I know i may get flamed for this. But I enjoyed Dragon Age 2. I felt Hawke's story was an essential part of the Dragon Age lore and it had its place. I understand that many felt that alot of events were unavoidable, but it was the story that NEEDED TO BE TOLD. My biggest problem with the game wasnt that you were in kirkwall for the whole game (it added a neat story arc) but that Cave A, B, and C are the same cave. That Mansion A, B, and C are the same, that was the issue. I feel if the reused maps were not there, Dragon Age 2 would not have gotten the back lash...

Now i'm about 23 hours in according to my save ( I feel like ive only played 10 hours because real life distractions) so I havent encoutered Hawke, so im not sure what kind of closure you get with him/her. That being said, it occured to me.. why not a Hawke DLC to finsih his/her story? (if it doesnt finish by the end of inqusition) My reasoning;

1. Hawke is already in the game, you can customize him, and his class. Having a tempory companion that you customized is a great idea. each experience will be slightly different.

2.Dragon Age 2's flags can heavily change the experience. The DLC would and should reflect the major changes from your import save. Between Hawke's mannerisms (diplomatic, sarcastic, ruthless) and story choices, it would again, make a very different experience.

3.Can catter for more cameos for fans. I was never a fan of throwing in cameos to just throw in cameos, but it can appeal to people.

Why its a bad idea

1. Bioware already said they werent doing DLCs with more companions because each comapnion is so heavily intergrated into the game. Also there are 9 companions already, you have access to every build possible already. My solution for this is to have Hawke as a required companion for his DLC area. (like the hinterlands)

2. Community hate for Dragon 2. People hate the game so much that they automatically dont care for the story elements from 2. I get that.

I just think it would be a very different apprach to a DLC that would add alot of replayability in the DLC itself. A DLC heavily affected by previous games/Keep is a great way to add alot of content in a DLC. Thanks for litsening. Stay Classy Bioware Social forums.
