I kinda think this game might have been betetr if it used the ME3MP engine, and they had just added a crafing system.

Would that have worked?  We had melee in ME3MP, and while not great, it worked.

I long for the old cover system and points-skill-trees (not just a simple skill tree).

I can see where
You are going but I don't think so. I kinda pictured dragon age 1 on firebase white when I first heard of it. The game is different tho and I think making it the same way would not be the best. Also I like skill trees. We can have more to choose from than ME3

But with no cover mechanic it limits the tactics, and makes if feel like a standard coop dungeon crawler.

Skill trees are ok, but I'd have rather seen the ability to further buff a perk by putting more points into it... more flexibility in builds.

They could still have done random map generation, where you'd move between random generated firebase maps at the end of each roun each round (using a common tele set for the location).

I guess it's moot tho.  ME4MP had better be more like ME3MP than DAMP.

This MP is growing on me.  The maps are murder.....3 maps!?  Thats mean and brutal to do to your players, but the gameplay its self....I know they want it to have its own identity and I think they have that....when more characters come it will help a lot.

The removal of healing kills this game more than anything.  They really blew it on that one.  ME3 MP is still worlds superior, but this isn't bad IMO.

^ FULLY AGREED!  The removal of a healing mechanic is curious.

The collision detection between players in tight corridors is

a bit wonky in DAMP.  At least it feels that way coming from

many hours in ME3MP.  The system requirements I think,

are much higher for DAMP.  That means any person that

chooses to host, really needs a system that is well beyond

minimum requirements for a group to have a good experience.

The change from horde mode to tactics dungeon is welcome.

I'm up for something different.  Maybe by the time me4 rolls

around, we'll get some hybrid mode, or completely different.

Skill trees, crafting, new group oriented synergies.  Very

well received here.  Plus I really, really like that it's much

harder for people to by rote throw out players based

on their gear.  For now, thats great.  It may be that in

the future, people will look at promotions, or some other

thing to discriminate.

Way to early for me to conceive of kicking anyone based on anything (although if you run past treasure rooms look for da boot!).

It'd be nice to have a means to inspect another players build loadout... it's more about trying to synergize than descriminate.  ME3MP, if I drop in a lobby full of biotics, then I select a biotic, and avoid tech ammo.  Hard to do that here beyond just making sure the basic classes are covered.
