Really hate how it is controlled. I dont want Lel or Cass to get into this cesspool of zealous fanatics. Vivienne is...dispatchable.

Now i tried to talk Cass and Lel out of it, while Viv doesnt say a word about the matter and i have no idea who it will be. Way to fck your story Bioware.

P.S. It is also annoying that they chose the worst ending possible for DA:O. My inquisitor made Morrigan a child, then slaughtered in Witch Hunt his way through anything that was between her and him and finally went "Morrigan, what the hell?" and she was like "Omfg, fine, if you cant just fck a toaster or something, tag along, your kid is waiting" and mine was like "Sweeeeeet"  - well, at least thats how i remember it. It was definately not this emo-stricken ending where the female warden offed herself to save the day.

I think having Vivienne as Divine is overall a good outcome:

Pros

- She restores the institutions of the Circle, Templar and Chantry to how they once were. I believe that the circle system can work and it is useful in training mages. This system needs rational and sane people on both the mage and Templar side to prevent incidents like Kirkwall.

- A strong Divine on the Sunburst throne can deter influence from the Qunari and Tevinter.

- She has a strong influence on the Templars and this can be interpreted as a good thing. The Templar reputation among the faithful will be bad because they have just rebelled against the chantry. So Vivienne will need to be seen as having control of the Templars to restore this lost confidence.

- She has experience of being a mage in the circle. This will be the first Divine what has had first hand experience of the system.

- Mages are given more freedom.

- She could become an inspiration to mages and the faithful (as she is a connection between the two). This could make people's views change on mages as a whole.

Cons

- She is a mage and this is against Andrastian tradition.

- Rebellions

- A lot of the power is held by her so the system might deteriorate when Vivienne isn't Divine.

Anyway, I got Vivienne as Divine and I am happy at the moment. I got her as Divine by allying with the Templars, exiling wardens and supporting Vivienne at the war table. My attitude was the same as hers pro-chantry and pro-circle.

pretty much agree with this i think viv is a nice choice in the long run kinda like baby steps towards mage acceptance ultimately

i like leliana and all but what she would do if she was divine is the equivalent of throwing a bunch of kids who can't swim into the deep end of a pool

but i manage to get viv on my second playthrough by allying with templars, i kept the wardens though also i didn't support any of them at the war table

My Amell have nothing against the chantry, she just think mages should have the chance to be free for once. :)

Leliana is the one who makes it happen.

Vivienne is just power-hungry, in my opinion. I doubt she cares about the Chantry at all. She just wants moar powah.
