So I decided *not* to have Liliana's spies do the work - I was following along Josephine's plan. Now I'm stuck at the part where you need to do a favor for judge Auld - it says this is supposed to be a War Table event. However I have looked at every option on the table and none mention the judge, or seem at all related. Am I missing something? There are a few war table events in Orlais still that I have not done, are some of them prereqs? Or can anyone tell me exactly which table event it is?

Sure enough, I log in this morning and there it is. I would swear it wasn't there before.

 

For reference it's called "Getting a Judge's Favor" and it's just north of Haven.

I haven't been able to get back to Val Royleaux to meet her there. do I need to advance past Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts in order to return?

No, you don't. Try talking to Josephine again, maybe?

You can get there from a world map icon. Instead of the War Room.

It is kind of tough because it is logical that the judge will be on the Orlais side. But I like this quest and I like the fact they put him where we would not expect on the map.
Also it is more fun to try diplomatically solve this in stead of sending stealthy rogues to destroy the contract. Don't you agree<?
