As a heterosexual male, I honestly found Krem kinda hot It was probably Jennifer Hale's voice acting, mostly. I also really like "masculine" women, in real life. Krem would probably rather be referred to as a man, though. Kinda cool, though, and his character definitely adds variety and fits well in a rag-tag mercenary band like the Chargers.

I actually found Krem to be interesting prior to the reveal of his gender identity. He has an interesting look, solid dialogue, likable personality, and more than any of that, gives us a fresh, new insight into Tevinter society no less enlightening than that of Fenris or Dorian. 

 

I think that's why it's such a big deal. It's not just that Krem is transexual, it's that Krem is a well done, well rounded character who happens to be transexual. Given Dragon Age's depiction of - prostitutes and comedy gags - I'd say that is a big leap forward.

Krem is great.  He is great as Iron Bull's 2nd in command.  I would love to hang out with them in real life lol.
